- Zelter X.August 2013On this stretch of coast on the alternative route to "The Road to the Isles", the campsites are packed together like sardines. Like all the others, The Croft is located directly by the sea between two fine sandy bays. The campsite is basically a small rectangular meadow, divided into an area for caravans... and motorhomes and an area for tents. There are a few static caravans. Cows graze around the campsite and the Jacobite steam train passes by from time to time. You can enjoy a view over the Isle of Eigg, Rum and Skye. It is extremely quiet. The pitches look rather natural and the barbed wire fencing is not necessarily idyllic. The sanitary building is extremely small and very, very simply equipped. There are two toilets and a small washbasin. Nothing more! No showers. Therefore, the site is less suitable for campers and not for longer stays! With a tent, car and two people, 16 pounds per night is still too expensive! There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding villages; grocery stores in Mallaig or Fort William.Automātiski tulkots.
