Gerd F.April 2024Pozitīvi+ incomparable view of the sea, rocks and neighboring villages + beautiful and very well-kept terraced pitches, either facing the sea or at the "back" with a beautiful view of the mountainsNegatīvais-Great location on rocksWe stayed at the campsite for 4 nights in April. During this time it was cloudless and sunny but still very windy. Nobody had pitched their awning on the sea side and it was simply too stormy to stay in front of the caravan. We had opted for a more sheltered spot on the mountain side. Here we could sit... relaxed and reasonably sheltered in the sun. There are also some larger trees here that provide shade, which is perhaps also helpful in summer. Above the sports facilities there are also some very nice terraced pitches reserved for tents. Here too, trees provide shade, especially in the morning.
Otherwise, the CdP is a beautiful and very well-kept campsite with lots of very friendly staff at reception. The sanitary facilities are modern and always clean. The restaurant must be a hit in summer because of its location alone. It really is the perfect place on the roof terrace for a sundowner. During our stay, the outdoor area was unfortunately closed due to the wind.Automātiski tulkots.

Unfortunately (and for this there is a deduction for the beach area) you could not legally use the advertised direct beach accesses (even if they were openly accessible), as... they were closed by the municipality as dangerous due to rockfall (there was a sign - but this was often disregarded). What bothered me was the 5-star rating and the rather high price accordingly.
We were on the side facing away from the sea. Here the sanitary building was unfortunately... quite outdated, tiles were missing, water temperature could not be adjusted, no toilet seats... (France standard 20 years ago 1-star), the pitches all have no water connection, the restaurant is mediocre (rather fast food). The pool was ok, but far from 5 stars. The location in the middle of the hilly, rugged landscape and on one side directly by the sea is simply fantastic. The entire complex is very well maintained, the staff are always on the go and very helpful. Small... pool area, sufficient for us as we prefer to swim in the various bays in the sea. The small bays, which can be reached directly from the campsite via fairly steep steps, are romantic for swimming, but not necessarily suitable for small children. Bathing shoes are absolutely essential. There is no evening entertainment on the campsite, no music, no animation... simply wonderful;-) Certainly only a campsite for those who are looking for just that. The sanitary facilities are very clean and some are very modern. The site is equipped with many "rental properties", actual campers with caravans are rather rare. Beautiful terraced pitches on the sea side, with incredible sunsets, but also stormy winds... Ideal for camper vans. The only real drawback for us was the playground. The two existing playgrounds are very decentralized and unimaginatively and lovelessly furnished. The campsite itself is very quiet, as there is no evening stage program, but the train and road can be heard. Extremely... relaxed, friendly staff, pool, store, restaurant, sports facilities (free racket hire etc.) and kids' club were additional plus points that we didn't necessarily need but enjoyed here. Laid out like terraces, with some very steep paths. Super view of the sea to the south, great view of the mountains to the north. Railroad line and busy road within earshot, but acceptable. Sometimes you can hear very loud music from Argeles late into... the night. The pitches are almost all very generously sized and in some cases it is possible to park your car separately next to the pitch. What bothered us a little is that cars are allowed to drive until 23:30. The store is OK, you can get everything you need for everyday use. The prices are of course a bit more expensive. The restaurant is very good for a campsite, but you should definitely make a reservation. If it's really full, there's nothing to take away. Sanitary facilities were clean and tidy and sufficient. The pool is OK, but not a highlight. Unfortunately, the coastal path to Collioure has been closed for years and is impassable. The small coastal path on the slope of the campsite itself was also not accessible. You can get to both Collioure and Racou with a bit of climbing. However, you can safely leave your bikes at home. What was really missing was a nice playground as a central meeting point for the children. The two existing playgrounds are very plain and boring, not to say loveless. The ground is very, very hard and it is sometimes impossible to get pegs in and outAutomātiski tulkots.

The steep steps to the sea are not without danger for children.Collioure around the cornerIt is only a few kilometers to Collioure, unfortunately the coastal path was not accessible due to considerable damage in 2017. Two small pebble bays (steps) invite you to swim and sunbathe. Many pitches have a view of the sea (if you don't have a neighbor with a giant motorhome in front of you...).... The sanitary facilities are first class and the service extremely friendly. We were driven around in an electric vehicle to choose our pitch and were able to choose from several pitches.Automātiski tulkots.- Rolf P. The infrastructure and the site are unfortunately not weatherproof. We had streams of mud pouring... over our pitch during heavy rain and also power and internet outages. Only one supply and disposal station for motorhomes is unlikely to be able to cope with large crowds and this is quite tricky to maneuver into with a low wall. Unfortunately there is a problem with thieves. We had 2 MTBs stolen despite having a thick lock and a night watchman, our neighbors had the same thing happen to them - by no means an isolated case, as we then found out. Both were very well equipped, beautifully laid out and very clean, had a nice pool area and a good restaurant. Perhaps a little more expensive but in our opinion good value in the literal sense. The terraces have practically 180° sea views. Be careful... when booking: we booked a premium pitch because we wanted a sea view, but this is not necessary, most pitches with a sea view are not premium pitches and therefore much cheaper. I think specifying sea view when booking should be enough. The bays are great and not overcrowded because access is only for campers. But soon in the shade due to the orientation. Very nice for snorkeling, white corals and lots of starfish, also saw octopus and scorpionfish. Restaurant very good, even the evenings with a band are exceptional for a CP. Nice bar on the restaurant roof, even if only with the typical French drinks, a Spitz would also be nice. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed in the pool with my short swimming trunks as they weren't made of the tight elastic swimming trunks material, simply ridiculous and annoying, especially in a place like this. Walk to Collioure about 30 minutes and to Le Racou about 20 minutes.Automātiski tulkots.

No sandy beaches, everything is rocky and stony, bathing shoes necessary if you want to swim in the sea.Great terraced campsite with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean SeaThis place is simply great, also the restaurant, on Fridays there were mussels galore! Recommended with a dry white wine! Of course you can put everything down if you want. Here you have to know what you want and act accordingly. So choose a pitch on the terraces with a view of the sea and don't let... yourself be transported into the forest by the railroad line. It is also clear that children are noisy in the pool, which is completely normal and ok! A small grocery store for fresh bread products or to occasionally pick up a little something you forgot is great. Who wants a Hyper-U here? Various sanitary blocks, some of which are getting on in years, but absolutely clean with all-day care, what more could you want? Absolutely friendly staff both at reception and on the pitch! The morning view of the sea alone is worth a visit to this campsite. However, it is also true that the prices are ambitious and not acceptable for me in the high season. Nevertheless, my wife and I, completely contrary to our habits, have chosen an option for October 2015 which we will certainly confirm by booking at the beginning of the year. Simply great location, nice and very friendly staff, very good and spacious washing and sanitary facilities. Only the toilets could be cleaned a little more thoroughly for a 5-star site (the sometimes quite penetrating urine smell is not necessary).... The site consists of 2 parts: one directly by the sea and one under trees facing the hinterland. Attention: The site is located directly on a railroad line, at least on the side facing the hinterland, every train can be heard, which is sometimes very disturbing. The restaurant is ok for occasional visits, with an acceptable price/performance ratio. We will definitely be back!Automātiski tulkots.

The pitches are not particularly large (it would have been cramped with an awning), but sufficient. The access road is ok, maneuvering is no problem for an experienced driver. On the other... side of the site you have a view of the surrounding vineyards and mountains, it is a little noisier there because of the railroad line, but still within reason. The bathing bays have a pebble beach and are rather small, but there are numerous larger beaches nearby. Both Collioure and Argeles are easily accessible on foot, and the coastal path is particularly beautiful. The sanitary building was in good condition and always clean. In short: for me, after several stays in Roussillon, this was the best campsite so far. And a 5-star campsite cannot be compared with a 5-star hotel.Automātiski tulkots.

W.August 2014Directly on the railroad line, unfriendly staff, false promisesThe site is divided into two parts, terraced at the front with a view of the sea and at the back without a view, but directly on the railroad line, so noisy. Even in the bad area, a pitch costs €75 a night without electricity in the off-season. The staff are unfriendly and arrogant. We came on a Friday,... were only supposed to stay in the bad area for one night and move the next day. We were firmly promised this. When a lot of places became available the next day, the staff first waited and wanted to get their bearings. Then they played dumb and accepted new guests. It seems that many people stay for a few days once they have set up. The sanitary facilities are old and partly defective. The temperature in the showers cannot be regulated. The location of the campsite is very good but the photo on the internet must be old. Of the five beaches, only the largest remains. However, there are other access points to the sea. However, it is difficult to get into the water there. The supermarket is poorly stocked, the vegetables are not fresh and the staff here are also unfriendly. The sports facilities are good. The swimming pool is small but very nice and there is plenty of shade. We cannot recommend the campsite. Price and performance are not right.Automātiski tulkots.
