- Andreas W.August 2017Positive tingBeautifully situated on the lake, spacious pitches with plenty of open space in betweenNegative tingMidgiesSituated on the water, spacious grounds, top sanitary facilitiesWe were traveling with our 11-year-old daughter in August 2017. We received a very friendly welcome at the campsite (we had reserved a pitch by phone the evening before). We were allowed to choose the gravel pitch, only the first row directly on the lakeshore is intended for caravans/mobile homes - without... an awning. So we also had a clear view of the water from the second row! The sanitary facilities are very spacious and clean. Fort William is only a stone's throw away, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet here by the lake and still be in town quickly.Automatisk oversatt.

- René R.June 2011The course is beautifully situated directly on an arm of the sea (Loch Linnhe) near Fort William. Most of the pitches have a direct view of Loch Linnhe, as the rear pitches are slightly elevated and the middle of the pitch has been left free for a large meadow. The pitches are gravelled and separated... by a strip of grass. The 1st row (no extra charge) is separated from the shore by a lawn of varying widths. Paths and green areas are very well maintained. Great care is taken not to drive over the green areas. Although located in the open, the stations for fresh and waste water, toilets and waste disposal are among the cleanest I have ever seen. A significant detail in passing: every morning between 10:30 and 11:00, the assistant groundskeeper checks the lifebuoy on the shore with a flick of the wrist. The washrooms are very clean. The shower curtains in the shower were a small drawback, which I personally don't like. Tents are not permitted on the site, no tent caravans are allowed in the 1st row and no awnings may be erected. The camping store only has a very rudimentary range of food. The nearest shops are in Ballachulish and Fort William. Few leisure facilities in the immediate vicinity of the site, only a few footpaths in the adjacent forest. However, very interesting surroundings with Glencoe, Fort William, Ben Nevis etc. Non-members of the Caravan Club pay 8 pounds more than club members. Club membership may be worthwhile for longer stays. W-Lan costs 5 pounds / 5 hours and is valid on all Caravan Club sites.Automatisk oversatt.
