- Tatjana M.August 2020Positive tingvery beautiful area next to the gauja river. entertainment park across the street. a rabbit lives on the property. still planning to come there.Negative tingThere are only two showers, but surprisingly there was no queue. motorhome parking is not marked and therefore everyone parks chaotically.a family with a teenager.Sigulda is a very beautiful town. it is worth visiting and the camping is also worth it. there is a lot to do for children and adults. we bought a canoe launch right in the camping and in the morning we were taken to the place. we got in the canoe and went along the river, after 5 hours we arrived right at the camping.Automatisk oversatt.
- C. M.August 2019Positive tingDirectly on the river, hiking and mountain bike trails nearbyNegative tingSteep ascent to the town of Sigulda, where there are shops and restaurants. There are not many suitable pitches for caravansSituated directly on the River Gauja below the town of Sigulda, this site is mainly a base camp for canoeists. There are not enough sanitary facilities when the site is full. The pitches are less suitable for caravans and better for motorhomes.Automatisk oversatt.
- Johannes B.August 2015Positive tingLocation directly on the river, close to Turaida Castle (approx. 2 km)Negative tingNo supplyCanoe siteVery friendly, English-speaking staff are also happy to help you explore the area with maps and explanations. The site is located directly on the riverbank and is therefore frequented by many canoeists. The sanitary facilities in the reception building and next door were very clean and adequate during... our stay. The site is ideal for exploring the nearby open-air museum with Turaida Castle. Unfortunately, there are no facilities on site, but otherwise we would recommend it.Automatisk oversatt.
- Frank-Helmut W.August 2013A meadow next to trees near the banks of the Gauja (good bathing opportunity). Next to it is an asphalted parking lot, which serves as a parking lot for camper vans and caravans as well as day visitors; therefore overcrowded in summer and at weekends. The day visitors cause a lot of disturbance, especially... for campers with tents. The site is not closed, but accessible to everyone. Sanitary facilities too scarce and only moderately clean. On the other side of the road is an amusement park with a summer toboggan run and other attractions. The staff are very friendly and very (!) helpful. English is spoken.Automatisk oversatt.
