There are 4 shower/toilet containers at the back, access via pallets with grass carpeting, wobbly. They were only opened when the site was busy. Before that, it went past the reception on the right into an "old school" sanitary area,... 3 toilets, toilet paper was not replenished regularly, 2 washbasins for washing hands, soap only while stocks last. then still in the washing area, 2 showers, 2 washbasins. The door to the anteroom could not be closed, the closer was defective. Old is not bad, but it should be clean. And the prices on site were more expensive than we had read on the internet. The idea was to go to Friedrichstadt for a short visit to see everything and maybe stay a little longer. We looked online for a campsite, grabbed our things and our 3 dogs and off we went. We phoned to see if there was anything available,... no problem. We received a very friendly welcome and after a short check-in and briefing, we went straight onto the pitch. The barrier scans the license plate of the van and opens, no card or code necessary. Found a nice free space straight away. The tip was to go near the dyke steps to quickly disappear there with the dogs. After pitching the tent and setting up, we headed straight for the old town. A 5-minute walk away. Really worth seeing! Canals, canals, pedal boats, live music in a rubber dinghy and much more. The cleanliness of the pedestrian zone and all the squares was also very noticeable. We also found places to eat straight away. So we took the dogs back to the car and went back to the old town to eat. Afterwards, we ended the evening in peace and quiet in the tent. We had a leisurely breakfast in the morning and dismantled the tent again, leaving by 12 noon was very pleasant and there was no time pressure. The scanner opened the barrier and we headed home again. Conclusion: we will definitely be back again this year. Many thanks for the wonderful time. Jens and MaikeAutomātiski tulkots.
- Marco P.May 2021PozitīviLocationNegatīvaisUnfriendliness Toilets closed Noise from groundsmanModel region North FrieslandThe camping season can finally begin in SH and so we have chosen the model region NF with the Treene Camp in Friedrichstadt as our first destination.
There was no sign of friendliness on arrival. The good lady didn't seem to have had her best day and was probably a bit annoyed by all the formalities... of the model region.
We arrived with a negative corona test that was about 24 hours old. We had read that you have to arrive with a corona test that is a maximum of 48 hours old and that you have to present a new test no later than 48 hours after arrival. However, the lady at the registration desk did not want to discuss this and demanded that we present a new test the very next day.
The green and well-kept meadow is positive, even if it is a bit soft, so that some people got stuck with heavy motorhomes. Another positive point is the location, as you can reach the old town of Friedrichstadt very quickly.
Negative points were the registration process described above and the unfriendliness. It was also very annoying that the groundsman spent the whole Friday afternoon mowing the lawn with his lawnmower tractor and driving around between cars, caravans and motorhomes. On Saturday afternoon, he mowed a little further and reached the climax when he activated the petrol leaf blower at around 5:30 p.m. to clear the paths of old leaves. Unfortunately, the groundsman doesn't seem to have realized that campers are looking for some peace and quiet on the campsite at the weekend. One of the negative points is that the sanitary buildings were completely closed, including the toilets! Of course, the full price was still charged.
Unfortunately, it seems to be just cashing in and no longer investing in the site. Since October 2020, for example, there has been a burnt-out mobile home on the site. Wrong price on the homepage. According to the homepage we would have paid EUR 20. But in reality it was EUR 35. As we arrived before 2pm we had to pay a surcharge of EUR 10. We were not told this on the phone. Also, there is no price list outside the reception. No store or bread service on site, you can buy them as baked goods at the gas station. The sanitary building is very old, broken, dark and unclean - it is certainly not cleaned daily. As I said... Could!!! This wonderful location to Friedrichstadt and the canals is unfortunately contrasted by a dilapidated sanitary area. The location on the outskirts of Friedrichstadt is the site's main asset. The groundsman is eager to accommodate anyone who needs a pitch, very friendly and helpful. The scullery is also not very... inviting, water is very sparse and only lukewarm. The caravan costs a hefty €65 per night. It is at the end of the site. About 300 meters away from the main sanitary building. Toilet use in the Wowa itself costs 15 €extra, but this did not work at all. The caravan was... old, shabby and there must be mold in it. In any case, it smelled of mold and as an allergy sufferer I developed severe allergic symptoms. The upholstery on the beds and bunks was grayish, worn and unkempt. The rented cabins were makeshift. The groundskeeper was a pearl and tried to make up for everything and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Nevertheless, the owner was not prepared to give up even a cent of the price for the caravan. She was not friendly when we complained. So not recommended. The jetty for paddlers was not good despite all the efforts of the groundsman, there were old nails hanging out of the edge. Too bad, because the location of the place with direct water access to Eider and Treene is actually great.Automātiski tulkots.

The cottage we had booked was shabby, dirty and old from the very first glance. We got a vacuum cleaner and vacuumed it thoroughly. Only then did we realize how bad it really was! Spiders had cobwebs that looked like a kukon. Apparently it hadn't been... cleaned for a long time! There was also spider web residue in the coffee machine and kettle. Behind the kitchenette, however, it was even worse! Hundreds of earwigs came out from behind the kitchen unit. We stood there for about 30 minutes and got rid of as many as we could with the fly swatter. The owner had little interest in our complaint. She gave us her vacation home for one night. This was also dirty but at least without earwigs. We left after the night and got our money back. An absolute horror vacation! Not recommended to anyone!Automātiski tulkots.

After booking online, we only received a confirmation via autoresponder. After several phone calls and emails, we finally received a detailed booking confirmation. The site itself (which shares a driveway with a petrol station) is divided into two areas.... We took a pitch in the front area, which was also quite busy. The sanitary building located here was generally clean, but you could tell that it had not been renovated for a long time. Many places in the tiles/grouting have been patched with silicone and everything looks very old-fashioned. There are two urinals and toilets in the men's area as well as two shower cubicles and two washbasins. There was never a big rush there, use was possible at any time. The site itself appears tidy at first glance, but there were some shortcomings in the details. The corridor to the sanitary building leads through an arch of roses that definitely needs radical pruning. You can't get through it without bending down. In general, trees and shrubs are left to grow on their own. The night-time lighting on the path to the sanitary building could also be improved. It gets adventurous without a flashlight. In the immediate vicinity of our pitch were three vacation huts whose (changing) occupants unfortunately had poor manners. The background noise was accordingly... ala Opfer, Alder and Schwör. There is a children's play structure in questionable condition behind a hedge on the site, and wet grass cuttings are stored right next to it. About five meters away is a large, unprotected garbage container, which was overflowing during the first two days of our stay. Apparently nothing is sorted here. The site was 90% occupied by Danish guests. Communication was limited to hello and hello. The town of Friedrichstadt is just a few minutes' walk away. A real sight when the weather is nice. By car you can reach various shopping facilities (Aldi, Lidl, Sky) in two minutes, which share a small shopping area with good parking facilities just outside Friedrichstadt. The place may be OK for one or two nights, but we will probably choose another place in the future if we travel to this area again.Automātiski tulkots.
