Slightly overgrown place as part of a vacation center
The site is laid out around a wooded hill and is part of a vacation center with a hotel and campsite. The campsite and the pitches, which are laid out in a traffic circle around the hill, make a partly overgrown impression (compared to the otherwise very well-kept Irish pitches). For example, you have... to look for the electric hook-up in the bushes on the pitches in the forest. Due to the location in the dense forest, these pitches appear rather dark and uninviting (this applies to about half of the approx. 15 pitches). The sanitary facilities are clean and average for Ireland. WIFI is available but not usable. There is a supply and disposal station on the site. Breakfast is available in the adjoining hotel, but dinner is not always possible. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The access road is 'only' signposted to the vacation village, there was no indication of the campsite on any of the signposts.
