Unfortunately it was not possible to make a reservation. Nevertheless, we got a pitch right next to the playground, which was great for the children. The playground and the rental accommodation look great and modern. The bathing lake is an... absolute dream in hot temperatures. The lake and slides are free for camping guests. You get a discount at the aquapark. This is highly recommended. Baguettes are available to order in the morning. Ample, level pitches, close to the French motorway. highwayNegatīvaisEntrance and exit far too narrow, cleaning staff overworked when fully occupied, some of the sanitary facilities in need of renovationBeautifully located site, close to the A 35 highway, large bathing lakeKnowing that we were there in the low season, we didn't find any stressed operators, but a very helpful and friendly lady at reception and a nice gentleman on the pitch. We can imagine that the situation is tense when the beach is busy and the pitches are full, and that consistent management and administration... is necessary here. We found the pitches and their arrangement in the front area to be fine, but you can certainly expect a lot of movement and unrest here during the season. Then it is certainly not a place for those seeking relaxation. The facilities and their condition are average overall, the rear sanitary facilities were very well maintained and almost as good as new, the front ones are in need of renovation. The entrance and exit is a real challenge for caravans with a width of 2.5 meters. Something urgently needs to change! The large bathing beach is also accessible to the public through a separate entrance, the campsite is separated from it by a fence. Campers have free access.Automātiski tulkots.

There were good managers there. Now a couple of campsite managers have been working there for a few years. Just unfriendliness, no motivation, no service (restaurant). A totally outdated sanitary block, plaster falling off the walls, dripping drains, wobbly toilets, missing toilet... seats (according to other campers for months), lack of cleanliness (see pictures), very short opening hours at reception (closing time is 6 pm, lunch break 3 hours). What is to become of the campsite? I hope the municipality of Lauterbourg will do something. 1. suggestion of a new manager 2. new construction (renovation impossible) of the sanitary building. This was no longer the case on our current visit. Even at reception we were greeted grumpily and in a 'what do you want here' kind of way. The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired, only... one of the men's toilets (4) is usable as the toilet seat is missing on the others. The food on offer in the "restaurant".Very nice quarry pondThe quarry pond directly adjacent to the campsite is a dream. There is a lot of space on the sunbathing lawn, so it never really feels crowded. The campsite itself is well-kept, the sanitary facilities are old and quite dirty during the day. The reception was friendly and the allocated pitch was very... spacious. In general, it has to be said that the tent pitches offer plenty of space and room so that you don't end up hanging on top of each other. What is not at all good is the food on offer in the restaurant. There were chips, pizza and tarte flambée. A "restaurant" like this could be run with more passion. All in all, we liked it. The reception closes at 18:00, even after calling in advance the tenant was anything but enthusiastic when we arrived at 20:10. The site itself is completely ok, unlike some other reviewers have described it, it was very quiet (but also low season). Sanitary facilities outdated, unkempt and mustyTenant couple unfriendly and grumpyWe visited this place for the 2nd time for a weekend while passing through. Our first impression was not misleading. The tenant couple are unfriendly, grumpy and listless. Unfortunately, because the site is in a beautiful location on a quarry pond and Lauterbourg is quite nice for a weekend. Some of... the sanitary facilities are not opened at all, as they would have to be cleaned. The rest of the facilities are outdated, musty and not yet cleaned despite the start of the season in mid/end March. The unmotivated tenants, who are not in the mood and are more annoyed by guests than welcoming them in a friendly manner, will make us avoid this place in future.Automātiski tulkots.
- Valleweib V.augusts 2011The campsite is beautifully situated by the lake. It is a nice little campsite, with vacation campers at the front and permanent campers at the back. The owner family is very nice and accommodating and the site is dog-free. Sanitary facilities are simple, toilet paper is available, but not as clean as... on German or Swiss campsites, but we always had (almost too) hot water. - Claudia K.jūlijs 2011The campsite is beautifully situated on the lake. The sanitary facilities are clean but basic. There is neither a hair dryer nor can you regulate the water temperature. We didn't have really warm water most of the time. The pitches are big enough. However, the noise on the pitch was a big problem. Unfortunately,... there is no control at all over the night-time quiet from 10pm or midnight and so during our stay some youth groups used the pitch to hold their drinking parties (drinking with a hose and funnel). Sometimes loud music was playing all day. In addition, the sunbathing lawn by the lake is also used by local young people to party, as access is always open at night. We had music until 4 am. There is a live music event every Saturday, which can go on until 2am. The restaurant is a self-service restaurant. Fresh bread etc. is only available if ordered in advance. Despite the beautiful location, the place was just too noisy for us.Automātiski tulkots.
- Jonathan L.maijs 2010Great camping site. There is a Carrefour about 5 minutes drive away from the site, so you can get all kind of great french foods. The only problem in my view is that the site is a bit noisy. There is a sign that says that at 10 all should be quiet but when someone is loud (specially teen ager groups)... the owners do not enforced silence. Other than that it is great: There is a lake next to it, a lot of games for kids. You can order bread at the reception, there is a bar. It is quite good. I have been there twice and I will definitely come back over again.Automātiski tulkots.
