- Aart-Jan S.August 2011We were at this campground for the first time this year with our two young children We had booked early (October last year) to be sure of a spot easily accessible for a scoot mobile and two spots next to each other with shade. We paid the total amount in advance, as stated in the terms and conditions.... Upon arrival, it turned out that the reservation was not there at first, then again. So it turned out that accessibility had not been taken into account. Camping boss Jan wanted to arrange everything, nice of him but of course much too late, moreover, there were no better alternatives. That did not start well. Pretty bummed because we had arranged this especially for our friends ... We were looking for a small campsite with pool, child-friendly, shady and spacious spots. We camped with two tents. Positive experience: - lovely swimming pool - good food on buffet night - good bread supply with delicious bread. - quiet campsite and beautifully situated. Negative experience: - sanitary facilities are a mockery (3 toilets and 3 showers for 100+ places!) - campground is much larger than stated in the guides ( rather 160 places than the stated 80) - showers are closed between 14:00-17:00 because children would be in shower all afternoon.... - in line for toilet, in line for shower and cold too..... Well some found 20 degrees quite nice still..... - no money back if you leave early. When booking you have to pay everything in advance. If you want to leave a day earlier you can whistle for your money. It is your own choice is then said. So do not pay everything in advance is the motto if you want to reserve. - There are "easy" prices. All products are sold in multiples of 50 euro cents. A baquette costs one euro just like a croissant. Well,.... That's easily 40 percent extra. Too bad about the sanitary facilities, you use them several times a day and if they are also very bad. By the way, a second swimming pool is being built, which makes you wonder about the vision behind it. We also find the non-refund of prepaid camping fees for early departure scandalous. We wanted a day earlier but there were also people who wanted to leave a week earlier, then you're talking about 250 euros, which you lost! Just outrageous. So for us no second time at Les Vallons des Oiseaux. Hopefully Amanda will change course but as long as her father still lives on the site he will continue to leave his mark on this campsite.Automātiski tulkots.
