If you want to go back to the wash house, a flashlight is a must. Bread rolls are only available from 9 am. There are only six showers for males and females together in the rear wash house. The water pressure is almost non-existent. Shower head splashes in all directions and despite the water temperature setting, it sometimes gets ice cold or very hot while showering. Gastronomy unfortunately not open. Kiosk is poorly stocked.Would have more potentialBasically a beautiful terraced site. Pitches are well-kept and large. It was also very quiet, but the site was only half full despite the long weekend.
The mobile homes, of which there are really many, are a bit too close together for our taste. For children, the lake is the only place to play and spend time.
The fact that prepayment is required is not a problem in itself, but the fact that a refund is not granted is outrageous. "Only in urgent cases" - whatever that means and how the... guest has to prove it. I only knew frustrated guests who left because of the bad weather. In my opinion, the weather is the risk of the operator and not the guests.
The WLAN cannot be used on the more remote pitches. Highly unfashionable in this day and age.
Despite Corona, I would have liked flexibility in gastronomy and for access to the lake!
The lack of a store is not a problem, EDEKA in the village 1.3 km away.
The pricing is pretty much geared towards flat rates. Juicy prices, although from 24.8. is generally off-season. Example: 1 person is charged a flat rate with 2 children, although none are included; dog 5€! An additional adult costs 10€! (End of 08.21: 2E+1 dog+1 car+caravan = 54€ low season)
Hardly any activities / leisure activities for families - or only accessible with a long drive. Worth seeing: Harburg with Märchenwerg. Trips to the fränk. Seeenplatte uninteresting, as there are campsites there. Zirndorf (90513) Playmobilpark and Carreraworld too far away (own site available)
If you want peace and quiet, this is the right place! and you can walk up and down the extensive forest, you can't say hiking. All paths are very well passable by bike, but poor signposting.
The lake is large, but has vegetation, even in the swimming area. A fitness trail with 19 stations is integrated into the forest.
The bread roll service is of poor quality (delivered from Nördlingen!). The supply from an EDEKA market in the village is far tastier.
I think it is very unlikely that I will visit again due to the pricing and the lack of attractive leisure activities.

Anneli T.septembris 2019PozitīviNear Nördlingen, quiet locationNegatīvaisNo individual washing cubicles, no comfort pitches for tourists, "lunch break" for the barrier despite the pitch being almost empty.Suitable for visiting Nördlingen and the Nördlinger RiesWe - a senior couple - had chosen this site near Nördlingen because it was diligently promised on its website: "...A new camping world - pure leisure experience... Comprises 330 large, comfortable pitches and motorhome pitches with attached modern supply facilities....Reception hours 9 am - 6 pm". Well,... catalog lyricism. In fact, it's a normal campsite with a "lunchtime" reception and correspondingly closed barriers. The campsite was almost empty - but there was still this "midday rest" with the barrier closed - a real German habit! The comfort was very limited: the parceled-out grass pitches had electricity, nothing else. However, there are supposed to be 3 "comfort pitches" for permanent campers. The sanitary facilities were ok. However, there are no individual washing cubicles, at least in the sanitary area of the main building (the other sanitary building was closed). Also some toilets did not have proper "glasses" (see photo). Internet access is available, but only near the reception. The outdoor pool was closed (ok, end of September!) and so was the restaurant, apparently for years. But there is a bread roll service. This is also rare: Prepayment. The "completely new way of camping" described on the site's website remained inexplicable to me. The first impression was great. As a camper, you can choose how and where you want to stand in the spacious areas. No cramped pitches. From every pitch you have a beautiful view of the lake and the forest behind it. Water points on site are a matter of course. The... sanitary facilities are very new (as of 2018), showers without a token for as long as you want, very clean toilets. Disinfectant for the toilet seats would be desirable. All sanitary facilities are spacious and are cleaned several times a day. The leisure facilities on the site are exceptional. The bathing lake, which can also be used free of charge by non-campers, is particularly popular with children and young people. It has almost everything you would find in an outdoor pool: Water slide, diving tower, paddling area for children, non-swimmer area, snack bar, kiosk, sandpit, play equipment. A putting area is available for golf beginners. An extra room is equipped for teenagers with games, table football and Playstation. We have probably forgotten something else. Compared to other courses, this is a model course as far as leisure activities are concerned. Unfortunately, the campsite restaurant doesn't seem to have a tenant, so we weren't able to try out the restaurant, which is actually beautifully decorated. But otherwise there are snacks, ice cream, sweets etc. in a small kiosk. Bread roll service is available. The campsite management and administration, including reception, are extremely friendly and ready to provide all kinds of information. Prepayment is obligatory, which has the advantage that you don't have to deal with payment formalities at the end when things get hectic. Unfortunately, the CCI card is not recognized here either - they don't even know it. According to the management, the campsite has a total of around 380 pitches, of which a maximum of 50% are occupied even in the high season. So it's always worth coming here, you're sure to get a pitch. All in all, a beautiful site with many advantages and very few disadvantages. We would like to emphasize that we are campers and not glampers. That's why we look at campsites with international eyes. We don't want to eat off the floor in the sanitary facilities and we don't need 5* restaurants with entertainment on site. We evaluate from these points of view. Spacious pitches and beautifully laid out terraces separated by hedges. Very clean sanitary facilities that are cleaned frequently. The highlight is the swimming lake next to the site. We had great sunny weather and had a lovely swim. The nearby... town has a lot of charm and offers everything you need. Cycling trips are a dream here.
