Het sanitair zier er perfect uit, voor de douches moet wel een muntje worden gekocht. We were here one night on a door trip and were able to stay overnight.NegatīvaisGeenCamping met klein zwemmeertjeHet personeel op de camping was erg vriendelijk en bekommerde zich ook om de kinderen. Op de camping is een foodtruck en naast de camping een gasthof. Wij kozen voor een schnitzel met uit de foodtruck, maar waren over de kwaliteit van het eten niet enthousiast. We were able to stay attached. Super new and super clean sanitary facilities. Showers are separate and cost one euro. (Rare but ok). Food truck on site and nice little lake in the middle. Easy to reach from the A7 (approx. 15 minutes). Cycling is not so much fun. There is a military training area on one side. It's a nice area, but you can't get there by bike. On the other side is the highway...Small, clear, beautiful lakeI was very surprised, pleasantly surprised and delighted. This place is a hit. We were lucky enough to be able to stand right on the water. The view was truly adventurous.... Watching the children and adults "boarding" and climbing onto the rafts was fun and pure relaxation. With a water depth of 1.30,... even I dared to get on the SUP to practice without "fear" of falling into the depths. pure pleasure.
I was also surprised by the sanitary facilities for this small campsite. Well equipped and always clean! The shower time (with coins) of 7 minutes is sufficient. The food truck is an eye-catcher and the food - well, just camping food - is enough! The bathing lake is a dream, with a depth of 130 cm suitable for everyone. The rafts in it are a pleasure for young and old.
The professional handling of the overnight guests arriving daily is organized in such a way that the holidaymakers notice very little. I was... impressed to see how the whole meadow is filled with caravans evening after evening, which disappear again silently in the morning. It is logical that this causes a certain amount of unrest, but this is also thanks to the location on the A7.
The CP owner donates bread rolls from a rival bakery and has placed a snack bar right in front of the inn - a pity, these things work in the background. It is also noticeable that people are treated very differently, I have heard very different reports, but have only had good experiences myself.
The sanitary facilities are modern, but I didn't notice any shortages.

Very nice team who always like to surprise us. This morning they put four bread rolls in front of our car. Many thanks for that.
When people are impetuous (requests when the campsite is full), they try to act calmly and with a solution-oriented approach.... This temporarily presents the team with unpleasant tasks. (Especially when the campsite is full). They try to find a suitable solution for everyone. A big thank you for this too.
The campsite itself is an oasis. Quiet, clean and in the middle of nature. There is a romantic bathing pond on the campsite itself. There is even a food van on the site offering lots of tasty treats. Sufficient choice of good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Bakery opposite.
The sanitary facilities are new, clean and well maintained.
In the reviews, people complain about the short-stayers who are looking for a safe place to stay. I don't find this annoying at all because the changes are quiet and professionally organized. Several hiking trails start behind the campsite. The Mottener is a particularly beautiful hiking trail. There is a really good restaurant on the site and a bakery on the other side of the road. Dogs are welcome, there is a large meadow at the edge of the site where dogs can let off steam. In addition to the actual pitches, there is a large meadow where you can park without being disconnected. Electricity is available. The campsite operators are very friendly... and you are given instructions. The location of the site is very nice. It is about 7 km from the A7. The sanitary facilities are tastefully decorated and were always clean. The small bathing lake in the middle of the site is great for swimming. Perhaps a small playground for the little ones is missing, at least we didn't see one during our short visits. The bakery directly opposite the campsite sells fresh bread rolls and coffee for the onward journey. We liked it very much. We will be back again.Automātiski tulkots.- E. The site was only sparsely occupied and we were given a nice pitch right by the lake. The staff are very friendly. Very nice operators and a top groundsman who also takes time for a nice chat or simply brings over a few zucchinis from his own garden. A place where you can simply relax. And of course the beautifully landscaped bathing lake, which was very refreshingly cool, even in the hot temperatures this year. We promise to come back to Kothen often. Unfortunately, we had really bad weather this time. We are a 50+ couple with a dog and travel with a T5 and awning. The site is well maintained, the sanitary buildings are super clean and the bakery across the road has all the essentials and even... buns on Sundays. The inn "Zur Postkutsche" in the village is also hospitable to dog owners and has exceptionally good cuisine, which alone is worth the trip. It is small and informal. The swimming pond is incredibly clean and tidy. Two rafts can be used free of charge and there is a mini sandy beach. The sanitary facilities are small, but clean and tidy. However, there is no alternative when they are... being cleaned. There is a bakery opposite the campsite where you can get a good supply of food. There is also a small pub next to the campsite. Otherwise that's it. The campsite is a long way from the beaten track. But for relaxing on the pitch in nice weather or for hiking trips in the Rhön a great starting point. Unfortunately, the staff could hardly answer any questions and were not quite as friendly as the campsite. No luxury, but a nice place for the price.Automātiski tulkots.
