- Zielke K.October 2024Positive tingThe proximity to Aachen and the tranquillity of the Senser Bach. The bus runs to Maastricht every 15 minutes.Negative tingThere was nothing negative.A second visit - another very nice one!The site has changed since our first visit, there are significantly more pitches and there are currently more pitches for motorhomes at the back of the site.
The site is still car-free (for caravan users), which could be reconsidered, as the motorhomes also drive in and out, so the site is no longer... really car-free.
From the reservation to the departure everything was very friendly organized and the place is very well maintained and the great bathhouse impeccably clean.
We felt very comfortable again. Thank you very much!Automatisk oversatt. - Lars P.June 2024Positive tingClose to nature, generously parceled out pitches, new wash house, good location to Aachen, Maastricht and Liège, relaxed site management, old trees all around, close to Vaals (with supermarket and restaurants)Negative tingThere is no kiosk on site, partly unpaved, narrow paths, go-kart track within earshot, no WiFi on the pitchesRelaxed camping in the country triangle, near AachenThe campsite is beautifully situated, slightly off the main road, surrounded by fields and farmland. The access road is paved but narrow. The pitches are generously sized, with electricity, water and waste water on site. There is a meadow for tents without electricity, with benches and tables provided.... Some pitches are under old and tall trees on grass, some pitches have a gravel surface. Not all pitches have a level surface and the driveway wedges must be used. Cars must be parked separately in the parking lot in front of the site. The paths on the site are gravelled and sometimes very narrow. There is a small playground and a recreation room with free WLAN. WLAN reception is not possible at the pitches. There is no store on the site, but there is a bread roll service.
The site impresses with its natural layout and relaxed and friendly site management. An adjacent go-kart track can be heard at the weekend until the evening, but this is bearable as it is not very frequent.
The campsite is ideally located for exploring the region between Aachen and Maastricht. There are good cycling and hiking trails all around. We were just passing through for 2 nights and would love to come back again.Automatisk oversatt. - Klaus-Peter H.August 2019Positive tingRestNegative tingPoor access and informationPityWe had contacted them by telephone. The answer was a warm welcome. But then we were turned away with our 8.60 m long camper van. Too bad we could have saved ourselves the journey.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ute S.June 2019Positive tingQuiet, beautifully situated Proximity to Aachen Cleanliness Dog and family friendly Stream for the dogs to swim in Nature Cycling HikesNegative tingCumbersome bread roll serviceQuiet, well-kept, located by a stream, public transport to Aachen, CHIO accessible by bikeWe were there with our dogs in summer 2019. As we also wanted to visit the CHIO in Aachen, we asked for a place in the shade when we made our reservation so that the caravan wouldn't get so hot. We were assured of this and that's exactly what happened. The site is located directly on the Grenzbach. A... small bridge (for pedestrians and cyclists) leads across - and you are already in Germany. Wonderful cycling tours and hikes are possible from the campsite. Aachen can also be reached by bike on various routes, as well as by public transport. The whole site is beautifully and harmoniously laid out. Campers will find a place under trees with seating areas and tables. There is a very nice playground for children and a sandy area with an awning. We found it very convenient to park our vehicles in front of the site. The sanitary building was always clean and well maintained, as was the scullery. Maps could be purchased at the information desk. Absolutely dog-friendly. We will definitely be back. We found ordering bread rolls online a little awkward. However, the way to the village - by bike - is also only a "stone's throw"Automatisk oversatt.

- Manfred S.June 2018Positive tingNot far from the highway, free choice of pitch, very clean sanitary facilities.Negative tingBread rolls can only be ordered by cell phoneVery good for transitWe stayed at this site on the way there and back to Zootelande. It is in a quiet location and is always recommended for those passing through. On the way back we visited Aachen and Monschau from there, both of which are recommended and the distances are not very great.Automatisk oversatt.
- Rolf M.May 2018Positive tingGood location, good sanitary facilities, friendly reception, German is (also) spoken. There is enough space.Negative tingWhen the farmer fertilizes, you can lose your appetitegood starting point for a visit to AachenWell organized, everything is clean, the site is quiet. The cars stay outside. You have to pay in advance (via the campsite website)Automatisk oversatt.
- leo w.May 2018Positive ting---Negative ting---AachenVery nice place, excellent starting point for sightseeing in Aachen. It is best to drive a few kilometers by car to the P+R Platz Westfriedhof. From there, there are short bus connections (lines 5, 25, 35, 45, 55) to Elisenbrunnen. You can buy a return P+R ticket for up to five people from the driver... for 5 euros. The direct bus connection from Vaals (traffic circle near the campsite) is considerably more expensive. The campsite makes a well-kept impression, but there is little light in the sanitary building due to the dark surfaces. 50 cent coins are required for showering. Therefore one star less. The pitches are large enough, the grass is perfectly mowed, but some pitches are on a slope.Automatisk oversatt.
- Claudia P.May 2018Positive tingQuiet, very large plots,Negative tingyou have to pay the space costs in advancea very quiet campsite with large pitchesWe were there for the Whitsun weekend, no noise from cars as they have to park outside, birds singing, very quiet campers everywhere,Automatisk oversatt.
- Petra W.April 2017Positive tingClose to Aachen - very quietNegative tingsome pitches are difficult to access due to the hillside locationCity trip to AachenWe spent a few nights on this campsite in April 2017 at the start of the camping season - the price is great with an ACSI Card. Very quiet location (only occasionally a passing car on a side road), excellent sanitary building (very clean, well thought-out facilities), several shopping facilities nearby... (only bread service on site in high season). Very good starting point for a city trip to Aachen (P+R Westfriedhof free of charge - bus ticket for up to 5 people). The site is on a slope, which is very noticeable on some pitches - as caravan newbies without a mover, we had to choose the pitch very carefully, because pushing a caravan uphill is a bit difficult :-)) We will definitely be back!Automatisk oversatt.
- Zielke K.April 2017Positive tingThe new sanitary building, the friendly host family and also the location of the site. A 10-minute walk to the Limburgliner bus to Maastricht.Negative tingThe pitches are a bit uneven, nothing else...A great campsite just behind AachenIt was a great weekend stay, we hadn't made a reservation, but that wasn't "yet" necessary on the opening weekend. Not everything had been brought out of hibernation yet, but that was bearable. The new wash house is brilliant, you feel at home as soon as you walk in, spacious, light-flooded washing-up... facilities, a family shower and a bathroom for small children - plus toilets and showers. The Lemiserberg bus stop is about a 10-minute walk from the campsite. Line 350 "the Limburgliner" runs here every 15 minutes(!) to Aachen or Maastricht. With the day ticket for 6 euros/adult incl. 2 children up to 11 years. TOP! The host family was very nice, thank you! Thank you very much for a great weekend, we would love to come back.Automatisk oversatt.
- Michael N.June 2016Positive tingBeautiful natural site, great sanitary building.Negative tingUnfortunately, showering is not included in the basic price.A very nice place. We were on the site for a few days at the end of June 2016.we were received very friendly and were able to choose a place ourselves.there was plenty of space.the lawn makes a good impression.the sanitary building is brand new, absolutely great, and always very clean.the bread service also worked. In a... lounge there is a TV (who needs it) and free wifi.children's toys are also there, and comfortable seating.book corner and brochures of the sights of the area are available.that our towing vehicle should be in the separate parking lot has not bothered us.Automatisk oversatt.
- Annette K.June 2016Positive tingGood location in the border triangleNegative tingPoor access, car not allowed on the pitch, showers too expensiveWell-kept place close to AachenWe stayed at this site for one night on our return journey. The access road is easy to miss as it is very narrow. A camper van came towards us and then had to back up, with our 2.50 m wide trailer there was no way to avoid it. The new sanitary building is beautiful, but the fact that you need 2 times... 50 cents to take a shower is not up to date. In addition, the obligatory parking of the car in a parking lot at the entrance is absolute nonsense. Since we drove to dinner in the evening, we drove back and forth about twice as often as if the car had been parked in the parking lot.Automatisk oversatt.
- Michael G.April 2015Positive tingQuiet location. In beautiful nature. Border triangle D-NL-B.Great location, lots of peace and quietWe spent Easter 2015 on this very cozy site on a former farm. Great location in the border triangle between Aachen, Maastricht and Liège. The Eifel is also not far away, wonderful for hiking and relaxing. You are surrounded by fruit trees and the friendly owners offer regional products made from apples. Free WLAN and a babbling brook round off the good overall impression. New sanitary building.Automatisk oversatt.
- Dirk R.March 2014We were at this campsite on the last weekend of March 2014 to test our new caravan. As the campsite had only been open for a week, there were very few guests, so we had almost the whole campsite to ourselves. There is a large sandpit including scaffolding and sand toys in the middle of the campsite.... There is also a small stream that runs along the edge of the campsite. In the low season you have to take care of your own bread rolls for breakfast and drive to the nearby town. The bread roll service only comes when the campsite is full. P.S.: Even if it's not mentioned in the description, the campsite has free WLAN.Automatisk oversatt.
- Karl K.April 2013We were there for one night, just passing through. That was OK. Very close to Aachen, so you can easily do something from there.Automatisk oversatt.
