"those who love adventurous roads and access roads will be rewarded... - We were looking for a quiet place away from the highways and cities on our way to France and found it. Yes, ok, the last 12 km were a bit of a challenge, but what we found was worth it. A very well-equipped campsite with lots of nature and peace and quiet. We were delighted when we met a Dutchman who spoke our language and was very easy to deal with. He also runs a restaurant on the site with good food and a small bar. So if you really want to get out and about, we recommend this campsite. ...we were told that there are still wolves and bears in the woods, well we didn't hear or see anything except lots of greenery...

"Oasis of peace - A very nice campsite in the middle of a small valley. The operators are very friendly. The sanitary facilities were always clean.

"Wilderness Camping - We received a friendly welcome. Large pitches. Restaurant, large pool, volleyball court and children's playground available. It cools down pleasantly in the evening. Despite the summer temperatures. The campsite is in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive at least 20 km to go shopping. Within a radius of 100 km there is a beautiful safari park, Savona, Genoa with its aquarium attractions (expensive 128 euros for four 2 adults and two children) but super great. In short: you have to drive a lot to see the countryside. If you want peace and relaxation in a kind of wilderness (not negative!) this is the place for you. Dutch influenced. I think we were almost the only Germans. Interesting area.

"Stopover on the way home, great and recommended - Very nice and quiet campsite, a bit out of the way but easy to find. We made a stopover there on our trip home and it was a hit. Large pitches, lots of space, clean sanitary facilities (in many hotels is not so clean) nice service and operators. Swimming pool for small children and separate for swimmers. Bread roll service, small weinschop and wine tasting every Thursday. This campsite is 100% recommended.

"Beautifully situated! - If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you! In the middle of the countryside, roughly on the border between Liguria and Piedmont, nestled between hills and wildflower meadows, lies this really great place. You can see in every detail that the Wietschge couple are both trained catering professionals and passionate campers who run this site. Large pitches with just the right amount of light and shade, a wonderful pool area, beautifully designed playgrounds, the proximity to nature, an excellent restaurant and always at least one competent advisor in reception or the restaurant on site and the surrounding area. (Cycling in the "Ideal for..." section above refers to mountain biking)

Profils

Tenuta Squaneto offers you spacious pitches of at least 100 m2 with 10 - 16 amp electricity connection, optionally also your own water tap. As our campsite is relatively new, most of the pitches are in fields with young plants. …Some pitches are on the edge of the forest and therefore have more shade. It is good to know that it can be sunny and warm during the day, but it often cools down well at the end of the day. Generally, there is always a light breeze that never makes it annoyingly hot. In our trattoria we invite you to get to know the regional cuisine "Mare e Monti" (Sea and Mountains). When you enter, you will find the bar on the right and at the first tables you can enjoy a delicious espresso or cappuccino. But of course also a good glass of wine, an aperitif or digestif. When you move on, you will find tastefully set tables in our restaurant. Our chef Silvio will be happy to prepare a delicious dish of the day, inspired by the seasonal offerings, as well as delicious pizzas from our wood-fired oven. The swimming pool is one of the highlights on our site. It is divided into two pools that are connected to each other. The large pool measures 7 x 25 m and has a depth of 1.10 - 1.40 m. The water in the children's pool falls slowly. The water in the children's pool drops slowly to a depth of 40 cm. Here the little ones have lots of fun with the water-splashing turtles, the frog carousel and the small slide. Around the pool you will find plenty of space to rest or enjoy the sun. For a drink or an ice cream, the bar is within reach. Adjacent to the bar you will find our small shop, where we offer an assortment of groceries and other items. And if you would like fresh bread rolls for breakfast, you can order them here the day before. The sanitary blocks have a sunny, fresh interior and have separate showers, toilets and wash cubicles. Families with small children can use the baby room with baby bath and changing pad. For people with disabilities, we have a separate bathroom with toilet, shower and bathing facilities. Apart from the dishwashing places and the disposal station of your chemical toilet, there is also a small launderette for washing and drying your laundry.
