- Elsbeth T.September 2024PozitīviThe sanitary facilitiesNegatīvaisEverything elseBoring and expensive campsiteThis year we spent 10 days traveling with our grandchildren in our motorhome (10 days). We were mainly in Switzerland, then also in Austria and Germany. Walch's campsite was by far the most expensive place on the whole trip!!! Even the campsites in Switzerland were cheaper. Walch's campsite was also... the most boring campsite on the whole trip. The grandchildren couldn't do anything. If you wanted to do anything, you had to take the OV's. There is nothing nearby.
If you don't know your way around the internet, you're screwed. You have to find everything online. Even the Bludenz-Klostertal-Brandnertal Card. Only on your cell phone. After one night we all didn't want to stay any longer. Unfortunately, we had booked for three nights. Of course, we paid the money for the remaining 2 nights in vain. We then found a campsite in Germany that was much cheaper and there was a lake for swimming right next to the campsite (3 minutes' walk). There was a climbing park about 10 minutes' walk away. These are recommended campsites. We will certainly not be coming to Walch's campsite again!
ElsbethAutomātiski tulkots.Atbildēja no Walch’s Camping & Landhaus November 2, 2024Dear readers,
We couldn't convince Mrs. T. of our **** feel-good playground. Even though we offer a 5,000 m² playground - from slides and swings for the little ones to the Slakeline and climbing pyramid for the older ones. We also offer our guests a 220 m² wellness area with various saunas. All included... in the price. Other amenities include a children's playroom, bike service station, dog shower, baby bath, large terrace and TOP sanitary facilities. All in all, an all-round offer.
The Klostertal-Brandnertal-Bludenz guest card is also included in the price. It offers many discounts and all-inclusive services such as the outdoor pools in the region and public transport throughout Vorarlberg. The card is sent to our guests digitally. We have no influence on this.
The region in particular offers many attractions for families. The Bärenland on the Sonnenkopf with over 35 play stations. Easy to reach from the bus stop 100 m away. The ride to the Sonnenkopf takes 10 minutes. Or the Alpine Coaster on the Golm. An Eldorado for children.
We are very sorry that Mrs. T. and the grandchildren did not like it.

Thomas WalchAutomātiski tulkots. - Karin C.August 2023PozitīviThe weatherNegatīvaisNo infrastructureStay August 2023The boss is friendly, yes! Unfortunately, the place is overpriced, the price is not there. Bread roll service at horrendous prices, even here in Germany everything has become more expensive, but you can't add to that. No affordable restaurants in the village (even if the boss cooks himself). Supermarket... has everything, is ok.
Black mold in the ladies' showers was not cleaned up in 2 weeks!!!
And whoever started charging for dogs had a good idea. 5€/day for a bucket of water/week, very lucrative. What is the environmental charge used for/calculated for? The kw/h is also too expensive.Automātiski tulkots.Atbildēja no Walch’s Camping & Landhaus November 2, 2024Dear reader,
We are a **** campsite that offers many amenities. The standard pitches are 80 m² in size, 220 m² wellness area with Finnish sauna, Swiss stone pine sauna, bio sauna & infrared cabin is included in the price. 5,000 m² children's playground from the Slakeline to the small football pitch.... Barbecue station with free wood removal. In addition, many attractions in the region can be used with the Klostertal-Bludenz-Brandnertal guest card at a reduced price or included, as can public transport.
All this may cost something. The price adjustments are painful, but energy (+160 %), cleaning agents (+ 250 %), toilet and hand paper (+ 320 %) have to be passed on to our guests in part.
The environmental fee is used to pay for waste, water and wastewater charges. As a sustainable company, we try to make our guests aware of this and, for example, promote waste separation and careful water consumption.
We have the highest standards for cleanliness and this is also documented in many reviews. Therefore, the silicone joints are always renewed once a year.
It is absolutely normal in Austria to charge for pets. We also offer a dog shower for dog owners.
We regret that Mrs. C. did not feel comfortable with us.

Thank you very much for your excellent review. We are delighted that you felt completely at home at our **** campsite. We are very happy to pass on the praise to the staff.
With our Klostertal-Bludenz-Brandnertal guest card you can use many activities such as mountain railroads etc. at... a reduced rate. In addition, there is FREE entry to the region's outdoor pools or free use of buses and trains throughout Vorarlberg, which is very important to us, because sustainability is very important to us and we live by it.
Whether heating the building or preparing hot water with photovoltaics and geothermal heat pumps or selecting our suppliers, who only come directly from the region.
As the 1st Feng Shui place in Austria, we also ensure perfect well-being. From the 220 m² wellness area to the 5,000 m² children's playground with barbecue station. We provide the wood for this free of charge.
We are already looking forward to seeing you again. Best wishes from Braz in the Klostertal,

Thomas WalchAutomātiski tulkots. - Benjamin K.August 2022PozitīviCleanliness Condition of the pitch Friendliness and helpfulness SceneryNegatīvaisNoise (construction site, trains, highway, radio in restrooms) No catering facilities directly on the pitchFantastically beautiful, well-maintained place in the mountainsWe felt very comfortable during our stay. The campsite is in the middle of a narrow mountain valley, with green meadows and a nearby stream, but with good access to the road. Everything is well maintained and very clean.
The playground with a large meadow is a popular meeting place for young and old... and a barbecue area with free wood completes the picture. If you want, you can also use the sauna.
If it rains, there is also a playroom for children and a common room where you can also eat. There is also a fridge and a freezer here, so we were able to get by without our own cooling facilities. We also enjoyed using the sun loungers on offer.
The road connection is both an advantage and a disadvantage, as you can always hear some noise from the highway and every half hour or so a train rumbles through the valley on a track built into the mountainside. Unfortunately, there was construction work going on nearby during our stay, so we were woken up in the morning by a jackhammer, while the previous evening a farmer had been working late into the night on the neighboring field. Of course, this is not the campsite's fault. On the other hand, the operator is responsible for loud disco music being played in the toilets in the middle of the night.
You have to improvise when it comes to catering. There is a (relatively expensive) bread roll service and fresh water from the mountains. However, the campsite is too small to have its own restaurant or mini-market. However, you can reach the small but well-stocked supermarket in the village on foot after a short walk through the countryside. There is only one option for eating out in Innerbraz, otherwise you have to drive to one of the neighboring villages.
If you want to go hiking, you should also go there, as the paths in Bludenz, Klösterle and Dalaas are more beautiful and there are also mountain railroads and places to stop for refreshments, which are lacking in Braz.Automātiski tulkots. - Axel T.July 2022Pozitīvi-Very clean -High quality event and excursion tips -super staff, without exception!Negatīvais-Little shade -no restaurantCamping in perfectionThe campsite is beautifully situated, surrounded by the perfect Alpine scenery. The site is well maintained, the sanitary facilities are very clean at all times of the day and night and everything has been thought of. There is a large wellness area, which is included in the price, but which we didn't... use due to the good weather.
The bread roll service is great, the quality of the rolls is above average, the lady who delivers them is very friendly and her positive manner is not to be paid for with money! Thank you very much!
You can also tell that tourism is a way of life at this campsite by the daily tips that are posted, which offer something for every taste, but go far beyond the normal tourist tips.
The guest card, which is also included in the price, rounds off the stay. The motorhome does not need to be moved. You can travel all over Vorarlberg on the bus, which runs at least every hour and is also free of charge.
A visit to the solar-heated outdoor pool is also free of charge, and this list could go on and on, but should suffice to show that quality has its price. Of course, you can stay for €10 less, as one reviewer on Google has pointed out. But then you also get less. We don't want that. And not three times on vacation.

In addition to mobility throughout Vorarlberg, the guest card includes or discounts over 100 different services.... The wellness area is currently being enlarged and from December our guests will have 220 m² at their disposal. The new Swiss stone pine sauna is already in operation and we hope you enjoy it.

We received a friendly welcome and were given information about everything on the site. We were particularly impressed by the fact that they asked about any damage the next day after a heavy... storm in the evening, especially as a road in the immediate vicinity of the campsite was closed due to a landslide. Arrival and departure through nearby exits / driveways without problem, you do not have to torture yourself with caravans through a city. The cleanliness of the whole site should also be emphasized. I can't quite understand some of the reviewers with regard to the railroad, which runs partly through galleries above the site. If you're looking for something, you'll find something - that's my attitude to the traffic there. Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review. It's great that you felt completely at ease. As you rightly mentioned, the cars all park in the parking lot. This simply makes the place quieter and you don't hear the car doors slamming. The exception to this are guests with walking... difficulties. They can leave their car in the parking lot if they wish.

There is hardly any infrastructure in Braz (2 restaurants and 1 small supermarket). Ski areas can only be reached by bus (min.15min). The restaurant "Zur Traube" is great and worth the money. The restaurant "Rössle" takes advantage of the location from our point of view and... is far too expensive. At the campsite we stood directly under a high-voltage power line and next to the car parking lot. From 7:30 the peace and quiet was over. We left 2 days before (of course we paid for the entire booking period). Never again!!!Automātiski tulkots.Atbildēja no Walch’s Camping & Landhaus January 4, 2018Dear Mr. Niewerth,
We are very sorry that you did not feel comfortable in Braz. You arrived during the New Year's Eve week and it goes without saying that there is a lot going on and the first families leave for the ski resorts early in the morning.
I'm referring to the poor infrastructure in the village... and not on the pitch, as we have everything from Wi-Fi, children's playroom and wellness to a dog shower.
Braz is a small village with around 2,000 inhabitants. It has everything you need. Grocery store, restaurants, doctor etc. However, Braz does not invite you to stroll around.
As far as restaurants are concerned, I would like to tell you that both establishments are among the best in Vorarlberg!!!! The standard is very high and that costs money. The chef of the Gasthof Rössle - Mr. Valentin Bargehr - is himself in the kitchen and has received several awards. But you can always argue about value for money.
You simply chose the wrong place for your vacation. This is very regrettable, but it is certainly not our responsibility.
