"der Weg war umsonst!!! - Nach zwei Tagen tollen Tagen auf dem Familiy Campingplatz Ortobello fuhren wir über die SS223 vorbei an Siena zum Campingplatz Luxor. Von Süden kommend fährt man die letzten Kilometer zum CP Luxor ab der Fattoria Lornano auf einer Strada Bianca! Diese Anfahrt zum CP Luxor war so eng, dass es vorkommen kann, dass man zurücksetzen muss. Auch wir mussten mit unserem WOMO zurücksetzen, wenn ein Tiguanfahrer nicht zurückfahren wollte. Dieser Weg kann nicht empfohlen werden, besser ist die Strada Bianca ab der Abzweigung Strada della Badesse, wobei man hier die Schnellstraße Florzen/Siena unterqueren muss. Leider habe ich keine Durchfahrtsmasse bei der Durchfahrt entdeckt. Vernünftige Ausweichmöglichkeiten sind weder auf der einen noch auf der anderen Seite des Tunnels vorhanden, kein Problem wenn man wie wir bei der Durchfahrt Glück hat und keinen Gegenverkehr hat. Der Platz befindet sich auf einer Anhöhe mitten in einem Steineichenwald und hat nur wenige Stellplätze für Wohnmobile. Der Platz ist am Besten für Zelte oder Campervans geeignet. Ein Restaurant ist zwar vorhanden, war jedoch bei unserer Zwischenübernachtung nicht geöffnet. Andere Versorgungsmöglichkeiten gibt es auf dem Platz auch nicht! Das teilweise renovierte Sanitärgebäude ist das „Highlight“ dieses Platzes, jedoch müssen die Duschen noch dringend renoviert werden. Beim Schwimmbad fanden auch Renovierungsarbeiten statt. Monteriggioni, der ehemalige Vorposten Sienas, ist nicht weit weg, man hat herrliche Sicht auf die alte Festung. Leider gibt es außer der Fahrstraße keinen anderen Weg dorthin bzw. wir haben ihn nicht gefunden. Wir werden den CP nicht noch einmal anfahren.

"UN POSTO DA FAVOLA - Un posto da favola... Una volta arrivata in struttura sono stata accolta in maniera impeccabile. Piazzole spaziose e ombreggiate. Ti ritrovi immerso nella natura. Tutto il personale della struttura è giovane, disponibile e professionale. Piscina pulita e bellissima. A cena abbiamo potuto gustare degli ottimi piatti della tradizione, ma anche un pranzo veloce e leggero. La posizione è molto strategica. CONSIGLIO A A TUTTI!! Un saluto ai ragazzi dello Staff e ci vediamo presto

Our Village is situated in a very strategic position: near the main cities of Florence and …Siena, close to the precious historic villages of San Gimignano and Volterra and within 1 hour from the seaside coast. Our camping is an amazing place for nature lovers, families, kids and pets and for camping holidays, an oasis of kindness on the hill of Trasqua, confined among oak trees that characterize the area. To the altitude of 300 msls, the camping extends on 10.000 mqs of a luxuriant brushwood, typical of the amazing Tuscany.
