- Christine Z.August 2023Positive tingShady seats in a pine grove. Super pizzas. Playground in the shade. Sanitary area renovated and always clean. Small campsite, quiet and without animation and pool. I approve of this in view of the water shortage and the proximity to the sea.Negative tingAccess to beautiful beach temporarily closed due to risk of forest fires in summer. But that's not the operator's fault!Beautiful campsite in a great locationWe had a wonderful time on the Giens peninsula. The sandy beach between the peninsula and the mainland is highly recommended if access to the beach in the nature reserve is closed. Otherwise, the sandy beach further back is perfectly adequate and you can even swim from there to the nearby island.
I would... go there again at any time!
We tried to hike through the nature park. This is actually not recommended in high summer as there is hardly any access to the sea where you can cool off. It is very hot, but the view from the cliffs is breathtaking. It is certainly more pleasant in the low season.Automatisk oversatt. - Heiko S.August 2023Positive tingModern and very clean sanitary facilitiesNegative tingSmall pitchesPlace in beautiful surroundingsOur pitch for caravans was interspersed with large roots; due to its location against a wall, it was also difficult to position it in such a way that we could set up our awning; due to the circumstances, we only succeeded with outside help and a lot of maneuvering; it was also not possible to park the... car on our pitch; overall very small pitches on our "floor".
On the other hand, we liked the sanitary facilities. Restaurant with a small but fine selection. Some dishes (pizza, burgers) also available to pick up. Surroundings at the end of the peninsula very beautiful; we can highly recommend the hike along the coast with small bays to freshen up; however, mainly gravel and of course without maintenance of the beaches; the two long sandy beaches along the headland are great; to get there a mobile vehicle is necessary...
We also liked the restaurants, which are within walking distance near the small harbor.
All in all, a lovely place in a great setting.Automatisk oversatt. - Frank W.April 2022Positive tingAlmost continuously shaded pitches Very friendly staff Top sanitary facilities Relatively quiet placeNegative tingLittle space for people arriving before registration.Shady little paradiseBeautifully situated pitch in a shady pine forest at the end of the peninsula. Although it was only April, the campsite filled up quickly during our 5-day stay before Easter and was as good as fully booked when we left on Easter Sunday. Nevertheless, it was relatively quiet the whole time. The terraced... pitches are quite level, the many trees offer space for hammocks and the operator supplies the electricity. For fresh water, our pitch required a short walk to the sanitary facilities. As the sunny weather continued until it reached 25°C, the first mosquitoes appeared, but there were very few of them.
All the staff at reception, in the restaurant or in the store were very friendly and all services were available. No overpriced prices in the store, pre-ordering of baguettes etc. possible, but it was also possible without. The restaurant offers average quality, absolutely OK for a campsite.
The sanitary facilities are centrally located at the reception and were always in very clean condition and have apparently been recently renovated and extended. Men and women share the facilities.
There are small sandy beaches just a few minutes north of the campsite, as well as countless paths and the beautiful cliff path along the coast.
There are no cycle paths along the access road, only from Giens in the direction of Hyeres, so you have to cycle on the normal road.
We don't remember any disadvantages worth mentioning, except that there is little space for parking for those arriving and the entrance/exit can be blocked for a short time if there are many arrivals in the afternoon/evening.Automatisk oversatt. - Günter J.September 2021Positive tingsee "Comment"Negative tingDogs are tolerated!Cozy campsite on the Giens peninsulaVery friendly staff, helpful in planning excursions or hikes, toilets, bathrooms and showers always clean - without closures at peak times, as is often the case! Small nice store with the most important items; extremely quiet, ACSI card accepted (2012: 20,- E incl. electricity and shower).Automatisk oversatt.
- Bianka B.July 2019Positive tingbeautiful location, quiet, many excursion possibilities,Negative tingstony beach, narrow pitchesNice little campsiteWe spent our summer vacation here and took very nice impressions home with us. The site is manageable, there are many small pitches and only a few larger ones. Most of the guests here were in tents. The pitches are quite narrow for larger vehicles, we had little space. For this reason, we were unable... to set up a sun awning or awning. However, the site is mostly shady. The road to the campsite is also very narrow in places and access to the pitches is tight. The sanitary building is modern and fairly new, there are plenty of showers and they are included in the price. It was mostly clean. There is a shop, a small restaurant and play facilities for children. You can find peace and relaxation here. The staff are friendly and helpful, some of them speak German. The beach is within walking distance, but very stony. You can take a walk around the island from the campsite - we can only recommend it. Otherwise, there are many other leisure activities and excursion destinations in the area. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jürgen W.June 2018Positive tingProximity to the sea and sanitary facilitiesNegative tingNoneVery nice campsite on the MediterraneanVery nice, shady campsite very close to two beautiful bays. The sanitary facilities are excellent and probably brand new. We also really enjoyed the hiking trail along the coast. All in all, a highly recommended campsite that we would gladly return to. The campsite actually has one star too few.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jörg B.September 2017Positive ting-Quiet -Pitches with natural shade -Very friendly ladies in reception, market and restaurant. -Beautiful coastal footpathNegative ting-Some showers with black mold -Walking toilets old and smellyPeace and relaxation under pine and eucalyptus treesThe campsite is located at the western end of the Giens peninsula. Most of the campers came from Germany. Pine trees and eucalypts provide plenty of shade. The pitches vary greatly in size. From small tent size to 12x4 meters. Just as nature allows. Small playground, no entertainment. Small supermarket... on site with delicious baguettes and croissants etc. Restaurant with good, substantial food and pizza to take away. Very friendly staff. Sanitary facilities simple but clean. The standing toilets should be abolished as they are avoided by the guests. Charcoal barbecue, candles and putting out cigarettes on the ground prohibited due to risk of forest fire. Reservations are often necessary, as free places are already occupied early in the morning. Two small beaches within walking distance. The large beaches are easy to reach by bike. The counter-clockwise coastal footpath from the campsite is highly recommended. There are two wonderful bays on the last stretch (take a snorkeling set!). We really enjoyed the markets in 1. La Capte, 2. Port d'Hyères, 3. Giens.Automatisk oversatt.
- Andreas und Petra S.May 2017Under pine and eucalyptus treesMedium-sized site with around 100 pitches and mature trees that provide plenty of shade. In the low season at the beginning of May, we found the site pleasantly quiet, but only a quarter of the pitches were occupied. No pool, you can only hear the road from time to time. Friendly reception and English... is not a problem. There is free choice of pitch. The ground consists of earth with gravel and what falls from the trees. Barbecues are understandably not allowed. There is also a restaurant in the reception area, as well as a small, well-stocked supermarket. The unisex wash houses have squat toilets and sitting toilets with glasses, you should bring your own paper. Water taps are scarce. Wifi costs 4,-/day. The stony beach is about 400m away through a beautiful pine forest. A circular walk of about 7km (3 hours), which mostly runs along the coast, is recommended. Sturdy footwear is essential.Automatisk oversatt.
- Michael B.May 2016Positive tingFriendly Well organized Hot water Clean sanitary facilities Very shady Quiet Centrally located Very nice surroundings Close to the beachNegative tingVery shady Gray ground, hardly any grass No viewRight next to the nature reserveWe were at Whitsun and had booked in advance. We got two good pitches next to each other with a family friend. The pitch is less suitable for larger mobile homes and caravans as the access road is narrow and steep. If you come at the weekend you are unlucky if the access road is still fully parked, although... the police are constantly handing out parking tickets. The road ends there and many people want to go to the small beach, but it was never overcrowded. Nevertheless, two other friendly parties with caravans with a total length of over 8 meters came to the site, but one of them had a smoking clutch. Sanitary very clean and always hot water, so hot that you even had to turn it down a bit. All available facilities very good. Ideal for people with camper vans and tents, parents with small children. The beach is rocky, good for diving with a snorkel. The beach is not suitable for small children who want to go into the water on their own, you have to go to another beach for that. The water is very clean. Campsite very shady due to the trees, no sunbathing areas. Ground very stony, almost no grass. Perhaps also due to the fact that there was little rain in winter. Few mosquitoes.Automatisk oversatt.

- NIKA N.September 2010Camping very pleasant, beautifully located, a pity that it is not by the sea - you have to walk about 400m through the forest. The beach on the side of the campground is pebbled. The slopes of the rocks provide super views. Nearby 1.1km sandy beach, where you could see the surfers' craziness. Super camping for a holiday!Automatisk oversatt.
- Monika S.July 2010Very quiet apart from the chirping of the crickets, as it is the last one on the peninsula, where the nature reserve begins and the road ends. Small bathing bay within walking distance, a bicycle is sufficient for the larger beaches. However, the nearest supermarket is 8 km away, but you can get the... essentials in the small store on site.no animation, no pool, correspondingly quiet. The sanitary facilities were fine, but the water in the washbasins and sinks was only ever lukewarm.Automatisk oversatt.
