- Burak a.January 2016Positive tingClean, secure for tourists, friendlyNegative tingDont use in national holiday of Turkey (for foreign tourists) Because so crowded.Best in Turkiye Camp Areas.Generally most of the areas were clean and useful. (specially bath areas so useful) 2 type of ares on camp (beach camp and garden camp only 1,5 Euro change for beach camp) Most of the caravan electric stations everywhere just clean water stations are near the bath/toilet/water areas. Foods are great.... Sometimes you will stop cooking something because AltınCamp got amazing chefs and waiters. (night dinner cost full of everything except drinks (8 Euro per person) Clean and Great beach with really blue flag sea water. Also you will walk on other beaches through the Burhaniye center. Only there is little market outside the altınkamp on 50-100 mt. and the big markets on MİGROS 1 km neard the camp.
- Alin M.July 2015Positive tingShade, lots of greenery, silenceNegative tinglack of toilet paper in the toilets, dogs loose in the campsite and on the beach, unclean beach, staff speak only TurkishOverall nice but...We spent 4 days at AltinCamp. The campground is large, with lots of sloths and lots of trees providing shade all day long. However, the staff do not speak any foreign language and do not interact in any way with the tourists. I was also bothered by the fact that we never found toilet paper at the toilet, the beach didn't look too neat and in the morning you didn't dare to go to the beach in the early hours because of the dogs sleeping there...Automatisk oversatt.

- Walter S.July 2014Positive tingQuiet location by the seaNegative tingMosquitoes, little shadeMosquito paradiseThere is a terrible plague of mosquitoes in the outdated washing facilities, shade is in short supply due to dying trees, the food in the restaurant is good, but only 2 dishes are offered, which are repeated every few days, the portions are small and too expensive for Turkish standards, dogs are NOT allowed to swim in the sea.Automatisk oversatt.

Thank you for being our guest and taking the time to give us your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed Altin Camp. We would like to inform you that the sanitary facilities were renovated before the summer season 2014.
We would be delighted to welcome you back to Altin Camp.
Best regards from the Altin familyAutomatisk oversatt. - reiner d.August 2013too expensive a place by turkish standards sanitary facilities outdated the sea is a bit colder at this point warm shower extra too far away hello camper if already expensive ...then at least insist on a bill when paying.Automatisk oversatt.Besvart fra Altincamp November 30, 2014Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. However, we would find it more informative if you had mentioned the price you paid. Then visitors to this page could get a clear impression of whether the facility was really expensive for them or whether it was in line with the services provided.... Incidentally, we issue an invoice for every guest, regardless of whether they insist on it or not.
As far as the distance to the hot showers is concerned, we have a large camping area around the sanitary facilities with hot showers. However, if guests want to pitch their caravan or tent right by the sea, they have sanitary facilities and beach showers in the immediate vicinity. For hot showers, however, they have to walk a few minutes to the rear area. However, we also have hot showers near the beach for people with walking difficulties.
For your information: Our sanitary facilities were completely renovated at the beginning of the 2014 season.
The sea temperature usually depends on the wind. With an offshore wind, the sea is colder than with an onshore wind. The important thing is that the sea here is very clean and clear.
We wish you a pleasant vacation.
Kind regards from the Altin family,
I. SieberAutomatisk oversatt. - Herbert G.July 2013AltincampThe campsite is in a fantastic location right on the seashore. It is completely overgrown with pine and deciduous trees, so that every camper has the opportunity to camp in the shade. The operators/owners of the site speak German and are very friendly and happy to answer any questions. The price for... a motorhome, electricity and two people was around €18 per night at the beginning of July 2013, which in my opinion is acceptable for Turkey. The toilets are reasonably clean, but toilet paper is not included in the price. However, if you want to take a shower and you have set up camp close to the sea, the distance to the showers is very long (approx. 250 -300m). However, the showers are located in a beautiful palm garden. The bathrooms themselves are functional and always supplied with hot water, but in a somewhat neglected and rather unkempt condition. A big minus on the campsite are the many mostly stray dogs that are out and about on the campsite, especially in the evening and at night. When we asked the site manager if there were any dogs here, the answer was yes, there is a dog, the guard dog that belongs on this site. We were not informed about the three other "giant calves" that turned up. There is also a restaurant on the site, but it can't really be described as such. Here you can only get something to eat if you order it from the cook in the afternoon and you only have the choice between two dishes. If you get involved in this fun, you will get a shock when you get the bill. The food was not particularly good (rather very bad!), the portion was the size of a child's plate and the subsequent price broke all records during our four-week stay in Turkey. 30 euros! And a beer or a good glass of wine with the meal - that's not possible, as they are supposedly not allowed to serve alcohol to guests there. The mayor had forbidden it, I was told. So I had to bring my own wine with my meal. What was very strange, however, was that the Turkish guests from the adjoining hotel were served their beer with their meal - all very strange! The only thing you can actually buy on the campsite is bread and water in the morning, but this (H2O) is at clearly inflated prices! Finally, a word about the beach: it's very quiet overall, 3 - 4 meters wide and mostly sandy with some larger pebbles mixed in. The shore is very gently sloping, which is an advantage for families with children. After 20 - 30 meters you are still only in the water up to your belly button. The water temperature was much colder than on other beaches in Turkey at the beginning of July (around 23-25°C). As far as the night's sleep is concerned, it is very pleasantly quiet, except for the repeated cries of several peacocks from the neighboring property.Automatisk oversatt.Besvart fra Altincamp November 30, 2014Dear guest Herbert G.,
Thank you very much for your visit to Altin Camp and for your detailed review. First of all, we are of course delighted that you find the location of our campsite beautiful and appreciate our old trees, as well as the friendliness of our management. Altin Camp was founded in 1963... by the Altin family and has been run by the same family ever since. The satisfaction of our guests is a matter close to our hearts. The same applies to the accuracy and topicality of the information. We would therefore like to take your criticism seriously. You note that the
distance from your pitch to the hot showers was 250-300m. In reality it is 150 meters. We are sorry that the walk seemed so long to you, but we are pleased that you were able to enjoy the Palm Garden, which you praise. We inform our guests on arrival where the various sanitary facilities with or without hot showers are located. If you would like to be close to the sanitary facilities instead of directly by the sea (if space is available), this is possible, but has the disadvantage that you have to walk a few minutes longer to the sanitary facilities with hot showers. However, we also have hot showers available for disabled guests in the front facilities.
They call our sanitary facilities "neglected". In 2013, due to a lack of guests, we only had one sanitary block open, which was indeed subject to heavy wear and tear. However, as you are pleased to note, the facilities were always clean and the hot water system (solar) also functioned smoothly.
At the beginning of the 2014 season, the sanitary facilities were all opened and renovated. For your information.
You mention the three loose dogs you saw in the camp. These are the dogs from a neighboring house next to the campsite and are completely harmless. They do not linger in our grounds, but run past from time to time. This, as well as the noise of the peacocks from another resort, are external influences which, in our opinion, have nothing to do with the quality of the services you received at our resort, as they are beyond our control.
What we find very unfortunate is the fact that you were not satisfied with the food in our restaurant. Almost all of our guests are satisfied with the quality and taste of our food preparation. Many Turkish guests even come because of the food. Everything we write on our website about the food we use is true. Nothing on our website says that we completely reject supermarkets as a source of supply. What you write, namely that we buy all our food in supermarkets, does not correspond to the fact that we like to buy regional and seasonal products and prefer small stores that produce locally. And meat, in particular, is not bought from the supermarket but from our local butcher, who we have been buying from for decades.
You complain that you had to pre-order food in our restaurant. We can't see anything negative about having to pre-book in a restaurant, especially when the number of guests on the campsite is so low that we would otherwise have to cook too much and the food would have to be left over.
Your comment on the alcohol license: Until the end of August 2013, we did indeed not have an alcohol license due to the actions of the mayor at the time and the situation was therefore not easy for either us or our guests in this regard. Now we have the alcohol license again. So your visit does not have to fail because of this. And if you don't like a meal or the portions are too small for you, please let us know immediately. We will take care of it. The prices of dishes are shown on the menu board so that guests are spared a "shock". Our food is fresh, valuable and inexpensive.
Our water is just as inexpensive. A 2-liter bottle cost 2 lira in the restaurant in 2014, which is the equivalent of around 0.75 cents. You will also understand that in 2013 we were unable to maintain a grocery store on site with the very few camping visitors. However, you did get your daily bread and the kiosk not far from the campsite provided you with the rest of your needs.
We hope to be able to provide you and other visitors to camping.info with relevant information.
Kind regards from the Altin family,
I. SieberAutomatisk oversatt. - Julia M.July 2013The campsite is very clean, quiet and beautifully situated, right by the sea. The very friendly management speaks German. There is a restaurant on the campsite by the beach. While there are many German guests on the campsite, the town itself is more frequented by Turkish tourists and therefore stands... out positively from the typical tourist strongholds on the coast. You can go on nice excursions in the surrounding area, for example to Ayvalik. I can definitely recommend the place for a nice vacation.Automatisk oversatt.Besvart fra Altincamp November 30, 2014Dear guest Julia,
Thank you very much for your visit to Altin Camp! We would also like to thank you for taking the time to write appreciative, complimentary words about our facility and the surrounding area. This makes us very happy and encourages us. It is very nice that you recommend Altin Camp to others. We would be very pleased to welcome you again.
See you next time, with best regards from the Altin family,
I.
