- Tommy W.July 2024Positive tingThe sanitary area was clean, the designated pitch was also fine with shade. The view in the front row is really nice.Negative tingYou can live with the directly adjacent hiking trail. Limited pool times in hot periods very questionable. Large building site currently under construction behind the pool. The football/basketball court cannot be used.very disappointing!Disco music until 4:30am! Unfortunately, we had already paid for a front row paradise spot in anticipation of a family vacation close to nature.
Alternative offer of a place in the back row or a change to Venice, neither of which was an alternative for us.
Baia-Holiday was not prepared to find a compromise.... The money is gone. Although the pitch was demonstrably re-let afterwards. Electricity, water and tourist tax even withheld.
Billed twice. I am so disappointed!
Bottom line:
Big disappointment in the treatment by the Baia-Holiday company. The campsite was OK, but loud disco music, which is not pointed out, also no indication that sports and bathing facilities are clearly limited. Under the circumstances mentioned, the highest price was charged and no willingness to compromise if it didn't suit.
I advise against it!
The problem seems to have existed for some time. Unfortunately, I have not read the reviews sufficiently.
In my opinion, the previous negative reviews have not led to any improvement.Automatisk oversatt. - Claudia W.May 2024Positive tingBeautiful view of the sea. Rilke coastal path Proximity to TriesteNegative tingThe seats with a view are very expensiveBeautiful viewsThe site is located directly on the cliffs overlooking the Gulf of Trieste. However, the pitches with a sea view are very expensive. It's nice to take a walk along the Rilke path to Duino Castle. The bus stop is right in front of the campsite. This means you can travel to Trieste or Miramare by public... transport. Tickets can be bought at the campsite.
There is a pool for swimming, but it wasn't open, and a shuttle service to the pebble beach at Sistiana. I didn't like it that much.
There is a small store and a café with a great view where you can also eat.Automatisk oversatt. - ilse z.September 2022Positive tingPool, restaurant, supermarket, clean sanitary facilities, free choice of pitchesNegative ting---Italy in SeptemberBeautifully situated campsite above a bathing bay with its own "train", large pool with restaurant and wonderful view as far as Trieste and Miramare Castle, sanitary facilities cleaned several times a day. Staff friendly, helpful and competent. We would love to come backAutomatisk oversatt.
- Holger K.June 2022Positive tingLocation on Rilkeweg, nice gastronomy, in the evening the "Maestro" played music for dancing in the pool restaurant, adjacent forest for walking, supermarket quite close, clean sanitary facilities, shady placesNegative tingIn the week after June 20, Muslim workers are accommodated in (actually vacation) bungalows right next to the pitches. I wonder what they think about bikini-clad women on vacation? They also gathered at 5.30 am to leave for work, talking loudly. In the same week, the campsite's train did not yet go to the beach or harbor. It's in the bay below the cliffs. There used to be a staircase to the bay, which was not maintained and has been washed away in places. There is a road down. No footpath or cycle lane. Very dangerous. (no additional criticism - just a note: the pitches under the pine trees are shady, but be careful. There are no paved areas. We constantly had to brush resin-covered pine needles out of our dear dog's fur. So bring a large dog blanket).Holger K.It may be that the campsite management is not responsible for some of the points of criticism. Perhaps the local administration should maintain the steps to the bay and grant permission to operate the lido...Automatisk oversatt.

Price performanceAutomatisk oversatt. - Andreas S.May 2021Positive tingLocation on the Rilke hiking trailNegative tingThe infrastructureFar too expensive for agile performanceIt is with great regret that we have to report our disappointment about our stay from 22-24.5.21. We had booked and paid for a place in advance. Even then I was astonished to discover that, despite full payment in advance, a reservation fee of €12 was charged.
The unusually high price of €60 for this... season kept my expectations high. Unfortunately, they were very disappointed. As nice as the campsite is, it does not meet the expectations of a 4-star campsite. The sanitary facilities have no toilet paper and are not heated, which made the shower unusable in the prevailing temperatures. Last but not least, the disposal station for motorhomes was not state of the art (waste water runs over the pitch as it is impossible to position the vehicle drain over the centrally located drain). The disposal for the chemical toilet was also simply blocked (taped off).
The W-Lan did not work and even if the staff had apologies and were polite and helpful, it is not a sign of a 4 star place.
More than 60.-€ per night for a place that does not even offer the essentials is simply outrageousAutomatisk oversatt. - Joachim L.September 2019Positive tingOn the Rilke hiking trailNegative tingNo direct beach access, wifi expensive, toilet paper missingWell ....The campsite is getting a bit long in the tooth. The pitches in the first row with an alleged view of the Bay of Trieste are unfortunately far too expensive and the views are also limited, almost everything is overgrown. But even the pitches in the second row sometimes offer a view of the Bay of Trieste.... The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, a bit outdated, but as mentioned so often, there is no toilet paper. Wifi costs extra, which is no longer up to date. A little more maintenance of the pitches and a little more flower planting throughout the site or something similar would do the campsite good. The advantage is that it is located directly on the 2km long Rilke hiking trail.Automatisk oversatt.
- Claudia w.September 2019never againAt first glance, the campsite looks very comfortable and of high quality. Unfortunately, we have a few points to criticize. - The playground is very run-down, lots of things are broken - The pool is very cold - The doors and windows in the mobile home were so warped that they could hardly be closed and... there was a terrible draught - The fuses blew immediately when a standard hairdryer was switched on - The Rilke path is blocked every Monday and in bad weather (even if there is only a slightly stronger wind). - The sea can only be reached by slow train (you are bound by time). When we asked at reception if it was also possible to walk, we were told that the only way was along the main road and that it was very dangerous with children (walking time 20-30 min). We then discovered by chance a staircase from the tourist information office down to the sea. These are steep, you have to climb in places and a bit strenuous to get back up again but absolutely doable with a few cookies. - You have to pay €16 per day for 2 sun loungers including a sunshade which is not adjustable. - There are small rides for children everywhere on the campsite, but they only eat up money and no longer work. - I also think € 5 per wash is a bit overpriced. - Nowhere is there a small shopping street or anything like that. If you want to stroll through the typical Italian flair, this is absolutely the wrong place. - On Fridays and Saturdays there is always hellishly loud music and bass from the beach. Overall, I don't think this campsite deserves 4 stars and is also very overpriced for what it offers. We definitely won't be staying here again.Automatisk oversatt.
- Markus B.September 2019Positive tingProximity to TriesteNegative tingOutdated systemsOutdated backward spaceThe place is completely outdated. No toilet paper, WLAN for 5 € per day, beach miserable and difficult to reach, sanitary facilities outdated, price reasonable.Automatisk oversatt.
- Alfred S.June 2019Positive tingLocation ideal for excursions, beautiful pool, RilkewegNegative tingNo direct access to the sea, no toilet paper etc.Ok for a few daysThe pitches are large enough, partly shady, partly sunny. There are only a few pitches in the first row, as they are mostly occupied by permanent campers. Otherwise, the view of the sea is mostly overgrown with shrubs and trees. Apart from the pitches in the first row, the access roads are sufficiently... wide. The toilets were always clean. However, as a four-star site, there was no toilet paper, no soap dispensers and no paper towels. The pool area is very nice. Free sunbeds are available, but no umbrellas. Sunbeds plus umbrellas are available in the upper area for a fee.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ramona B.June 2019Positive ting- clean facilities / sanitary facilities - beautiful view - friendly staff - train to the beachNegative ting- Beach not within walking distance - Gravel on the pitches - Disco on the beach audible at nightSuper campsite at a great priceWe stayed 6 nights with our tent at Camping Village Mare Pineta. We were even allowed to choose our pitch! The pitches are mostly in the shade of the trees and very spacious. There is electricity and water directly at the pitch. The sanitary facilities are easy to reach and wonderfully clean. There is... no toilet paper, you have to bring your own or buy it in the supermarket. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. Smoking is prohibited and swimming caps are compulsory, but that didn't bother us. The campsite is situated on the cliffs above the sea. Unfortunately, the walk to the beach takes just under 20 minutes and is not recommended in summer. There is a free funicular from the campsite directly to the sea. The supermarket has fair prices and a large selection. The restaurant and bar directly on Rilkeweg are highly recommended! All in all, it was a successful vacation.Automatisk oversatt.
- Sonja L.October 2018Positive tingLocation on the cliffs with beautiful distant views of the baysNegative tingAccess routes far too narrow Sanitary facilities, cleanliness, structural conditionsOk for a short stayVery nice staff at the reception. The pitches in the first row are nice and spacious, but outside the fence people are constantly walking past on Rilkeweg and you are under observation. The narrow access roads are a major drawback. With our caravan, we sometimes had to keep the hedges to one side so... as not to scratch the walls. Not recommended for inexperienced drivers. The sanitary facilities are not really clean and well maintained. No toilet paper and shower, washbasin and WC in one cabin. Hardly any hooks for hanging up clothes while showering. We only stayed 2 nights on the last weekend of operation - the location and the great weather made up for a lot.Automatisk oversatt.
- Soraya P.September 2018Positive tingGood starting point ,stopoverNegative tingPool,Restaurant Toilet paperFor me only for a stopoverStaff friendly and helpful. Sanitary clean take toilet paper! Nice view of the sea, snack bar ok, restaurant can be saved. Small store but everything you need.Automatisk oversatt.
- Uwe N.September 2018Positive tingFriendly staff, short walk to the beach, convenient locationNegative tingSanitary facilities always damp from the showers, no toilet paper, many mobile homesCampsite in a beautiful location above a cliffWe used the campsite as a stopover on our way home from Croatia. Staff very friendly and helpful, nice pitches, small store with everything you need. Sanitary always clean, but really unfortunate solution with the showers. The slow train to the beach is very pleasant, but walking is quite strenuous.... The Rilke path is also beautiful and offers wonderful views. The village of Sistiana is within walking distance, not so much worth seeing, but ok. What disturbs the camping idyll a little are the many mobile homes.Automatisk oversatt.
- Christine R.August 2018Positive tingThe location on the cliffs. The proximity of Duino and Trieste.Negative tingFor the price (!) there should at least be toilet paper! If you don't have that with you and the market is already closed, it's going to be steep.Expensive and poorly equippedI spent a night on this pitch with a small group during my bike tour. I paid €15 for the pitch assigned to me (without any amenities) - about twice as much as I paid at other pitches. At the cheap campsites there was always toilet paper, soap dispensers and paper rolls to dry your hands. On this campsite... there is NO toilet paper and nothing else in the sanitary facilities! This is the lowest level for such an expensive campsite! The slow train also departs before the specified time as soon as it is full, those who arrive on time are left behind and have to wait at least an hour. On the way back from the sea, it was already almost completely full - when friendly people made room for me and I got on, it set off at such a speed - with the door still open - that I would almost have fallen off if the people hadn't held on to me! You get the impression that due to the great location of the place, it is not necessary to make an effort to be customer-friendly to the guests. We recommend the small restaurant at the end of the Rilkeweg with a fantastic view of the sea and good food at fair prices (directly at the upper exit of the square).Automatisk oversatt.
- Norbert M.August 2018Positive tingCleanNegative tingToo many extras to pay for VolumeToo many extras to pay forSwimming caps are compulsory in the pool and must be purchased. The loungers above the pool also have to be paid for. There was very loud music in the evening. Otherwise the place is for. A lot of monilheime.Automatisk oversatt.
- Nelli und Robert G.June 2018Positive tingFree choice of seats, friendly staffNegative tingNo direct access to the beach. WC cabinsBeautiful, well-kept placeFriendly welcome. Free choice of pitches, even with ACSI. Nice restaurant, nice pool, unfortunately only to be used with a swimming cap. Beautiful, adventurous hiking trail to Duino. Sanitary facilities unfortunate solution. WC and showers in one cubicle. Floor always wet from showering.Automatisk oversatt.
- Timon F.May 2018Positive tingLarge swimming pool available, entertainment for childrenNegative tingNo direct access to the beach, half an hour's walk and the CP's own train to the beach only runs in HSThe place is okayThe sanitary facilities are fine, the site is well maintained and clean and the staff are friendly and courteous. There is a large swimming pool, a restaurant and a small supermarket on the site. There is an entertainment program for the children. The only downside is that there is no direct access to... the beach. In the high season, there is a shuttle bus to the beach. We were there before and it would have been a good half hour walk to the beach, which wouldn't have been too much fun for the children with all their swimming gear in temperatures of around 30 degrees.Automatisk oversatt.
- Schartl S.May 2018Positive tinggreat locationNegative tingnothinggreat quiet campsiteIt was our first time at this campsite. We received a friendly welcome. We had a nice pitch with a view of the sea. Pitches were all very nice just not all with sea view. Lots of trees so plenty of shade. Which we find very pleasant in the south. There was no train to the sea yet. Which is not a problem... for adults. The path can be walked in 10 minutes. Beautiful bay with lots of space. Supermarket has everything you need. Wash house tip top. Everything within easy reach. Certainly those who want action and bazaars and disco are wrong here. This is available down by the sea. Peace, relaxation and recreation can be found here. There is also everything for active hikers and bikers. The Rilke trail is a dream. Hiking on the edge.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hans G.April 2018Positive tingGreat location, short drive from the autostrada, ideal starting point for Trieste.Negative tingI can't think of anything relevantFantastic location above the cliffsWe were at this CP shortly after the opening after the winter break in 2018, so parts were still in hibernation. Beautiful pitches, fantastic views, nice hike directly from the campsite, bus stop directly in front of the campsite. You can be in Trieste in 30 minutes, fantastically beautiful and not as crowded as other cities. Good restaurant on site, nice serviceAutomatisk oversatt.
