- Frank M.July 2023Positive tingThere is a very nice view of the sea from the pitch; if you are in the front row, you have a great view. The pitches are large enough and you have enough space to spread out. You can go boating here, go on lovely bike rides and take your dog for a nice walk. Due to the remoteness of the campsite, it is also very quiet here and you can relax. You can cycle into town relatively quickly to go shopping. There is a store on the campsite for quick shopping. Here you can buy bread rolls in the morning, there is ice cream, a small range of groceries, toiletries, two types of draught beer and freshly made fast food from 4pm. The staff are very friendly, helpful and competent.Negative tingUnfortunately, the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated and some of them are in need of renovation. In the shower area the joints of the tiles are moldy, the ventilation system is defective or set too small, the toilets are partly loose, the toilet brushes are too soft and in the kitchen area the hotplates are sometimes without function, there is not a drain plug for all sinks, which makes washing up difficult. It is also bad that some dog owners do not keep to the leash obligation on the pitch, the dogs are simply left to run on the meadows. However, this is not exemplified by the site operators, if they don't stick to it...Our summer vacation July 2023All in all, it's a lovely campsite with good peace and quiet and a good view.
Anette is always friendly and helpful, responds to guests' wishes whenever possible and tries to fulfill them.
We've been coming here on vacation for 20 years now and always enjoy coming back because it's very nice despite the little things!Automatisk oversatt. - Andreas S.August 2021Positive ting1A locationNegative tingToo many GermansQuiet location with sea viewWe received a very friendly welcome in German and were allocated a seat. Fortunately, it was in the front row facing the water with a direct sea view. The reception has a lunch break from 12pm to 2pm, check-in before 12pm costs extra and check-out after 2pm also costs extra. A small but well-stocked... store offers the essentials. Bread rolls for breakfast can be pre-ordered. The Kvickly market in Nordborg is 5 km away.
The pitches in the first row have a 60m wide playing field in front of them, after which there is an almost vertical slope of about 10m. To get to the beach, there are several steps or you can turn right to the slipway.
There is a pre-charged card of DKK 100 for showers, which is charged at the end. WLAN is free but only very weak in the first row. (Our notebooks still had reception, the smartphones did not). Barbecues with charcoal are permitted.
The small lighthouse "Augustenhof Fyr" is located directly at the campsite.
The guests during our stay were 90% German (early August '21)
We felt very comfortable here and will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt. - Ulrich B.June 2017Positive tingThe location and the friendliness.Negative tingThe old sanitary facilitiesA campsite for peace and friendliness. We have been going to this site for 5 years. We are very satisfied, the new sanitary facilities are ok. The view over the Little Belt, the fishing possibilities and the sunset over the Belt are great.Automatisk oversatt.
- Rainer M.June 2017Positive tingAnother genuine Danish campsite with no frillsNegative tingWe did not find anySimple but very good!Nice places mostly with sea view, good wind protection by hedges, nice family cabins, other sanitary facilities old but very clean, small store that has (almost) everything, small snack bar. Very nice operators!Automatisk oversatt.
- bernd l.May 2016Positive tingEverything fitsNegative tingEwwwGreat place to relaxQuiet and beautiful, child-friendly campsite right on the coast with a natural beach. Very lively over Whitsun, quiet out of season. I always felt very comfortable and will come again.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ulrich B.June 2015Positive tingYou can spend an orderly, varied vacation according to your mood and desireNegative tingAs I said, the old sanitary facilities.Quiet and friendlyWe have been to Augustenhof with our dog 4 times so far. We will certainly return next year. The old sanitary facilities should be renovated. The new ones are ok. Cycling and hiking is great. In the evening almost everyone has a barbecue and there is a great butcher nearby, accessible by bike or car. In short, it's nice and friendly there. campers from DK. D. N. etc.Automatisk oversatt.
- Gabi T.June 2015Positive tingSuper nice place operators, quiet, beautiful landscape2 wonderful weeksWe ended up on this site by chance and spent 2 relaxing weeks there (21.06. - 05.07.2015). We have not experienced such a nice welcome as there for a long time. There is a small store selling everyday necessities and there are older but always clean sanitary facilities as well as newer spacious family... cabins, which are also always clean. In addition to the older ones, there is also a new kitchen, a lounge, baby changing facilities, washing machines, a playground and a mini golf course. There is a slipway for boaters; the harbors in Dyvig are recommended for larger boats. Good wind protection due to trees and hedges, no puddles formed in heavy rain; the surface of our chosen pitch was very level. Our pitch was also very quiet, which may be different further ahead or at other times. You can get to the beach/water via a staircase and into the water via a bathing bridge, although this had not yet been built. Bathing shoes are recommended.Automatisk oversatt.
- Kai V.May 2015Positive tingLocation directly on the water; beautiful landscapeOur first choice for over 20 yearsWe have been camping on this beautiful site every Whitsun for over 20 years. The location is great. The site managers are very nice and helpful. The small store fulfills all wishes and even the permanent campers are not as bad as on most German campsites. We look forward to Whitsun every year!Automatisk oversatt.
- Peter M.August 2013Positive ting- Good location for boating - Lots of peace and relaxation - Friendly camper neighborsNegative ting- no water and waste water at the pitch - too few washrooms - not dog-friendlyNice and cozy in itself, unfortunately no longer dog-friendlyHello, the campsite is beautifully and quietly situated on the Baltic Sea with a view of the sea. There are a few nice new washrooms, but unfortunately there are too few in the season and you have to wait too long in the morning. There is a slipway for boaters, which is well laid out and you can park... your boat right there at the ramp without having to walk back and forth. The campers on the site are very friendly, not as stuffy as in Germany. The pitches are large enough, but unfortunately only have electricity and no water or waste water. There is a small store with plenty of choice. The operators are actually quite friendly, but since the new dog regulations the Danes are very averse to dogs, so unfortunately we won't be going there again.Automatisk oversatt.

- Marina A.July 2011Pitches are very spacious, some with a direct view of the sea. Steps lead down to the water and a jetty with steps to the entrance makes it easier to get in, as there are lots of stones in the water. The sanitary building is somewhat older but generally clean. In the toilet cubicles, however, you got... a bit claustrophobic because they were so cramped. Showers "older year of construction". Otherwise a small landing with an outdoor terrace where you can chat with other vacationers. The place is almost in "German vacationer hands". The staff are very friendly and speak good German. A paradise for dogs, as there are fields around the site with plenty of opportunity to run around and few walkers along the water.Automatisk oversatt.
- sol ..August 2010Beautiful location directly on the Baltic Sea, but quite remote. Friendly operators, food market available, minigolf somewhat neglected, sanitary facilities in need of major renovation,Automatisk oversatt.
