The adjacent road was ok and hardly noticeable, especially in the evening and at night.

1A we were thrilled. Camping is fun here. Plus a great location, with a view of Brocken and Wurmberg. We would love to come back.

Kept clean, with bread roll service. Beautiful tent areas, CP on gravel ground. Cooking and dining area for campers with tents. Friendly operators. Bus at the CP and train station with the steam locomotive to the Brocken can be reached in about 15 minutes. Perfect location to explore the area. For the kids there are still small animals to marvel at.

You can hear the cars during rush hour. A long stay with a caravan is not so nice as there are few separate pitches.
View of the national park
With a view of the national park, the Womo stands very well.
Sanitary facilities are very well maintained. Would choose this site again.

Ideal for hikers and cyclists/mountain bikers to explore the Oberharz (Brocken).

Not particularly welcoming, as you walk past you are pointed out by the operator for alleged misconduct. Located very loudly on the street, hardly suitable for tent vacationers.

The Harz Mountain Camp is centrally located on many hiking trails. I can hike in all directions on well-signposted paths in the Harz within a short distance. The site offers everything I need for a weekend. A small store at the reception helps me even if I forget something. A bread roll service in the morning and cake in the afternoon round off the whole thing.

Great short weekend in the Harz Mountains
The site is not particularly large, but it is perfectly located for a short trip.
A constant fluctuation of travelers in motorhomes, caravans, cars and motorcycles is always exciting to see.
The sanitary facilities are functional. Showers, toilets and washbasins are located in one room for both men and... women.
Particularly noteworthy is a small kitchen with sinks that can also be used as a lounge.
The owners are always present and always have a friendly word.
The price-performance ratio for this
campsite. I personally think it's nice that I have everything covered for the price and don't have any extra costs.
