Dishwashing, laundry washing and drying... Everything you need is available.

Depending on whether you need an electricity connection or not, you can set yourself up completely freely. The site is only moderately occupied in September and this gives a very open and spacious feeling. Of course, the pitches... on the banks of the Moselle are mostly occupied by permanent campers, with a few exceptions, but there are always a few free pitches. The roads to the left and right of the Moselle, the railroad line and the Moselle boats are barely audible within the island, but are clearly audible on the Moselle riverside and peripheral pitches.
Although the toilets are a few years old, they are well maintained and clean as long as the previous user leaves them clean. The same applies to the washing facilities. The showers themselves seem to be more recent and are very spacious, about 2 x 1.5 meters. You don't get stuck on a damp wall every time you move, which is great. They cost 50 cents per use, but you still enjoy showering here. And as I said, the cleanliness depends to a large extent on the users themselves. The dishwashing and laundry room with washing machine, dryer and changing table is also nice. Here, too, cleaning is carried out regularly and thoroughly.
There is a bread roll service at reception and in the restaurant. The bread rolls themselves are not handmade (square industrial products), but they are still delicious. The service is very friendly and courteous. Once we forgot to order breakfast rolls and the friendly lady at reception conjured up three.
All in all, very good value for money and definitely worth a recommendation.Automātiski tulkots. - Siv V.August 2019PozitīviLocationNegatīvaisSanitary facilities, unkempt grounds in placesWhat a pityIn terms of location, this could be one of the most beautiful places ever. Situated in the middle of the Moselle, very green. Unfortunately, it is not used to its full potential. Some of the pitches are uneven, and the paved areas on the pitches have everything from potholes to raised bricks. The reception... was friendly, we were only asked to stay on one half of the pitch, where we were free to choose. A few of the numerous permanent campers were still partying in front of their awning at 1 a.m. - you can like that, but it's not my cup of tea. The showers were ok, but I thought the toilets were in urgent need of an overhaul. Open holes in the tiles are also not necessary. The access road is really a bit adventurous and I only have a tiny caravan. How to get onto the site with a large caravan without scratching...I wouldn't have made it.Automātiski tulkots.

I was a guest for one night and what I found was an outrage but actually just a shame. The place is very nice and you could certainly make something out of it. Whether that's just down to the operator remains to be seen. As you can hear everywhere, the... operator has big problems with the municipality, which is why parts of the site just look impossible. Totally overgrown and overgrown, dingy, simply unsightly. The rest of the site is reasonably tidy. The showers are at least clean and seem to have been renovated. However, you need 50 cents to get hot water for a few minutes (if you're lucky). The toilets are dirty, old, rotten, very dark, sometimes without toilet paper holders, sometimes with, and with a bit of luck you might even get some paper. So you should definitely bring your own. There are no shopping facilities, at least not without having to move the car. There is a room with 3 sinks, one with cold water only, the 2nd with hot water which doesn't work. Only the 3rd sink works with hot water, provided you have put in another 50 cents!!!! again. An absolute cheek. The access road is narrow and steep, very dark and made with smooth stones. Walking here in the dark is dangerous, a flashlight is definitely a must. The whole place is just totally loveless, with a little effort and investment you could really make a great place out of it.Automātiski tulkots.

We stayed there for one night with our tent as part of our Moselle cycle tour. Place was OK, directly on the Moselle and beautifully situated. The staff were very friendly and the price was also reasonable. However, the sanitary facilities were not... that great. Showers were new and clean, toilets were old and dirty, sometimes even without toilet paper. Rest at night was limited due to the noisy streets. You have to cross a bumpy land bridge that can only be accessed from one direction. Unfortunately, you can't just turn around with a caravan ... Unfortunately, there is an electricity problem on the island - make sure you pack a long cable or extension!... Sufficient playground. Bread roll service available, but there are baked rolls - you can also make them yourself. Otherwise no kiosk. Instead, there is a pub that is well frequented by the other campers, so that you are sometimes woken up at night by the cheerful yelling of smokers standing outside the door. Absolute disaster: the sanitary facilities. The toilets are old and in need of renovation. Broken and nasty-stained water tanks, toilet seats that don't fit, etc. Above all: there is NO toilet paper. Those days are actually over ... Worst of all, the sanitary facilities are unheated! And that in sub-zero temperatures, which we still had last week. To top it off, there is only hot water in the showers and for washing up (for a fee). Not even at the washbasins in the sanitary area - which means: "cat washing" with ice-cold water and brushing your teeth. The administrators are friendly. Sanitary facilities are partly completely new but always very clean. There is even cleaned at night. The pitches are not divided, long distances to the electrical connections. Good, attractive showers (50 ct) contrast with unfriendly (very dark) toilets and a lack of washbasins (no soap, no hot water). In the kitchen there is only 1 sink out of 3 with hot water (far too few for the size of the place) and no cooking facilities.Automātiski tulkots.

A very long power cable is essential. The sanitary facilities are clean, but there is no toilet paper and hot water is only available in the showers. There is a total difference. During the vacation season it's totally quiet and relaxing there and at VW bus meetings it's party time. I'm not sure if the owners are really doing themselves a favor with the WV bus meeting, because... that puts the place in a completely wrong light. The site and the sanitary facilities were always clean in the summer and you still have some freedom there (free choice of pitch and barbecue fire). There is no midday rest and yet you are not disturbed by noise. You can swim well in the Moselle and there are plenty of hiking trails with excellent signposting. No stupid chatter from the groundsman or anything. The toilets are older but CLEAN! I don't know what the previous reviewers want to have seen there. There are pigs everywhere. The cleaning lady runs through the toilets and... showers for hours. You can hardly hear the youth groups at my permanent pitch. After all, we're not in a hospital or a cemetery! However, I also have to say that there are quite a few dogs on the site (I noticed a poodle in particular!) We were definitely on the "wild island" with our dog and there were a few dogs there, and that's what they're supposed to do! One more tip: you can eat very well and cheaply at the Moselklause in Hatzenport! Greetings also to Maria and Eduardo from the Klause :-)Automātiski tulkots.

A proper barbecue is just as possible here as the fire at some Whitsun camps and VW bus meetings..... The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, but sometimes you get the impression that it is not quite enough during... busy periods. Nevertheless, we recommend it, as the atmosphere on this site is just right. Ideal for water sports enthusiasts. Boats can be launched quite easily.Automātiski tulkots.
