"Central vacation camping - Camping with all amenities for a longer stay for those interested in prehistory. Many things are within walking distance. WLAN reception is currently being extended to the campsite. Simply recommendable.

"Beautiful place in the heart of the Perigord. Great base for excursions - We were there for 5 nights in mid-August (it makes perfect sense to book in advance). The place was well and internationally visited, it was correspondingly full at prime time at the pool, which was clean and well maintained. Small restaurant/bar with a small "store" where you can get chilled wine and cold beer as well as croissants and baguettes in the morning. The proximity to Les Eysies was great, which can be easily reached on foot or by bike (riverside paths on both sides of the Vezere). In the village we can recommend the restaurant "Chateaubriand" and if you have the opportunity to visit the "community festival" you should do so. Check the notices on the camping site. There are many nice things advertised there (visit to the clowns or the foie gras truck...) The pitches are not huge, but sufficient for the three of us with a camper van. We went on lots of excursions. We can recommend the canoe trip and the rental shop is practically on the doorstep. A visit to Laxcaux IV is a must. Even or especially with children, it's amazing and can be easily reached by car in about 25 minutes. The sanitary facilities have been redone, but in our opinion not thought through to the end. The shower provides (very) hot water, which cannot be set colder (except in the family shower), which is not very refreshing, especially in midsummer. Another negative thing we noticed was that the chemical toilets were located right next to the showers and sinks. This does not make for a pleasant smell and could be solved better.

"Camp centale for visiting caves - Nice campsite, well-maintained quiet with spacious and shady pitches. The village a few minutes away and central for visiting the Vezere valley.

"Campsite in the beautiful Vezere valley, very quiet, well-run. Pleasant - The campground is very convenient for visits to the many prehistoric sites in the area. Very quiet. Pleasant reception, nice pitches. Sanitary facilities in good order. Few minutes to visit the village.

"Les Eyzies: La Rivière - Very nice, well-run campsite with swimming pool, café-restaurant, store, bread service in the morning. Very nice pitches, mostly under trees. Ideal for relaxing and feeling at home. At a moderate price: EUR 10.00 for one person with tent and bicycle.

" - Very nice campsite, in a quiet location, close to the village and the river. Pitches level, bordered by half-height hedges, sufficiently large. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Pool large enough for swimming or refreshing. The train connection makes excursions, e.g. to Perigueux, easy and simple, price for 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog approx. 45€. We really liked it there, the only drawback: the sanit. The sanitary facilities were as good as new, but only superficially cleaned, and the drainage system gave off a bad urine smell towards the end of the week, which we didn't like very much. Nevertheless, we would visit the site again.
