The lake is fishable, at least for relaxation and amusement. The site was only half full. WW set up quickly and then off into the mountains. Simple, very flat pitch directly on the lake (we called the algae-covered lake the Blubbersee). Simple infrastructure. No possibility to go swimming nearby. The lake is not suitable for swimming. Since then, the access road to the square has had to make way for a new restaurant and café area. You have to guess rather than recognize the new access road. Structurally, it is in an extremely desolate state. - It is actually the site of the local rowing club. The sanitary... facilities are also shared with the club, which are old and used but kept clean. - In May we had a rainy period behind us and the grass pitches were all soggy and boggy. Not all of them were usable. - To do some shopping you have to go outside the site (it's not far!) and the new restaurant area next to it is accessible from the site. - This "base" is certainly suitable for making targeted excursions from here, e.g. to the Zagori mountains or to the Dodona archaeological site. - The water quality of the lake is "modest". The access road is a bit narrow, but the location directly on the lake is wonderful. The campsite is well guarded, the staff are friendly, speak some German and the pitches under the maple trees are... wonderful. The campsite is not very large and is flown over 5 times a day by Boeings at an altitude of 100 meters. Sanitary facilities could be improved, cleanliness too, but absolutely recommendable for one night! Otherwise quite quiet despite being close to the town, LIDL 1.5 km away.Automātiski tulkots.

Not easy to find. The site is located at the rear behind a large house that houses a rowing club or similar. The site has the appearance of a green parking lot by the water. The pitches are level and located directly on the lake. There is shade from the trees. The... sanitary facilities and a kitchen are located in the same building as the rowing club. As far as we know, the campers have these facilities to themselves. All in all, the sanitary facilities are fine. A thorough clean and a little more light would not be a bad thing. The toilet facilities are better maintained than the showers. Despite the busy road, it is quite quiet on the site. The location by the lake is beautiful. Nevertheless, this is not a place for a longer stay. The town is about 3-4km away. There are several stores and a supermarket on the road into town, which are within easy walking distance. You can also buy the essentials at the reception. The campsite is supposedly open until the end of October. We were there at the beginning of October and were the only guests. If you want to see something in the area (Vikos Gorge etc.), the campsite is recommended.Automātiski tulkots.

The site is well maintained, with clean grassy areas under trees. Probably not so suitable for a permanent vacation, but excellent as a base for excursions to the town (fortress, old town), Dodona (theater, oracle) and the Pindus Mountains (Vicos Gorge).Automātiski tulkots.

Ideal to stop in Epirus, visit the beautiful city of silvers, caves and wanting to continue to Metsovo and Meteors. Barbara & Rudi O.July 2011Very nice place - but more for short stays e.g. to visit the town of Ionannia or if you are passing through e.g. to Albania (like us) or to the ferry to Igoumenitsa, etc.. Very nice view of the lake and the mountains, very quiet, very clean, absolutely relaxing. No restaurant, no minimarket, but short distances to the town. No playground, but barbecue areas. The site is not parceled out. The showers are in a closed room and were hot and clean. The room for washing clothes and dishes with hot water was also very tidy. A washing machine is available. - FIps S.September 2010City camping - expensive and not particularly well looked after. Sanitary facilities were "ok". Noise was not a problem, but it was also low season. Free electricity. External free WLAN available near the toilet. Location actually very nice on the lake and not very far from the city, unfortunately the lake is very dirty. Conclusion: OK, but could be nicer.
