Beautiful location - simple place
The campsite has a great location on the beautiful Schaalsee. The nature and the water are unique. The site has beautiful bathing spots and moorings.

The sanitary facilities are a little too few for the large site and quite basic. They are also under-maintained.

There is no catering, store or kiosk... on site. The nearest shop is approx. 5 km away. Bread rolls are available at the local hotel 1.5 km away.

Unfortunately it is very noisy on the pitch. It's a shame that so many people can't tolerate the peace and quiet in such a beautiful natural setting. The campsite does not make any specifications in this regard. We needed hearing protection to sleep before midnight.

Pure nature
If you are looking for simplicity and relaxation, this is the right place for you. Except for the sanitary facilities (showers too narrow and the room old and too small) we felt very comfortable here.

Quiet location directly on the lake in the middle of nature

Beautiful base camp for hiking - directly on the Schaalsee
Ideal as a base camp for hiking - nice quiet location. Really quiet and there is next to nothing nearby. Two (expensive) restaurants nearby. But as campers we are self-catering. The nearest shopping facilities are in Zarrentin. From the site itself there is only a bread roll pick-up and delivery service.... But it works. But right on the lake with good bathing opportunities and you can end the evening on the jetty. The sunrise is really spectacular. Really only something for people who want absolute peace and quiet and like to be in the middle of nature.

Quiet, first-class location, directly on the lake

No shopping facilities on the square.
Relaxation in nature
Simple pitches in beautiful surroundings right by the lake. The pitches vary in size and are mostly separated by hedges. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean (some sanitary containers). The groundsman is friendly and registration is quick and uncomplicated. Unfortunately there are no shopping... facilities on the campsite so you have to rely on the bakery van that comes 2-3 times a week or you have to drive to the next town to go shopping. During the vacation season, the groundsman delivered bread rolls to our awning from Monday to Friday. On Saturday mornings the baker's van came so that you could get bread rolls there. The lake is very clean and ideal for swimming, fishing and boating. Even those who like hiking and walking will not be disappointed here. You can hire canoes from the groundsman to navigate the lake and you can also get fishing licenses from him. We loved it here and will definitely be back.

the location is great, you can go canoeing and hiking. the tipis are ok. no food or kiosk. the sanitary facilities should be avoided, they are very dirty and no paper.

Simple, but beautifully situated campsite. We have never experienced a less bureaucratic check-in and check-out anywhere else. Everything was clean and tidy. We were just passing through, but would be happy to come back.

Very nice contact with Mr. Scheel, very nice location, sanitary facilities were clean. We had a great time there and have fond memories of it. Maybe we'll come back to the area again.
