"Great time spent there - At the beginning, the booking went smoothly, with prompt feedback 👍 When we registered on site, we met nice, attentive staff. Our allocated pitch was ideal for us and our caravan without a mover. Rarely found such clean sanitary facilities. It also felt like they were cleaned every hour. If we had any questions or wanted to book a bike, everything was made possible. In our case, it was about a defective e-bike. Even late at night, we were assured of an e-bike for the next day. So we were still able to ride our planned tour. Bread rolls were affordable, but there's room for improvement in terms of taste😉 What's great about this campsite is the direct access to Lake Ossiach. With a small sunbathing lawn, small sandy beach and access for SUPs. Cooling off after tours...wonderful. We also didn't miss any shopping opportunities on site. They are usually overpriced anyway. Cakes, eggs, milk, yoghurt and ice cream were available to buy on site. We felt very comfortable there. If we were to spend another vacation at Lake Ossiach, we would book this campsite again.

"Very nice CP directly on Lake Ossiach - We (2 adults and 2 children) were on the campsite for 3 weeks and were very satisfied.the campsite is laid out in terraces and is located directly on the southern shore of Lake Oss.it is laid out like a park and is of a manageable size. There are some larger (family) pitches in the upper area near the road and the playground and 3 larger TOP pitches in the lower area on the beach or near the beach. in general, some of the pitches in the lower area have a great view of Lake Oss. Otherwise, some of the pitches are quite small and the paths on the site are quite narrow. For larger caravans it is sometimes quite difficult to get to the pitch. The site is very, very well maintained and clean! In the upper area there is a central building with sanitary facilities, sinks and washing machines. It should be emphasized that the sanitary facilities were always clean. The reception is logically located in the upper entrance area with a small café (fresh bread rolls to order in the morning), but otherwise there is no store or snack bar/restaurant directly on the site; here you have to go to the neighboring Berghof site (approx. 200 m away); there is a Spar supermarket, a restaurant and take-away (frozen) pizza and Wiener Schnitzel.there are two beach areas: 1x for boats, SUP etc. and 1x the normal area for swimming. Very good: no public beach but only from the CP! The water is great for swimming and was about 27°C in our time! Across the road from the campsite there are sports facilities such as beach volleyball. However, in our opinion, the area is rather neglected, but there was daily children's entertainment, the quiet on the CP (at night from 22h as well as during the day) and the friendliness and helpfulness of the Lauritsch family and staff is positive, here the guest is really still HEARTY WELCOME!!! We can absolutely recommend the CP! We will definitely be back!

"Had a wonderful stay at camping Mentl - Had a wonderful week at camping Mentl. From the campsite there are many activities to plan and easily accessible. The campsite is wonderfully situated on the large lake with a perfect water temperature. We had a wonderful time swimming. The sanitary facilities at the campsite are clean and the showers are wonderful! The bread service is perfect. Maybe in the future the campground could set up a simple restaurant for a simple snack. Now there is nothing take away or available. For the rest, no comments. Very nice camping.

"Wonderful vacation week - The sanitary building was spotlessly clean at all times, the reception, coffee and grounds team were friendly and very helpful. The campsite is easy to navigate and the beach is very nice. We felt very comfortable.

Profils

"Welcome to Strandcamping Mentl. Surrounded by the mountain Gerlitzen and ""The Ossiacher Tauern"" (a mountain range) the idyllic lake Ossiacher See is located in the centre of Carinthia. Clear water, warm water-temperature (28°C), clean air and southern climate will please …campers and nature-lovers. The well looked after camp site provides parking spaces parcelled out for campers with electricity, partly a direct water supply point and sewer. There is also a modern, heated sanitation facility with a nursing room for babies, single washing-cubicles; adapted for handicapped people; washing-machines, tumble dryer, ironing facility. For children we provide two playgrounds, a water-slide and entertainment. For our sporty guests, hiking- and cycling-tours (many cycleways), morning exercises and various ball games are offered. Fishermen will love Ossiacher See. In our own fish stock you can catch pikes, carps, pike-perches, catfish, eels and more. In July and August weekly barbecue parties with live-music take place in the evening. Café-restaurant Tamara offers national and international cuisine. The camp site itself provides a buffet. Various sights, destinations and hikes are nearby because of the central location of the camping ground. With the ""Kärnten-Card"" you can visit these destinations and use the shipping and mountain railway and pay a reasonable flat rate. If you want to know more about us, we are available to you.
