"For 1or2 nights it goes - We were on the site in 2019 for trips to the Amalfi Coast, the location of the site was great and the friendliness of the groundskeeper extremely open-minded, from our pitch we had a direct view of the open sea, the sink directly on the pitch was also very original and useful, but as I said for 1 or 2 nights ok or as a transit.

"Good location right by the sea - The site is right by the sea, there are beautiful pitches directly above the beach! Some of the pitches further back have mat roofs; many pitches have a sink for washing up! The operators are very friendly! The sanitary buildings are very old, sometimes not usable at all; have blind mirrors; broken towel rails or shelves....and one was not cleaned at all during our stay....but you have to pay 50 cents for hot water showers! You can buy a few small things in the store (located in the restaurant) and the small restaurant serves a few dishes! Not exciting! During the day there is aircraft noise - landings and take-offs - directly over the square.... The beach is quite nice; there are miles of sandy beach - you can sometimes hear disco noise from the side beaches! Some day visitors to the beach also walk directly over the campsite!

"Beautifully located place, sanitary unkempt (stay June 2017 + June 2019) - The sanitary facilities were scarce and very modest. But the location (view over the sea to the Amalfi Coast) is great. The staff were very friendly, but couldn't help the hellish noise coming from a neighboring disco on Saturday night (until 4:00 am!). The sanitary facilities seem to be being extended, which is necessary. 3 working showers are a bit few for a site of this size. The restaurant was unfortunately still closed in June, the pizza, which came via a delivery service, was bad. Addition from June 2019: The opinion that the sanitary facilities were being expanded or renovated was probably only partially correct. In addition to 3 paid showers, 2 free showers were in operation in June 2019, but did not provide hot water every day. After complaining, it took 2 days until a repair was noticeable. The sanitary facilities were in a poor state of care and maintenance. A non-functioning flush was not repaired despite being pointed out.

"Simple but great for excursions - We stayed at CP Salerno for 5 nights in mid-May and made our excursions from there every day. It is a simple, family-run campsite with a very, very friendly and above all helpful family. Pasquale (son) speaks English and shows you the free pitches. These are large enough in the low season if you don't want to be right next to the fence to the sea. Beautiful sandy beach and great sea. 2 wash houses, one of which has already been renovated and was always clean. Showers are simple, but there is always hot water (free of charge). The snack bar was not yet open, but pizza was ordered on request, which was then served in the bar on a plate with cutlery, which I thought was really great. The bottle of white wine for €6 was good and cheap. The boss Alfonso is always out and about in the evenings and has time for everyone. He tries to solve any problems immediately. Unfortunately, Alfonso only speaks Italian. Sufficient WLAN (free) and electricity available. We spent 5 wonderful days, thank you Alfonso.

"Relaxing short vacation - Very friendly atmosphere, ideal for rally trips, small pitches but with washing facilities, hot shower included in the price-otherwise unfortunately no hot water, very inexpensive-carnet is recognized-in April 20€2P/WW/car

"Fantastic view of the Amalfi coast - The site is right by the sea and is open all year round. The sanitary facilities and the whole site are a bit outdated but very clean (5 campers in October). Unfortunately you only have hot water for showers (for a fee). I can't say anything about the bar, pizzeria and mini market. The beach would be cleaner if the Italians knew why the buckets were there. The staff are very nice and speak English. Shopping facilities are available in Pontecagnano (Lidl)

Camping Salerno is located in Pontecagnano, on the south coast of Salerno, just a few kilometres from Paestum and the Amalfi Coast. Our campsite offers pitches for camper vans and guarded parking for caravans, and tents. The campsite is located …directly on the sea, where you can find our beach with fine sand. The structure are very well maintained, bathrooms and showers with hot water, pitches with everything you need for parking, decent size with individual sinks. We are very close to the beach, pets are allowed. We are strategically located in Salerno in the coastal zone, just a few kilometres from the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi, Ravello and Positano. We are also close to Paestum, Salerno, Pompeii. Learn more about the advantages and features of our pitches: -Artificially shaded -Equipped with electrical connection max. 10 A -Washing basin for washing dishes -By the sea -Near the toilets For those who wish, it is possible to have an umbrella and a deckchair. The bar serves breakfast in the morning and snacks during the day. On hot summer days you can also enjoy something cool. Adjacent to the bar is the restaurant, which serves typical Campanian cuisine. For those who prefer, it is also possible to book half board. Your animal friends are welcome at Camping Salerno, they too will enjoy our pitches and green areas. In July and August we organise an entertainment programme for children, teenagers and adults.
