- Martin H.June 2023Positive tingVery good facilities, clean, ample sanitary facilities, very child-friendly (playgrounds, bathing area), friendly staff, large pitches, each SP with electricity/water connectionNegative tingWe were only there for three nights....Very nice CP, thoughtfully laid out, very spacious pitchesVery nice campsite close to the beach (10 minutes by bike), superbly equipped with spacious, clean sanitary facilities. Ideal for water sports and cycling. Large supermarket on site with a very good selection of bread rolls. Fast, professional check-in by very friendly staff, the pitch can be chosen... from the free pitches (also ACSI customers...). The town of Renesse offers shopping facilities and a number of restaurants. There are many interesting places to visit in the surrounding area (Scheldt barrier) Middelburg, Zirikzee,...Automatisk oversatt.
- Jörg S.September 2019Positive tingCentral location between Renesse and Burgh Hamstede, fully equippedNegative tingLocation a little far from the beachRelaxed in the hinterlandWe were with 2 adults, 2 children (13 & 11 years) and a camper with awning from 29.09.2019 to 06.10.2019 at the campsite "De wilde Blick". A reservation would not have been necessary, but it was very easy to make via the online form. The campsite is easy to reach and well signposted. It is spacious and... is located a little further from the beach near the center of Renesse. The campsite is part of a chain and meets the usual standard in terms of organization and facilities, which is well above the Dutch norm. The pitches are laid out in fenced-off meadows and arranged in a circle. Unfortunately, our pitch was not very well protected from the rainwater, which meant that we already had that seaside feeling in the awning. However, it would certainly not have been a problem to change pitches. A special highlight is certainly the indoor swimming pool, which was mainly used by the children. We were also impressed by the numerous play equipment scattered around the site and the other amenities. If you accept the slightly longer walk to the beach, you will certainly be more sheltered from the wind here than on the pitches near the beach. As we hadn't planned a beach vacation at the beginning of October anyway, the location between Renesse and Burgh Hamstede suited us very well.Automatisk oversatt.
- Heiko R.April 2019Beautiful camping in RenesseVery nice campsite, about 1 km from the center of Renesse. There are pitches with their own sanitary facilities. Small swimming pool with slide and various playgrounds. Everything is very clean and the staff is friendly.Automatisk oversatt.
- Matthias R.January 2019Positive tingPeace and quiet, large pitchesNegative tingWash house a little too cool in winterVery well equipped, quiet campsiteWe stayed at the campsite for 7 nights over New Year's Eve. It was quite full until 01.01.19, then emptied out abruptly. You can go on great excursions by car (all parking spaces are free in winter) and by bike and enjoy a swim at the end of the day. The size of the pitches is very generous, the sanitary... facilities are always relatively close by and there is a bread roll service even when the pitches are not full. The only thing I found too cold was the wash house, especially in the shower area. Very cheap with the ACSI Card at €20.Automatisk oversatt.
- Holger Z.October 2018Positive tingNice staff, great children's entertainment, quiet, beautiful cycle paths. Usw....Negative tingIs there noSuper campsiteWe had a wonderful fall vacation. There was nothing to complain about. Nice staff and animation team. Simply everything TOPAutomatisk oversatt.
- Ralf S.June 2018Positive tingLots of greenery and peace and quiet on spacious pitchesNegative tinga bit far away from the town and beachJust outside in green natureAs is often the case in the Netherlands, the car is not on the pitch. This is very pleasant, because you live on a spacious meadow fenced in by high hedges (good for wind protection) with 6 to 8 campers at a time. No cramped feeling as a result. A small mini playground and a wooden seating area are always... included in the units. Wi-Fi is free and, at least for me, easily accessible. Even faster internet possible for an extra charge. Rabbits and ducks stroll around the well-kept meadow. Seagulls are also always nearby. So be careful with dogs with a hunting instinct. The campsite is located just outside Renesse (easy access) and is therefore pleasantly quiet. In Renesse itself there are plenty of free parking spaces at the Transferium. The best way to get to the sea is by bike. Or take a medium-length walk. Free parking at the sea itself only from 18:00. Wonderful sand and beautiful beach pavilions everywhere. Back to the campsite: large children's playhouse and large playground with bouncy cushions in the middle of the site. We didn't try either of the restaurants/snack bars. But they both made a good impression. You can even have a breakfast buffet. Clean swimming pool with times for adults only and pleasantly warm water. Exceptionally well-stocked supermarket with fair prices. The bread rolls are even really tasty. Unusual for Holland, which otherwise only knows rubber bread. The whole site is very clean and well maintained. We had booked private sanitary facilities 5m from the caravan. This was very pleasant, but the sanitary facilities were very basic. I had to fight my hay fever because of all the greenery. Even though you're supposed to have peace and quiet by the sea.Automatisk oversatt.
- Lars W.May 2018Positive tingNice ambience, very clean overall.Negative tingMany dogs.Very nice campsiteThe site is located just outside Renesse inland. Distance to Renesse approx. 1.5 and to the beach approx. 2.5 kilometers. The site is beautifully overgrown, so the pitches are very sheltered within the circle. Sanitary facilities are standard Dutch plastic, very clean overall. There are currently a lot... of dogs on the site, but the site is still very clean. The reception is very friendly and courteous. The store is well stocked, the snack bar is standard.Automatisk oversatt.
- Sonja K.October 2017Positive tingPrivate sanitary facilities Dog friendly Swimming pool Very friendly and super organized Good valueNegative tingNoneSuper nice campsiteWe are here for the 2nd time this fall. We have a comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities. The staff are very friendly. There is a swimming pool on the site. We love coming here.Automatisk oversatt.
- Tanja und Ruben M.June 2017Positive tingEverything within cycling distance but not in the centerNegative tingNoneCamping in the land of campersWe spent a week here at Whitsun. Weather-wise everything the North Sea has to offer was represented. Large pitches, nice permanent campers. There is something to explore in all weathers. Reese very easy to reach by bike and with children. But far enough away so that you don't get a permanent party feeling. The beach is just as easily accessible. Our boys have been talking about their next stay for a long timeAutomatisk oversatt.
- Sabine H.August 2016Positive tingModern sanitary facilities, good distance to the beach and townsNegative tingAnimation only in Dutch, lack of toilet paper in toilets, lousy WLAN, only 6 minutes of water in the shower, narrow pathsVery large place with good facilities but some weaknessesCampsite rating "De Wijde Blick" Reception: The ladies at reception were able to help us at all times in a friendly and competent manner. On arrival we quickly got everything we needed and departure also went smoothly. Only the size of our caravan was a small problem on this site. Although I had indicated... the overall length beforehand and asked to be allocated a pitch that was suitable for the size, we had considerable difficulties both when entering the pitch and when parking. The site's tractor driver was also a bit overwhelmed and took half an hour to park the caravan. The Wi-Fi on the site is free and you can register as many devices as you have indicated. However, the reception is very modest and the strength is only just sufficient for reading emails. The supermarket has a large selection of fresh bread rolls and croissants, as well as fruit, vegetables, meat, fresh orange juice... everything you need. The restaurant is relatively expensive and the quality of the food does not match the price. You can get chips, frikandel, pizza etc. at the snack bar. For each day you get a token for the EasyBe dishwasher - this is an industrial dishwasher that is ready after 3-5 minutes. However, you have to wash the dishes thoroughly beforehand, as the dishwasher cannot wash anything that is already slightly dried out. There is a large launderette with plenty of washing machines and dryers. A wash load costs €4.75 for the washing machine and €2.50 for the dryer. It is a little impractical that you have to get the tokens at reception, which is right at the other end of the campsite. Sanitary facilities: The sanitary facilities are modern and available in sufficient numbers. Unfortunately, they are usually cleaned at inconvenient times, namely in the morning when most people get up. Cleaning takes a really long time, during which time either the ladies' toilets or the men's toilets are usually completely closed and you either have to go to the toilet of the opposite sex or to the other wash house. Unfortunately, for taking so long to clean, it is not super thorough and, for example, the disinfectant in the toilets is not replenished every day, nor is the soap. Furthermore, with full occupancy, cleaning once a day is definitely not enough, especially as the guests often tear off the toilet paper in such an unfavorable way that it can no longer be used afterwards, which has repeatedly led to half of the toilets no longer having usable toilet paper in the afternoon. In the showers you have water for 6 minutes. Every time you turn off the water, you also have to press the time button, otherwise the time continues to run. 6 minutes may be enough for men, but both my daughter and I couldn't cope with this low water pressure with our thick, long hair. After the 6 minutes there is NO more water at all, so no cold water either, and you have to wait 1 minute before the 6 minutes start again. Unfortunately, this leads to many women with long hair switching to the family showers, where there are 2 showers next to each other and you can use the second shower after the first 6 minutes have elapsed. As there is no explanation of how the shower timer works and it is not displayed anywhere, I have often seen exasperated women get out of the shower and go to the next shower. Just stopping the time is not self-explanatory. Overall, there are a lot of Dutch people on the campsite - our children had some difficulty making German friends. The entertainment for the children is actually great, but unfortunately only in Dutch, so unfortunately our children couldn't take part, which I think is a real shame.Automatisk oversatt.
- Gregor S.December 2015Positive tingClean, friendly, polite, simply greatVery very nice placeIt is often said that the Dutch invented camping. De Wijde Blick is one of the sites that proves this. The friendliness at the reception opens the feel-good program. Whether booking in advance or on arrival - you simply feel at ease and in very good hands. The pitches are beautiful, clean and spacious.... Help with moving into your pitch is a matter of course - even with my 9-meter caravan I had enough space for everything. The wash houses are very clean and even the cleaning staff are nice and helpful. Then there's the restaurant, the bread roll service and so on - everything was really at its very best - vacation as it should be. As a bonus, there's this great indoor pool that you can use for free as a guest - simply perfect. If you're looking for a downside, then perhaps the slightly longer walk to the beach - but I didn't find it to be one. Finally, I have to highlight the restaurant - because what was conjured up there during our stay is certainly not an everyday occurrence. Dear de Wijde-Blick team - I will be back because you are all exceptional - THANK YOU SO MUCHAutomatisk oversatt.
- Daniel S.December 2014Positive tingModern indoor poolNegative tingNot directly on the beachNice, gladly again...We were there for a week over New Year's Eve 2014/2015 and we liked it very much. There is an indoor swimming pool with a slide on the site that you can use free of charge. We were pulled onto the pitch by a tractor because it was so wet. Nice, large playground with a "knight's castle" and lots of small playgrounds. You should have a bike or car for the trip to the beach or Renesse.Automatisk oversatt.
