We have visited pretty much all the campsites in the Peloponnese and used some of them for weeks. We also looked at BEKAS in 2019. Well, the sanitary facilities are getting on in years (but it's even worse elsewhere) and the entire campsite is very shady, which is of course an advantage in the HS. Small... beach, beautiful view of the Methana peninsula. The access road to Epidaurus is a bit narrow and we always encountered lots of snakes on the road when we went for a walk in spring. The black, fat big ones are not as dangerous as the narrow, small green ones, so you should be careful! I wouldn't go to any of the campsites south of the town of Epidaurus with a large camper van or motorhome, leave beforehand!

shady campsite with a view of Methana
We were traveling with a tent and enjoyed the shady spot. The beach is narrow. The sanitary facilities are clean but dated and in my opinion should be renovated. A place we would like to come back to for a few days, but will then avoid the restaurant.

The campground has a kiesel beach. Good Tv reception and internet just at our place. Equipment is out-dated, but very clean; no toilet paper and sometimes insufficient hot water.

We were there with our caravan and boat. It didn't bother us that the campsite is a bit out of town, as we had the scooter with us, which took us to the city center in what felt like 2 minutes. If you are a bit more flexible in terms of arrival dates in the high season, you can achieve the almost impossible:... A pitch right by the sea in the 1st row...! Wonderful. Despite the permanent campers! Simply super nice, with shade and fresh water nearby, so you could almost fill up with water using a hose. It shouldn't bother you that the small pebble beach "on the doorstep" is of course also used by walkers and sun worshippers. After all, nature is there for everyone... :-) The site is well managed, which ensures order and great conditions. The sanitary buildings are good and clean. The restaurant is rather traditional, but good. Oh yes: we were able to anchor the boat outside the swimming limit, which is not only practical but also pleasant for swimmers. We felt very comfortable there and would love to come back... :-)
