Small campsite near Dubrovnik
The "Minicamp Polje" is - as the name suggests - a small grass pitch about the size of a soccer pitch at the harbor of Mali Zaton, surrounded by stone walls. At the far end of the campsite there are olive trees that provide some shade. The sanitary building is not located directly on the campsite, but... in a house at the harbor, about 50 m to the right of the campsite entrance. Here you can go to the toilet, shower and wash dishes. The facilities are old but clean. The "reception" is a small wooden hut next to the campsite entrance that is not always manned. If it is not manned, simply drive onto the campsite, look for a nice pitch and deal with the formalities when the campsite manager is (back). Various activities (boat trips etc.) can also be organized here (although I didn't make use of these and therefore don't know how much they cost). The nearest small supermarket is about 200 m away on foot. There are several restaurants at the harbor next to the campsite. I paid €15 for 1 night with 1 person, motorcycle + tent.

neglected and dirty
As there was no one at reception, we went to see the place on our own. Garbage everywhere. The worst thing, however, was the wash house. It felt like it hadn't been renovated for 30 years and was covered in dirt. It took us 20 seconds to decide to move on.

Over-rated campsite
Over-rated campsite without facilities though there is a shower and toilets for men and women separately. This is called clean but the odeur is a smelly one. For one night early September we had to pay €23 with our campervan. Very expensive.

High price, no performance
The reception consists of a wooden hut that is hardly ever occupied. The main road passes directly above the campsite. When you finally fall asleep, the bell of a small chapel wakes you up at 6am. The sanitary facilities are completely filthy. The only advantage is the bus stop just above the campsite and the supermarket on the road. There is no possibility to buy anything at the campsite.

For us, the campsite was the starting point for our trip to Dubrovnik, and the breathtaking coastal scenery made the 50-minute drive pass quickly. Access to the campsite is also easy with longer caravans (ours is just under 6 m), even if it looks very steep at first when you're standing above the bay.... In mid-May there were only half a dozen campers on the site, at least there was bread in the small store in the morning, the restaurant was not yet open. The sanitary facilities were very basic, but mostly acceptably clean. The location in the bay is advantageously sheltered in case of storms, but otherwise very remote. Unfortunately, we didn't get to paddle due to the stormy weather.
