- Birgit B.June 2024Positive ting- friendly, uncomplicated reception - very quiet and tranquil - Büsum within cycling distanceNegative ting- Sanitary area and kitchen outdated, but completely sufficient and clean for usSmall, quiet place directly on the dikeThis place is an oasis of peace. No road or railroad noise. Just walk up the dyke and see if the water and the sheep are still there.
The site is simply equipped, but it was enough for us. We paid €30 per night in the low season. We were satisfied.Automatisk oversatt. - Andreas L.August 2023Positive tingThe location by the seaNegative tingFilling up with water costs extra. Discharging gray water is not possible. EXPENSIVE!Impossible! We stayed at this campsite in August 2023. 2 nights. Before the 3rd night we were expelled from the site. Reason: they were peeing on the pitch. Children could step in it (urine! Not excrement, we always remove it with bags), whether we had any children (we have 3 adult children and a grandson). And... above all, they shout and don't talk.
Filling the water tank costs extra and draining gray water is not possible. And that for 38.50 euros per night (including our two small dogs).
Never experienced anything like it. Disgusting!Automatisk oversatt. - Simon B.August 2022Positive tingLocation is beautifulNegative tingPrice-performance ratio is poor. Price twice as high as 2020DisappointedThe price is almost a bit outrageous! Nothing has changed in the facilities but the price is now at a 4 star campsite and even those are partly cheaper. Sanitary old! Like 2 years ago where the price was appropriate to the facilities. There is no toilet paper. Too bad we always liked it here. But if... I now pay more without children than 2 years ago with and nothing has been renovated then something is wrong. Schade was always nice. And the older ladies who run the place are very nice. At least that has remained.Automatisk oversatt.

You should avoid such businesses.Automatisk oversatt. - Uli W.July 2019Positive tingLocation, quiet, friendly operatorsNegative tingSanitary facilities, dogs only little free space to let off steamQuiet, secluded placeThe manageable site, which is occupied by a few quiet and friendly permanent campers, is located directly on the dyke, very quiet and almost secluded despite its proximity to the town. The older but very friendly owner couple was communicative, the small pub on the site does not offer much to buy except... drinks, but there is a bread service on the site. With the bike you can reach many places, otherwise you are already dependent on the car for leisure activities in the further distance. Sanitary facilities were already getting on in years, whether the older couple will treat themselves to a renovation is questionable. The choice of pitch was uncomplicated, there are no plots.Automatisk oversatt.
- Michael K.June 2018Positive tingVery nicely situated in the countryside. Nice restaurant with delicious food and cake for the visit without overnight stay on the site very good!Negative tingSenior place - without wanting to offend the young-at-heart seniors - with little to no tolerance!Campsite only for seniors who go to bed with the chickensThe campsite is beautifully situated directly behind the dyke. Apart from the small restaurant - very good food - there is only pure nature. Unfortunately, the site is only suitable for senior citizens who want to get up and go to bed with the chickens! Even quiet conversation and listening to soft music... is not tolerated by the permanent campers there after 22:00! You also have to teach your dog to bark quietly after 22:00 ;-) Even during the day you should go on or behind the dike to make a phone call, otherwise you have to expect to be asked by the permanent campers with rude words to make a phone call somewhere else! We have never experienced anything like this anywhere else. So, if you want to make such experiences, this campsite is absolutely recommended ;-)Automatisk oversatt.
- Jodocus J.July 2016Positive tingQuiet location - green beach on the dyke - reasonably pricedNegative tingPoor supply - outdated sanitary facilities - very simple food on offer in the restaurantQuiet location behind the dike - old sanitary building - modest restaurantThe Seeschwalbe campsite is in a very quiet location directly on the North Sea dyke; the tourist pitches are generally separated from the permanent campers, but cyclists with tents and campers with motorhomes are sometimes accommodated in the permanent campers' area. If you are expecting good facilities,... you are in the wrong place here; apart from an ordering service for bread rolls and a very, very modest offer from the "restaurant", there is nothing, although supermarkets of all kinds can be found about 5 km away in Büsum. The sanitary facilities are definitely no longer up to date and often not clean either; why there are glass blocks in the partition wall from the women's WC side to the men's showers is a mystery to me ;-). This site is for campers who like it very quiet, enjoy walking along the dyke and don't have high expectations of the facilities.Automatisk oversatt.
- Björn F.August 2015Positive tingQuiet, directly on the beach, inexpensive, friendly staff, cleanNegative tingOutdated sanitary facilities, no kitchenNice quiet place with old sanitary facilitiesWe happened to be there because we were instructed in Büsum. We couldn't find out who runs the site, but we were treated in an extremely friendly manner. Be careful during long periods of rain, the grass is extremely soft. Parts of the site were closed due to the soft ground. The sanitary facilities... are outdated, partly dirty and moldy but they work. Showers are included. The site is not very suitable for tents. There are no hot plates or fridges. It is nice and quiet and the permanent campers are very friendly. The typical German North Sea beach (meadow) is free of charge and was never overcrowded. Swimming in the sense is not possible as there is never enough water to stand belly high in the water. We walked to Büsum - about 30 minutes - always along the water, went wonderfully. All in all, a good place if you have access to your own sanitary facilities and kitchen.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jörg/Mandy E.July 2015Positive tingWell on the North SeaRatingWere there for the 2nd time, always find it nice to stay on this small place. Friendly staff, sanitary facilities a bit outdated but always clean!!! Highly recommended for campers looking for peace and relaxation.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hans-Jürgen W.July 2012We stayed at this campsite in July 2012 and were unfortunately forced to stay there for 2 days due to a car problem. The place is not good at all, everything is outdated and as we noticed it has been that way for a long time. In the play area for children (whatever you want to call it), there was dog... excrement, broken glass, leftover food etc., which was not removed even in the 2 days we were there (it was a weekend). The groundsman or whatever this gentleman wants to be called, looked at it but didn't remove it, mumbled something into his non-existent beard and went into his caravan and just said casually, please go to the owner! But the owner couldn't see it (because he is blind), so the owner...? The sanitary area is not good at all, I have to say. Everything there is just OLD and DEFECTIVE and DIRTY. Some people talk themselves up about it here too. We have also heard that some permanent campers will be taking down their tents there this year. We can fully understand them. Our conclusion: "This campsite needs a check-up" would be appropriate, we cannot and will not recommend this campsite to others, thank you very much.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hans-Ulrich F.August 2011The site is in a wonderfully quiet location directly behind the dyke. You can hardly hear the neighboring vacation home development. In addition to parceled-out pitches, there is also a large meadow where you can find your own pitch. There is no entertainment and only a small playground. The operators... are friendly and the permanent campers are also open-minded. The only drawback of this site is the sanitary facilities. They are old, cramped and are only cleaned twice a week at most. If you can live with this or use your own sanitary facilities in your caravan or mobile home, this is the ideal place for you.Automatisk oversatt.
- Johann G.June 2011The location is nice and quiet, right on the dike. Sanitary simple and old. Access complicated and narrow to barely passable for larger vehicles. The restaurant is more of a primitive daytime cafe with a modest menu and closes at 18:00. The cafe operator is supposedly giving up at the end of the 2011... season. The groundsman charged 2 x 2 € for plugging in and unplugging electricity, in addition to the electricity costs! Otherwise reasonably priced (no tourist tax due) and you can get to Büsum quickly.Automatisk oversatt.
- Frank M.May 2011Positive tingLocation(watch tides),good price,no plots.Negative tingWhen it comes to sanitary cleaning, you probably rely on the camper.....,shower times.Unparceled pitch with wild rabbits, pheasants, ....!!!Friendly place operator, friendly bistro operator, good location on the dike, store, walking along the dike is beautiful.Automatisk oversatt.
