Great little tourist area with water access
At first glance, the campsite looked a bit boring typical permanent camper place but the tourist area has fully convinced us with high comfort and great views of the Hagen Sea the whole thing was terraced so that everyone could look at the water and we were very warmly welcomed the place was very quiet and suitable for those who need less luxury and more nature

Campsite directly in front of the restaurant terrace
As a cyclist, I was assigned a spot of 8 square meters directly below the restaurant terrace, five meters in front of about 30 guests who were sitting at dinner, to set up my tent. In addition, directly in front of the sanitary facilities, the tent would have stood on the footpath usually used by the other campers. Unacceptable and in absolute contradiction to the descriptions on the homepage. Also quite unfriendly.

beautiful location on an arm of the Rhine, nice restaurant with a good selection of food, friendly and helpful permanent campers

Teenagers who are unfortunately not interested in the fact that campers might also want to sleep sometimes.
Public address until five in the morning...
We had chosen the campsite online and wanted to stay for two days. The site itself is in a very nice location and even has a mini beach. The restaurant is also nice with a beautiful view. However, apart from the very outdated and poorly thought-out sanitary facilities, what really put us off was the... fact that the son of the owner was listening to techno music at full volume in an endless loop until 5 a.m. without anyone doing anything about it. We took down our tent after the sleepless night and drove on.

The sanitary facilities there's nothing to argue about, just a comment about how bad they are, but if they were cleaned at some point it must have been a long time ago. what about the step to the shower, the coin slot is about 6 cm from the wall because the opening faces the wall, it's very well thought... out. there are other types of disability, not just those of the legs. in the toilet you stand in stinking water???? because the knee of the toilet is leaking (disgust factor very high) the fittings are so calcified that you can neither open nor close them.the doors if you lock them, you can't get them open afterwards because the door is jammed. you have peace and quiet on the pitch, but not at night who needs sleep when campers and permanent pitch owners meet for a campfire with discussion and singing until between 2 and 3.30 am. complain to whom, but they are all one big happy family.

So we can not understand the comment of Sabine at all ... we were always warmly welcomed and the food as well as the restaurant and beer garden were always to our satisfaction !!!! We ourselves were on this campsite for over 20 years and for us it was always very nice there even with the whole family Neuhaus & schwarzkopf ... so dear readers please do not be blinded by this implausible report !!!!
