Wolfgang G.August 2024PozitīviRestaurant, locationNegatīvaisFriendliness of the staff, cleanliness,Not recommendedWhen we booked the size of our caravan, we were allocated a tiny pitch that was so overgrown with olive trees that we had difficulty avoiding scratches when maneuvering.
It was not possible to change to 2 much larger pitches, as we had supposedly booked a "large motorhome". The next day, a small camper... van arrived.
Because of "dangerous winds", we were told to position the campervan in a certain direction. A fake, so that our extremely distant and, at least to us, not very talkative permanent camper neighbors (apparently good acquaintances on the site) would not be disturbed by the sight of us. After a few days of looking at the other neighbor's motorhome, we turned the WW around 180°. The "enthusiasm" was palpable, but no matter. Over 90 euros for the first row on the water without seeing anything?
The first 20 euros for electricity were used up after just 4 days. After complaining and rebooking, we ended up with a good 5 euros left over after another 7 days...
The Dutch manager of the campsite was very customer-unfriendly. She was not interested in solving any problems. Paid is paid - bad luck. The receptionist was not to blame as the person in charge. The only strange thing is that the restaurant manager who was present when we complained apologized to us shortly afterwards for the treatment.
The pitch had barely been cleared and the caravan had not yet been hitched up when the "boss" checked that everything had been left properly.
Sanitary facilities not up to 4 stars. Cleaned daily, but by the afternoon at the latest everything was dirty and there was paper everywhere. Mold on the silicone joints of the washbasins; these could be replaced cheaply at the beginning of the season.
Good restaurant on site with reasonable prices and friendly service. The mini market has everything you need.

It was in the early evening, the campsite was very busy, there were several thieves who entered the motorhome very quickly and deliberately and tore out the safe and emptied wallets. We were only in the toilet... for a short time. We received no help or support from the staff, the police were not even called despite our urgent request.
Campsite is open all around, very poorly lit and not really guarded.
What we as "old" campers find really worrying is that afterwards no new campers were at least advised to be vigilant and careful.
Especially as it is probably not the first time this year that such robberies have occurred and nothing is being done by the campsite to prevent them.
For example, the gates are open all night and there are a lot of very dark areas.

Relatively limited possibilities on footIdyllic campsite for those seeking peace and quietA very nice campsite with Italian flair, at the tip of a great headland. It's a little difficult to get there but easy to find with the description on the website. Once you get there, the very nice manager gives you a map of the site and you can take a look around and choose a nice pitch.
A little tip:... It doesn't always have to be right at the front, the two sides also have beautiful pitches.
The restaurant offers very good food at a fair price and you can get everything you need in the supermarket on the campsite. (Open daily from 08:00)
The sanitary facilities are located on two floors in the main building, are well maintained and are cleaned several times a day. Super!
The small harbor with restaurant and bar can be reached via the. Access road or along the beach in about 10 minutes. It's not very busy there, but it's not a party place either. To see more, you need at least a bicycle or you can go by car.
We also recommend the short hike to Rocca dei Manerba. An old fortress with a fantastic view over Lake Garda.

The views are great from many places. The most sensational places are of course at Spitz. In the immediate vicinity there is only Salo as a larger town to stroll around. The sanitary facilities could be optimized. The plastic panels covered by... the storm have been lying half on the canopies of the sanitary facilities for quite a long time. Today it is still expensive, the sanitary facilities are also from that time, fortunately they are always clean. At the end of a small headland, right on the water. If the site wasn't so expensive (low season, just under €50, motorhome, two adults) I could spend my retirement there later... The site is partly terraced and there are actually no bad pitches.... The small wood at the front is particularly popular. Everything is neat and tidy and the staff are very friendly. There is a small supermarket and a restaurant. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but they are clean.
