We had to postpone our appointment beforehand because my partner fell ill. This worked out immediately and at no cost.
The site is small but in a very nice location. The sanitary container with toilet, two showers and washing machine... and dryer is clean at all times of the day. The staff are very friendly.
It is ideal for all kinds of activities. Remote but still central. All major cities (Erfurt with the Wartburg, Gotha with the castle, Schmalkalden with the best Thuringian Rostbratwurst and much more, Trusetal with the waterfall, Brotterode with the Inselschanzen and, and, and.

On Saturdays, when the weather is nice, the restaurant barbecues and then serves a buffet. Different types of meat, vegetables and mushrooms. A great combination. Plus the delicious breakfast buffet with chocolate cream pancakes. Could be more.Beautiful and quietThe campsite is divided into a large, flat area behind the hotel and a smaller, lower, slightly sloping area, both with great views. The ground was rather uneven.
On Saturday evenings there is a barbecue in the beer garden. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is excellent and affordable. Registration and finding a pitch were very straightforward. We were the only ones on arrival, but then we also had 1 neighbor. Electricity and water are close by. There is 1 camper shower in the guest house, which is enough if there are only a... few campers, but not enough if there are more. The shower was also used by the guest house residents... As you are allowed to use the hotel toilets, the toilets are adequate. What is missing are sinks for washing up. A simple summer sink would suffice. Otherwise, a very nice place with a great view and a good starting point for cycling and hiking. It is also good that there is a restaurant right next to it or another one a few meters away.Automātiski tulkots.

Everything was explained on the phone. Someone was still on site. Breakfast is possible in the hotel next door. Free choice of pitch, but we were the only campers at the time. The sanitary... facilities can be used in the hotel or guest house. Everything you need is there. Leisure tips from the operator included. Leisure activities such as hiking, fishing, cycling and all kinds of outdoor sports (volleyball, table tennis, soccer etc.) are possible. In the evening, you can end the day around the campfire with a view of the sunset. The Rhön is particularly inspiring with... its stunning nature! A tour through the forests is an absolute MUST!
