Especially at weekends, the local youth unfortunately organize motorcycle races on the adjacent street...
City campsite, therefore also a little restless
A very nicely laid out city campsite with a brand new sanitary building. Unfortunately a bit impractical here and there, as is typical for France (soap is only available at the dishwashing sinks?!). On the other hand, guests can use the brand new indoor/outdoor pool next door free of charge!
The walk... into town takes about 15 minutes and leads through parks.
The road at the CP is there and you can hear it. Anything else would be a lie. Therefore, try to get a parking space further away if possible.
All in all, a really recommendable place for a sightseeing tour or just passing through!

-location, less than 2 km to city center on pleasant footpath next to the river -freshly renovated sanitary area -good bakery across the street

- the pool is a communal swimming space which was overcrowded and had quite limited opening hours (school vacation period)
Bayeux by foot
Nice camping location to visit Bayeux or the D-day beaches. Bayeux can be reached by foot and then has several restaurants and bars for different tastes closely together. A large bakery is across the street, but croissants and baguette can be preordered for 8.30. Large supermarket and one brasserie closeby. Sanitary spaces very clean, but a bit sparse. Toilet paper and seats available, but no soap.

Great place, conveniently located
Old town within easy walking distance along the Aude.
Friendly welcome.
Pitches are level and asphalted, the rest of the plot is perfectly manicured grass. Electricity at the pitch.
Sanitary facilities fairly new, clean and well maintained.
A campsite that inspires.

Exemplary city camping
We stayed here for one night to visit Bayeux and were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful site with fixed pitches, good sanitary facilities with toilet paper and toilet lid (extremely rare in France). Free WLAN. Some of the pitches are a bit sloping. The town can be reached on foot via a signposted path along the Aure.

Quick access to the city.

Old sanitary area (to be renewed in 2018). No access to the CP during the lunch break.
There are better things
The SP is basically o.k., unfortunately the sanitary facilities are very old. The SP is comfortable, womos should have wedges with them. The staff's lunch break is negative. If you want to see the town of Bayeux, there is nothing wrong with this campsite, otherwise you should choose a different campsite.
