- Jacque F.July 2024Positive ting- Great view of the Alabaster Coast as far as Fécamp - Pitches are clean and large enough - Not primarily a family destination so it is very quiet - Bread roll service - Yport within walking distance - uncomplicated and quite anonymous - Hospitality noticeable [if you speak French ;-)] - really great areaNegative ting- Severe sloping despite wheel chocks - Old wash houses absolutely unhygienic (!!!) - Only three showers in the new sanitary area; these are small, dark and more or less outside so that there is a draught from below - Quite loud through traffic due to motorhomes driving up the slope in first gear [no rest periods] - No toilet paper - The hedges could have been trimmed. then the view would have been even betterQuiet place with a great view! It's a really nice place to stay, whether you're just passing through or staying for a week, if you can put up with the clean but rather poor sanitary facilities for the view. Yport is very cozy and you can get anywhere quickly from there (Fecamp, Etretat, Le Havre or Honfleur). An insider tip is the beach in Vacouttes (5 minutes by car from the campsite).Automatisk oversatt.
- Thomas G.July 2023Positive tingthe location above the village and the cliffsNegative tingfor us noLe Rivage - Yport a quiet spot on earthWe felt very comfortable here. The sanitary facilities were fine for this standard and always clean. The most beautiful thing is really the location of the campsite, when you can look out over the sea with the tides and the cliffs while washing the dishes.
There is a very small grocery store in reception with a very limited range of products, but the morning baguette made to order worked wonderfully.Automatisk oversatt. - Udo S.August 2021Positive tingProximity to the village and rocksNegative tingShowers only lukewarm, WiFi not found. Cleanliness moderateoptimal place for etretatThe location to the village and the impressive cliffs is ideal, everything can be reached on foot. Sanitary facilities old and not very well maintained, showers only lukewarm in the cool weather, not nice. But quiet.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jörg J.August 2021Positive tingGreat location, friendly staff, well-kept pitches, magnificent view from many pitches and from the terraceNegative tingNoneBeautiful campsite with an ingenious locationWe felt at home at the campsite. The view is simply brilliant. Our wishes for a nice pitch were catered for.
A hike to Etretat is recommended and you can admire the evening sunsets after a short walk.
The sanitary facilities are simple but clean.
The path to the village is quite short, but extremely steep.
In July and August, baguettes are available to order at reception.Automatisk oversatt. - Stefan T.August 2019Positive tingLocation and viewCampsite with a great viewFirst time in Normandy and then at Le Rivage campsite. The location of the campsite is very nice. You have a great view of Yport, the coast and the sea from most of the pitches. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated but still clean. As the campsite is on a slope, you should be good on foot as the ascent... and therefore the descent into the village is very steep. Yport is a good starting point for exploring the surrounding area. The staff at the campsite are very friendly. The upper pitches are a bit narrow. We had a very good rest.Automatisk oversatt.
- Christel M.June 2019Positive tingPlace in a beautiful locationNegative tingNo bread in the squarePlace in a fantastic locationThis is a campsite in a beautiful location with a view of the beach and cliffs. Laid out in terraces. It is situated at the top of the hill, so the path to the village/beach is quite steep with steps. There are 3 sanitary buildings, one of which consists of containers. Too small for showering. But a... few steps down the next wash house is big enough. Unfortunately there is no fresh bread on site (don't know what it looks like in high season), then the way to get bread is quite long/steep. Good and free W-Lan limited to 2 devicesAutomatisk oversatt.
- Martin M.August 2018Positive tinglocation nice operatorsNegative tingFar too few sanitary facilities, long distances! Many large vansGreat location above the city, but bad sanitary situation!Very nice location, nice operators, but you have to walk for ages to the few sanitary facilities. One additional one was even in a container, which was not pleasant. At night it's pitch dark in the upper row, so if you have to go to the loo, you're not to be envied. Pitches good, but far too many giant womos for us.Automatisk oversatt.
- C. G.July 2018Positive tingLocation, view, originality of the place, steep coastNegative tingSeats "above" somewhat small.Great location with a view of Yport. Small, picturesque villageLocated directly on great coastal paths. Yport original and with a few delicious restaurantsAutomatisk oversatt.
- K.A. K.July 2018Positive tinggreat view, beautiful location, very quietNegative tingWLAN is quite expensiveBeautiful terraced campsiteCampsite situated on a slope with roads equipped with pitches on one side, the town and I the beach are within easy walking distance, but sometimes quite steep, the edge of the cliffs can be reached within 5 minutes on footAutomatisk oversatt.
- Martina B.September 2017Positive tingWonderful location above Yport, very friendly welcome, clean sanitary facilitiesNegative tingThe distances to the sanitary facilities are very longPassing throughOn our way back from Brittany, we stayed at this campsite for a few more days. The location is great, you have a great view of the sea, Yport and Fecamp. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The paths to the sanitary facilities are very long if you are in the top row like us. The wash house next... to reception and the wash container on the middle level are very clean. Our overnight stay turned into 4 days, which we used to get to know Yport and take a walk along the cliffs on the beach. It is also worth sitting on the small terrace at the reception in the evening and enjoying the view over the sea to Fecamp.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jan R.July 2017Positive tingView and clean facility with friendly staffNegative tingMaybe the location, but the view makes up for everythingGreat place and great viewGreat place with a great view of Yport. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy but not always very close due to the terraced nature of the site :-DAutomatisk oversatt.
- Jürgen P.June 2017Positive tingTop location on the cliffs. Clean and inexpensive. Yport is a pleasant place with every infrastructure for campers. Better than Fécamp.Negative tingHardly any. Only: the paths from the village to the campsite are very steep.Rarely experienced something so beautifulI've been traveling as a camper for 30 years - also a lot in France. But I have rarely experienced such a great campsite. Clean, quiet - and above all with a sensational location right on the alabaster cliffs. Compared to the hustle and bustle of Fécamp and touristy Etretat, Yport is a sweet, friendly... place. The campsite is laid out in terraces and is equally suitable for motorhomes and tents. The mobile homes are clean and functional. Free Wi-Fi is available at the reception building, but you have to pay for it on the rest of the site. The staff are friendly and the sanitary facilities are simple and clean. The GR 21 long-distance hiking trail (along the cliffs) passes right by the campsite. In Yport there is a bakery, butcher, small supermarket. Tourist information and bars/restaurants. Note: The paths from the village up to the campsite are very steep, you need a lot of energy. In addition to Camping Le Rivage, there is another municipal campsite (La Pature), which is simpler and does not offer the great view of Yport Bay and the chalk cliffs. Conclusion: Camping Le Rivage and Yport - rarely good.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hartmut B.June 2017Positive tingGood starting point for day trips by bike or car. Quick access to Fecamp and Etritat. Large pitches.Negative tingPartly long distances to the sanitary facilities. Some of the pitches are very sloping, nothing works without wedges. Only partial electricity available. In the countrysideLarge campsite, mainly on grass. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities are too small for the number of tents and camper vans. Friendly staff. Nice day trips to Fecamp or Etritat can be undertaken from this campsite. Shopping is possible near the campsite. Also suitable for several days.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ralf S.August 2016Positive tingLocation and viewVery nicely located place, sanitary surprisingly usableWe spent 9 days in the high season on this busy site and have no complaints at all. The operators were very friendly and took good care of their guests. The site is in a fantastic location and we were able to explore many interesting destinations in the surrounding area from here. The sanitary facilities... are a bit cramped and not necessarily plentiful, but despite the high season they were always clean and I never had to wait. I can't understand all the extremely negative reviews of the sanitary facilities. I've seen dirtier and therefore less usable sanitary facilities at good campsites in Germany. It's usually up to the campers how they leave the toilets anyway.Automatisk oversatt.
- Dörte L.July 2016Positive tingVery quiet, great view, uncomplicated choice of pitch.Negative tingVery simple furnishings.Fantastic view, romantic and originalWe used the site for a stopover on the way to Brittany. Practical as we arrived late and you can just pitch up somewhere and report to reception the next day. Almost exclusively pitches without electricity, so lots of tents. Laid out in terraces with a fantastic view towards the sea. Sanitary building not exactly inviting, but the showers were clean early in the morning. There was also fresh baguette.Automatisk oversatt.
- Peter W.June 2015Positive tingSea view, quiet, short walk to the village, very good price-performance ratioNegative tingSimple sanitary facilities, not very easy access,Perfect viewThe site is terraced over the village. You have a clear view of the sea from almost every pitch. You can choose your own pitch. The sanitary facilities are of a simple standard. There is a container (where at least the water is warm for showers) and a sanitary building (without separation by gender,... where I had cold water for showers). The cleaning was okay. However, the paths to the sanitary building are not always short and even. You can order baguettes for the next morning at reception. The approach through the village (especially with a large trailer) is not easy. But this is probably also true for many other campsites in France.Automatisk oversatt.
- Klaus-Peter F.June 2015Positive tingBeautiful location, high above Yport, a lovely village and a nice promenade.Negative tingAccess through the narrow village can be problematic for large vehicles.Great locationThe location of the place is beautiful and was not to beat.but long ways to the toilet and shower.in bathrobe and car to shower and toilet disposal. No bread service, 500 m steep path to the village. Electricity connection far away and water too.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hermann Z.April 2015Positive tingLocation and sea view.Negative tingNo bread service, poor condition of the sanitary facilities.Great sea viewWas there in the low season. Price with ACSI card ok. Sea view and size of the pitches very good. Unfortunately no shopping facilities. The condition of the sanitary facilities could be improved. Ideal starting point for hikes along the cliffs.Automatisk oversatt.
- Robert S.April 2015Positive tingLocationNegative tingSanitary facilities ApproachVery nice location, but that's itDifficult approach. Fantastic view over the city and coast. The facilities are in need of renovation. Sanitary facilities in short supply.Automatisk oversatt.
- Anita Z.August 2014Positive tinggreat location above the cliffs with a great view over the chalk cliffs and the seaNegative tingtotally dirty, outdated sanitary facilities an imposition even for a 2-star placevery dirty, bad accessAccess via the village is impossible with a larger caravan and is only possible via the other side via narrow tarred country lanes. No turning possibility at the site. Great location above the cliffs, but that's all. After visiting the sanitary facilities, we left straight away. Extremely dirty although the pitch was only poorly occupied. Only container toilet available.Automatisk oversatt.
