Dilapidated campsite
ATC Nitrianske Rudno has been going downhill for years. The prices years ago corresponded to the quality of a dilapidated campsite with equipment from the times of socialism, currently they are two to three times higher. The only thing you will find here is peace - in a huge camp for a thousand people... there are dozens of them during the week, it fills up a bit on nice weekends. Forget the pebble beach, there are old concrete panels with green slime. Showers and toilets are far away, broken and not cleaned daily, fortunately so big that you can always find some working shower and toilet. The hot water always works, apparently it is sized for hundreds of people. There is a working restaurant at the reception, rather some buffets on weekends.
You can also pitch your tents by the water, but then at least 200m from the shower and toilet.
Equipped, level pitches for caravans with electric hook-ups are just behind the reception, 200m from the water, to pour a chemical toilet you go 150m.
Tip: check prices at reception. The price list is only on the web, but a new tenant adds new, often bizarre surcharges from day to day. As of 13.7.2023 an adult stay with all extras cost 8.80€, a child 4,50€, car 5€, tent 5€, electricity 7€.
Tip: in the meantime, you can leave your car on the neighbouring unfenced plot by the Yellow Terrace buffet. Until when, we don't know.

Unpleasant receptionist Mrs. Sabina who comes to work after opening hours when there is already a crowd waiting for her who needs to return the key. The price list on the website does not correspond to reality.
Kemp reports different information on FB and Web than the reality
You can't get away from the campsite before 9 o'clock even though it is supposed to be open from 9 o'clock. Even though we have a car without a built-in and we sleep on a car mattress it takes up less space than the tents we paid for a campervan. The price for overhead (water, rubbish..is on the website 3 e and we paid 7 for two people ???? The price list is not posted. The bins in the area are full. The pizzeria has no pizza.
