Unfortunately, the staff at reception are very unfriendly. They like to heap reproaches on you a lot.
The sanitary facilities are tidy, but not always clean. One of the buildings is in need of renovation.
Recommended for a short stay. If you don't want to eat on the pitch, you can go to the nearby town, also by bike. Delicious ice cream parlor there. Pitches for small tents are a bit close to the action. Nice operators.Automātiski tulkots.- Tim V.August 2021PozitīviQuiet location near a lakeNegatīvais-Lots of mosquitoes, probably due to the proximity of the lake. -There is a religious cult on the campsite that actively tries to gather children for daily activities. Management seems to support this. - Payment by card was difficult. Their terminal did not work with any of our cards even though we could use them without any problems elsewhere. We had to disconnect the caravan and drive to a ATM to collect cash. Transfer was not accepted. As it was their problem, I would have expected a bit more flexibility.Large campsite in nice surroundingsAll in all an ok campsite for transit or for a few days. The lake is nice, but the mosquitoes make it very unpleasant in the evening. Sanitary facilities were clean and tidy.

I was surprised that the site was not fully booked on a weekend in June.
However, after 2 days I had the answer to my question. The operators set nonsensical rules that must/should be strictly followed, such as the ban on... ISUPs on a bathing lake.
I had the impression that the staff were always looking for conflicts with guests, under the motto "You have not complied with rule XY". The word "tolerance" is rather a foreign word here.
Basically, I would strongly recommend the operator to train the staff in conflict management. We had a dog with us, which was allowed on the pitch, but was otherwise unwelcome. You are not allowed to take the dog anywhere except out of the site for a walk. You're not even allowed to walk around the lake... or the site. It's ok that the dog isn't allowed on the beach, but it must be possible to go for a run. It would be better to simply make the site dog-free instead of restricting campers in this way.
The car has to be parked outside. We had it parked on the pitch and were asked to drive out. Others were parked overnight, so it didn't seem to matter. The pitches are the smallest we've ever been on, but the car still had space in front of the tent. Anyway, we drove out. Incidentally, cars were constantly driving across the site to unload, park and later drive out etc. So the site is certainly car-free. So the site is certainly not car-free :-)
We've been to a few campsites in Corona times, but we've never experienced anything like this. Completely ignorant campers, especially the permanent campers, who certainly make up 70% of the occupancy. Masks in the wash houses? Not a thing! Control by the operator? Not a thing!
Nobody ever wore a mask. Neither when washing up, in the toilets or in the showers.
When we asked someone from the campsite why they didn't care, all they said was: what are we supposed to do?
Certainly not to let the many permanent campers dance around your nose like that!
There are so many possibilities, we've experienced it ourselves at other campsites, but a shrug of the shoulders is really crass.
At reception, however, we wore masks well.
Another positive aspect was the late check-out option.
Conclusion: there are so many campsites, even in the immediate vicinity, that we would gladly visit again. But certainly not this place.Automātiski tulkots.Atbildēja no Rastatter Freizeitparadies April 7, 2021Dear Mrs. F.
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the handling of the dog.
As we know from the national association, there are only 20% of campsites in Germany that still accept dogs, including us, but with "restrictions".
There are numerous references/information regarding our "restrictions... regarding dogs and car parking spaces" on e.g. price list, reservation forms, homepage, general terms and conditions, notices on site and we even expressly point this out again when you register.
Our pitches are either 75m² (gravelled winter pitches) or 90m² (grass pitches) in size. You are certainly right that the car would still have room on the pitch, but this is not permitted as a car-free facility. Loading and unloading is of course permitted, as you have correctly described.
We fully agree with you regarding the obligation to wear masks! The numerous signs and notices in the entrance area of the sanitary facilities and in the access area of the campsite are repeatedly ignored by a wide variety of people, but this applies not only to our facility but also to everyday life.

A lot, so I looked at the bill after setting up the tent: Without being asked, €3.50 was charged for electricity.
As I don't need electricity, I asked politely. The lady became sharper in tone each time and then actually offered me... the following solution: I would get my money back and should vacate the pitch!
Of course I stayed (after driving 100 km and putting up my tent) and pointed out my rating. Her comment: "That's just below the belt!"

The site consists mainly of permanent campers and the few free pitches are usually occupied by "white goods".
Shopping approx. 1km away, small corner store with the essentials. Restaurant on site, not tested. Sanitary tidy, nothing more and far to walk...

For us as leaders, this leisure week was the biggest ordeal....For our kids, who were also looking forward to this week, this week was also a complete failure....!!! The CP management should have said that youth groups were not welcome when they were asked! But apparently it's all about the commercial aspect....The most expensive bourgeois campsite we've had in 30 years!!! Too bad!!! The entire site and the sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained even when the site is full (as it was at Whitsun).... The garbage times take some getting used to but are necessary, as unfortunately there are always people who think "on vacation I don't have to separate any garbage". In a vacation bungalow last year in Italy, we also separated the garbage as we do at home.Automātiski tulkots.

Beautiful location by the quarry pond, Rastatt easy to reach by bike. Overnight pitches behind the barrier, close to the service building. This looks very gloomy "thanks" to the wood paneling, but inside it is clean and bright. I can't explain why the... shower has a wall that prevents you from getting wet from above when showering - really very impractical. We also had to take our garbage with us as the garbage cans are only accessible for 1 hour a day and only at lunchtime. Very impractical for travelers like us.Automātiski tulkots.

The reception was very friendly and the pitch for the night was unrivaled at 6 euros. I've paid almost double that at worse campsites. The water in the quarry pond is crystal clear and there are sunbathing lawns all around. The food in the restaurant... in the evening was excellent. In my opinion, there are too few toilets and showers on the site. These are sufficient for the low season, but certainly not in the high season. I can't imagine whether I would want to spend my vacation here in high season.Automātiski tulkots.
