The access road is very spacious and there is plenty of room to park your vehicle in front of the campsite during registration. We also received a very friendly welcome here.
There are 3 sanitary blocks, one of which is newly renovated. One was... already closed. Our sanitary block was getting on in years, but well heated, hot water and also relatively clean. No removable shower heads. Toilets downstairs closed at the side and some accessible from the outside. Not separated by w/m.
The pitches are spacious. The boundaries are clearly recognizable.
Baguettes could be pre-ordered in the bistro.
The beautiful town and the castle are a ten-minute walk away. Some castles (Chaumont, Chenonceau) are easily accessible by bike.
Large supermarkets in the industrial area and also city markets directly in the town. Friday and Sunday market in the town.

The site is large, so the distances are sometimes a bit longer...
Otherwise, a very friendly welcome, check-in went very quickly despite the peak season even without a reservation and after a few minutes we were sitting in front of the caravan... eating.
The sanitary facilities were simple, typical for France, and older in one of the three buildings. By the way, there is no hot water there!
If the sanitary facilities were not clean, it was usually due to the users...

Keine Schutzhütte. Für Zeltreisende sehr limitiert.Superb!Super gelegener Campingplatz mitten auf der Insel, fußläufig zur Stadt, gute Rezeptionszeiten,nette Mitarbeiter, sehr hilfsbereit. Sanitär okay für französische Verhältnisse. Preis-Leistung super, kostenloses Schwimmbad, Kanutour hinter dem Gelände, ich wäre gerne länger geblieben.

The site is laid out like a Roman military camp. Strict orthogonality ensures clarity. Unfortunately, as there are no visual boundaries between the pitches, the quality of stay is correspondingly... low. The meadows of the pitches are somewhat humpy but well maintained. As the sanitary facilities are located at the edge of the site, the paths are long. The sanitary facilities themselves are modern and well cleaned.

De plaatsen zijn gemarkeerd en groot genoeg. Everything is prima verzorgd, het sanitair is groot en schoon, goede schaduw, en er is overal gratis WIFI. Er is bij... de ingang een bar, maar er is verder weinig vertier. On het eiland zijn wel nog een stuk of drie restaurants, een midget golf baan, een wandelpark met schitterend zicht op de stad, en een drukbezocht zwembad. De indeling is zoals vaker: campers en caravans voor in de camping, de tenten achterin. Dit zorgt voor de tent houders zoals wij voor voldoende rust. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend, zeker voor deze bijzondere lokatie!Automātiski tulkots.

The service is rather impersonal, but not unfriendly. The pitches are large enough, but the grass could do with a shorter mowing cycle. The pitches are all numbered but not further subdivided, some of the pitches are shaded by trees. The sanitary facilities are good,... but not too plentiful, when the place is full (in June, only 25% full for us) it could be tight. The many small flies that fly all over the site and cover the actually clean sanitary facilities with a black layer in the morning are a negative feature. However, this is certainly not the fault of the campsite operator, but is in the 'nature of things'.Automātiski tulkots.

Free Wifi.NegatīvaisNo normal sockets in the wash house.Recommended CP in a great location.CP located on an island in the middle of the Loire, town, castle and market within walking distance. Pitches very spacious, but without hedges. Sunny and semi-shady pitches due to trees. Areas for motorhomes and caravans somewhat separated, but not strictly adhered to. It is a little restless due to... the frequent arrivals and departures and the morning trips of the motorhomes to the waste disposal station. Quiet at night though. There are 2 new sanitary facilities: toilets with toilet seats, individual washing cubicles available. No toilet paper, soap or hand dryers. There are 2 hair dryers in one sanitary block. Unfortunately no normal sockets in the wash house, perhaps usable with an adapter and only 6A at the pitch. Sanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day, at least in high season. Electricity at the pitch with Schuko plug, no CEE. Discounted entry for camping guests to the outdoor pool next to the campsite (only open in July/August). For us, a recommended campsite for the Loire Valley with a great price/performance ratio. As already written, central location on the island, you hardly need the car, everything easily accessible on foot or by bike. Sanitary relatively new, was cleaned in the morning and evening. Municipal swimming pool and playground on the island.... Even in mid-August we got a place without a reservation. Therefore long distances. The reception was slow and inefficient, would not want to arrive there in high season. There was no bakery service and no kiosk. A smelly broth swam under the water taps on... the CP, which were besieged by small flies. There were millions of these creatures, especially at dusk, but we didn't notice any bites.
