- Henning F.May 2022Positive tingLandscape, water, viewNegative tingnoneTime to slow downMake sure you book a pitch with a view of the lake, it's worth the few extra euros. The site is nice and small, great pitches. The view and the water right next to the campsite are unbeatable. You can go swimming or SUPing. The very small store somehow has everything you could need in an emergency (we had forgotten chips, oh God). The operators are very friendly. You can go for a nice walk. We'll be back!Automatisk oversatt.
- Bernd F.July 2020Positive tingTidy and clean facility, no midday rest, bread roll ordering service, new washrooms and toilets, beautifully located and right on the water.Negative tingToo quiet (absolutely nothing going on), very few shopping opportunities, hardly any play opportunities for children (1 swing, 1 table tennis table with bumps), no real beach, of the 4 toilets 1-2 were constantly clogged, the common room was closed at the interesting times, hot water for showering and washing up only for a fee.Very quiet place, ideal for pensioners. We were at the campsite in the summer. It was one of the few that still had a free pitch.
But there was actually a lot of space available and nothing going on.
Ideal for pensioners or families with small children.
Young people certainly expect something different from a camping vacation than is possible... there.
You'll find extensive countryside for walking and cycling. And for canoeists, it is certainly also a nice paddling area. But that's all there is and the site has absolutely nothing to offer apart from the pitches. The reception sold a few Aldi items at double the price and you had to order bread rolls the day before. These were expensive, but soft.
The washrooms and toilets were clean and newly
renovated, but the toilets were often blocked.
The scenery was beautiful, but we don't need to go there again.Automatisk oversatt. - Frank H.August 2019Positive tingLocation, peace and quiet, relaxed campersRest and relaxationWe spent a weekend at Hellör with friends. We found the site to be very quiet, relaxed and close to nature. The location directly on the Schlei is great! The sanitary facilities are certainly not up to date, but they are clean. We also noticed that other campers were very relaxed and children were still playing properly. There is no WiFi and the cell phone reception is very poor - but maybe that's why it was so relaxed and niceAutomatisk oversatt.
- Bernd W.July 2018Positive ting+ not so big / full + the family has it well under control + own section of beach with sand/grass and a jettyNegative ting- Steep access roadPure relaxation on Germany's only fjordWe visited with our caravan for a good week. We liked everything. Great location, friendly welcome and harmonious atmosphere on the site. A quick swim in the morning, a bike ride and exploring the area. We would love to come back. There is a large open meadow for larger vehicles from which you can see over the campers in the first rows to the Schlei. Other pitches are under trees (almost like an orchard) on a slope.Automatisk oversatt.
- J. M.July 2018Positive tingPeace and quiet, view of the Schlei, spacious pitchesNegative tingYou have to drive to go shopping, but sometimes you miss the good Wi-Fi connectionQuiet CP with a great view of the SchleiSimple but very beautifully situated, very quiet CP mostly with a view of the Schlei, sanitary facilities small, tidy, very clean - spacious pitches on meadow, partly unparceled partly with shade, only central water points and electricity partly with extension cable, partly only 6 A fuse (=1350 watts!),... almost no WiFi, operator assigns pitches exactly, attaches importance to order and waste separation, very eager and helpful when approached. Small bathing area on the Schlei, jetty, dogs have a special watering hole run through the fields, cycle paths on the Schlei or along the roads, canoe rental on site, excursions: Eckerförde, Baltic Sea, Schleswig with World Heritage Site Wickingersiedlung HaithabuAutomatisk oversatt.
- Stefan L.June 2018Positive tingLocationNegative ting------recommendableVery clean and tidy. The owners are very concerned about the well-being of their guests. The location is very suitable for water lovers. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We would love to come backAutomatisk oversatt.
- Manu und Jochen L.May 2018Positive tingQuiet location directly on the water. Ideal for boaters. Beautiful walking paths for dog owners.Negative tingFree-roaming dogs on the site. Limited sanitary facilitiesTo the Schlei in MayVery quiet and well-kept site, directly on the Schlei with its own jetty. Tourist pitches mostly unparceled. Price/performance ok. Very detailed site briefing. Clean sanitary facilities, but somewhat undersized when the site is full.Automatisk oversatt.
- Volkhard S.September 2017Positive tingAbsolute peace and quietNegative tingThe peace and quiet also comes at a price.Super nice place. Very friendly and helpfulI got to know various places on my tour around the Schlei. Almost all of them were quiet, this one was the quietest of them all.Automatisk oversatt.
- Detlef W.August 2017Positive tingThe cordiality of the operators, the site conditions, the surroundingsNegative tinga little .. It would be nice if we could get a small snack. like meatball salad, or currywurst/friesHellör Camping...a paradise on the SchleiMy family and I have been coming to this wonderful camp on the Schlei for 30 years now. admittedly, (our friends asked us to come here in 1988), we weren't very enthusiastic at first. but that quickly changed. this year we visited the site twice. We also brought some of our camping friends here, who... still come back enthusiastically today, often to spend time together. it's like our second home. even our daughter and son-in-law have been here for 10 years. Not only the place is beautiful...also the cordial operators contribute a lot to make you feel really comfortable.in the first years the dear family Paulsen and for a long time their cordial daughter Frauke with her husband Klaus and the two children Lena and Henning. Here and there a little conversation ...everything fits here But also in the small kiosk where the bread rolls are picked up in the morning, a little chat is always possible with the friendly staff..there are recommendations for activities .ectr.and nobody complains because he might have to wait 1 minute. I call it an all-round carefree package, in short, I hope that we can visit this little paradise for a long time to come and experience pure relaxation. At this point, a big compliment to Frauke and her entire familyAutomatisk oversatt.
- Susanne K.August 2017Positive tingLocation, stand, activities and food providedNegative tingNoneOur best vacation in over 20 years of campingDespite a difficult arrival and departure - we were unable to keep to the reception opening hours - we received a friendly welcome and farewell from the site manager. However, we made contact early on about our difficulties. The campsite is simply magnificent. We were right at the top of the large meadow... with a brilliant view of the Schlei. We had our best vacation there in 20 years of camping, in terms of the view, cycling, paddling and the quality of the food available. Simply unique :-)Automatisk oversatt.
- Mette P.July 2017Positive tingLocation Friendliness Peace and quietBeautiful spot on earth!!!We were on the site in July and thought it was great... Contrary to previous reviews, we found the site manager very friendly and helpful. In the morning when getting bread rolls you already got appointments in the region - so the daily program ;-) Perhaps you should respect the fact that the site operator... also needs a break from time to time and take this into consideration... (in the high season I imagine this job to be really exhausting - bread rolls from 08:00 and arrivals until 22:00 - she always has to be available - except during the lunch break). On the subject of space, I have to say: you rarely have that! Here, great care is taken to ensure that everyone has enough space and that everything still works. We had our dog with us and were even placed at the edge so that we could go for a quick walk and there wasn't so much activity directly on the pitch, if you can even call it that here. Every day we really enjoyed swimming in the Schlei and lazing in the beach chair right by the water. Reading a book on the campsite's own jetty - simply a dream. I would especially like to thank the owner for the wonderful, relaxing vacation! We will be back!!!!Automatisk oversatt.
- Andreas R.July 2017Positive tingLocation, peace and quietNegative tingRudeness and unfriendlinessCould be a great place to goWe have been to this site (almost) twice. About the site: It is beautifully situated and very, very quiet directly on the Schlei. Unfortunately, almost all the top pitches with a view of the Schlei are reserved for permanent campers, so you find yourself in the 2nd row. However, this is not fundamentally... unpleasant, as there is enough space to set up a table and chair on the site directly on the Schlei. The site is not parceled out and the pitches are quite spacious. The power connection boxes are locked so you can't pull in or out on your own. I was there for the first time with my daughter. We were greeted by an extremely friendly young lady who gave us our cards (one for access, one for hot water) and briefly explained the site. Her mother would be along shortly to show us our pitch. Before us, 4 other campers got a pitch without a reservation, we ourselves had a reservation. We were allocated our pitch very quickly. However, she had to leave quickly and wanted to come back quickly to connect us to the electricity. It was an hour before she came back, but to be honest it wasn't a problem: we set up the caravan, unloaded the bikes, etc. When the lady came, she wanted to give me an apology beer because we had waited so long for it. I didn't mind that I never saw it, because we could use the hour just as well as with electricity. However, if I promise something like that, I also make sure that it happens. We spent 2 lovely days in peace and quiet and we wanted to leave at 3.30pm on Sunday. My daughter went to reception at 3.000pm to ask for someone to come and read the electricity so that we could leave. The little girl was told that someone would be along shortly. We then waited until 3.30 p.m. for our things to be fully packed and my daughter went there again; then she came back and said that she wouldn't go there again, she wouldn't let herself be pestered. Nor should she. After another quarter of an hour, I just drove to the exit and left my cable reel downstairs. When I went to pay, the lady then really whined at me, saying that she had seen that I was still standing there and when I left, she had now charged the electricity and collected the drum. The whole thing in such an unfriendly tone that I was glad to be gone. When I got home, my daughter told me about the lovely place and two weeks later, when the little one was staying with grandma and grandpa, my wife wanted to go there for the weekend too. So I gritted my teeth, thought that maybe the lady was just having a bad day, and made a reservation. We arrived at 1.15pm on Saturday. The reception was closed and there was a sign saying: Please use the kiosk (or something like that). So we went into the kiosk. It was also closed, but there was a bell. We used it, and about 2 minutes later a little boy who came in also pressed the bell. I assumed that it was lunchtime because the little boy had come in. Shortly after the little boy had rung the doorbell, the door opened and the lady of the house came into the kiosk, clamoring: She wanted to sleep now - she had been woken up - what's this all about....etc.? Ii a really more than inappropriate tone, she scolded the little boy until I was able to say that we had rung the bell too. The tone didn't change and we were asked what we could think of. And whether we had a reservation. When I replied in the affirmative, she continued to rant in the same tone, saying that she would now ask us to wait until the break was over. It slowly became clear to me why the place was once again quite full despite it being high season. Despite having a reservation, we drove to another spot on the Schlei where we got the last free spot. When I think of the fact that my daughter was also treated to such bad language the first time when she asked for someone to come, it makes me feel different. I have nothing against the lady's lunch break: let her have it. But then she can paint a huge sign saying that she is not allowed to ring the doorbell except in emergencies. But even IF someone rings the doorbell: That's not how you get and keep guests. The advantage of the prevailing tone: you should be able to get a seat in the season even without booking in advance.Automatisk oversatt.
- Helmut K.June 2017Positive tingVery scenic and quietNegative tingExtremely unfriendly owners; hot water/dishwater only for a fee;Not a second time ...Stopped off at Hellör on the way to Denmark. - Maria R.June 2017Positive tingwonderful natural location absolute peace and quiet family-run campsite nice, friendly and helpful staff pure relaxationNegative tingHot water for washing up only for a fee no WiFi (2017)Beautifully situated natural campsiteLocation: the family-run Hellör campsite is located directly on the Schlei not far from the Missunde ferry. It is approx. 15 km to Schleswig in the west, approx. 25 km to Kappeln in the east and approx. 15 km to Eckernförde in the south. The site is therefore very centrally located on the Schlei, as... the larger towns can be reached quickly (even Husum on the North Sea is only about 50 km away). The campsite is located in a very rural area and is therefore extremely quiet. The only road ends at the reception, so it is very quiet here (zero traffic noise). Site: The site is essentially divided into two beautiful large meadows, the first of which slopes gently down from the main path right up to the small bathing area and the jetty. The second is a terraced area, which has the advantage that most of the pitches have a view of the Schlei. Another advantage should be important for campers, as the terracing offers surprisingly good protection against the prevailing westerly winds. The individual pitches offer sufficient space for caravans/tents and cars. The respective pitch is usually allocated by the manager, and if there is still enough space available, you can express your wishes, which will then be taken into account. In my case, the suggestion to pitch the tent on the second terrace (protection from the west wind) was spot on. The pitches have an electricity connection up to the large camper meadow. There is a charge of €1.50 for the connection and 60 cents per kWh. A small disadvantage is that there is no WiFi available (2017) and mobile reception is only possible to a limited extent. The sanitary building is kept simple, but in my experience it was always very clean (travel time end of June 2017). Washing machines and dryers are available and can be used for a fee (including detergent). For the hot shower there is a charge of 50 cents per unit (according to my memory for 3 or 3.5 minutes). The charge is made via a so-called water card, which you receive when you check in. The showering process can be interrupted so that the remaining 3.5 minutes can be used to rinse off the soap. Unfortunately, the card must also be used when washing up to get hot water. This is a pity because it is a little inconvenient (insert the card, then hot water flows into a bucket, which you then have to empty in your sink). Hellör has a small kiosk selling the often-cited essential everyday items. A bread roll service can also be ordered in advance, with "real" baked rolls (different varieties) and not the puffed-up blanks you get at the petrol station. Reception and kiosk are open from 8.00 to 12.00 and from 14.30 to 19.00 (Sundays only in the morning). Hellör is also home to some permanent campers. There was no sign of the tense relationship between permanent campers and tourists that is often heard here; on the contrary, there were plenty of opportunities to exchange experiences, tips etc. As this is a family-run campsite, you are generally looked after by the manager, who takes care of everything and is also happy to pass on lots of tips and suggestions for day trips and activities. In other words, in terms of helpfulness and service, a straight 1. Conclusion: if you are looking for peace and quiet in an idyllic landscape, you should definitely visit CP Hellör, which has a personal touch, and enjoy the tranquillity of the Schlei in the morning or evening sun and use it as a starting point for various excursions. The site seems to be very popular, as I found out from conversations with tourists who have been coming here regularly for many years.Automatisk oversatt.
- Heike P.September 2016very quiet !The site is in a very remote location directly on the Schlei. From the upper part of the site you have a very nice view, but a longer walk to the sanitary building. The latter was clean, but it was getting on in years. Hot water is only available with a card, even when washing dishes you have to pay... for the water! Billing with a card is not bad in principle. The only problem is that you are charged in blocks: the first drop is 50 cents, regardless of whether you use the time or not. If you want to explore the surrounding area, you should at least have a bike with you. It's a bit of a hassle on foot ....Automatisk oversatt.

- Erik B.May 2015Positive tingBeautifully located; Quiet site; VERY clean toilet/shower facilities Very friendly staff.Negative tingLack of WifiWell-located quiet spaceLocated at the end of a cul-de-sac - right down to Slien, many of the pitches overlooking the fjord. Lovely green site with grass and large trees. SUPER clean toilet/bathroom facilities. Approx. 20 km to Schleswig; Eckernförde and Kappeln respectively. Good location for trips in the "old Danish country".... VERY friendly and informative staff/owner. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place without 'bouncy castles, swimming pools' and the like. Visited around. Ascension Day 2015Automatisk oversatt.
- Holger S.August 2014It was nice'We stayed at the site with the family in summer 2014. As with the previous speakers, we really liked the site and we had a great view of the Schlei. The owner sometimes comes across as a bit brusque, but perhaps that's due to her Nordic nature. The pitches are not divided up, so every time a new guest... arrives the staff run riot over the pitch, using their hands and feet to determine the pitch. But it's always meant nicely. And there are tips on how best to stand. I had the feeling that the pitches would be allocated differently next month. The site is fully booked in summer, so you should make a reservation. We stood at the end of the site. Behind it is a pasture where there are sometimes cows. When the bull is in heat it can get noisy. Wifi is not available and cell phone reception is also weak. We didn't have enough for internet. Sanitary facilities were always clean. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area. Haitabu, Schleswig with its cathedral and the Viking festival this summer. There is much more to discover in the direction of Kappeln and Flensburg, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time for that, so we'll probably have to come back :-) All in all, this is a lovely, reasonably priced place that I can only recommendAutomatisk oversatt.
