A great vacation
A cozy, small place directly on the lake. Most of the lake is surrounded by forest.
The site is in a quiet location, there are shops in the village and various restaurants - all within walking distance. The surrounding area invites you to stroll and explore. The lake is wonderful for swimming or boat... trips, rowing and pedal boats are available. There is a bathing beach and several access points for swimming.
The site has clean sanitary facilities and offers everything you need, including a washing machine/dryer, WLAN, kiosk and a small restaurant.

Small place, little hustle and bustle, peace and quiet and absolute friendliness. Directly on the lake.

No bread roll service. Somewhat outdated.
Small, informal, a little outdated, but very clean
A wonderful little campsite. It's getting on in years and could do with some renovation, but as it's always clean and tidy, that doesn't bother us too much.
Located directly on the lake, with lake access.
Dogs are allowed, on a lead of course.
The few pitches make it idyllic and informal. We prefer this... to anonymous giant campsites.
The owners are "awesome" to match the lake, super friendly, funny, always helpful and always up for a chat.
Silke and Eberhard serve delicious schnitzel or currywurst for dinner.
The pitches are a bit uneven, but with wedges it works quite well.
There is a nice circular path by the lake. There is a supermarket, a few restaurants and ice cream parlors in Bodenwöhr.
A little further from the campsite is a lakeside resort with attractions for children, pedal boats for hire, stand-up paddles etc.
We love coming here.

In a nutshell. Everything was great and we felt comfortable there. The only drawback is that there are no shady pitches. Otherwise the price/performance was great!

Highly recommended
We received a very nice and warm welcome even without a reservation. The campsite is rather small and manageable but very clean! The sanitary facilities are also very clean, the showers and washrooms are a bit older, but you can tell that they are constantly being renovated. The location on the lake... is also very nice. There is a very mixed crowd on the site, many families and also older people. There is also a kiosk with drinks, ice cream and a small selection of food. All in all, the atmosphere is very informal, even if you come as a stranger! Highly recommended by us and we would love to come back :)

Under new management since 2012! The tenants are great, many things have already been improved: sanitary facilities, kiosk, recreation room, etc. We have been permanent campers there for over 20 years and feel really at home there again! We are already looking forward to the 2013 season!
