- Anne J.May 2024Positive tingThe site is very quiet even when it is full, the only thing you can hear are the ships on the Weser. The sanitary facilities are very clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful.Negative tingThere is a small store, but to go out for a meal, for example, you have to use the carRest and relaxationGood place for dog owners, you can go for long walks with your dog on the dyke. The nearby lake or the Weser invite your dog to swim. The only thing missing is a dog shower, but the dog only costs 2 euros per dayAutomatisk oversatt.
- Cornelia G.July 2023Positive tingVery nice and above all helpful operators familiar atmosphere cleanlinessNegative tingSeparation of showers and washing facilities/toiletsGood location for exploring BremenWe spent 2 nights at the campsite. The location is very nice, the place is rather small and familiar. The owner couple are exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful (we noticed this with our neighbor who had problems with the gas)
There is a small, well-stocked store with a small library. At the ferry... dock, a few meters on foot, there is a nice restaurant with a great view over the Weser.
The only thing we didn't like was the division into showers and wash house/toilet. You walk back and forth ;-) However, everything is very clean, so you can easily stay for longer.Automatisk oversatt. - Jörg P.July 2023Positive tingnoneNegative tingnoneCampsite for watching shipsA small, lovingly maintained campsite. The site is partly under trees and mostly meadow. And you stand between the permanent campers, who usually arrive on Fridays.
If the pitch is right on the dyke, there is a great urge to look at every large ship on the Weser. We, who don't know anything like that,... have already walked to the beach 3-4 times to marvel.
The sanitary facilities are clean, the showers are clean. There is a small store with the essentials for survival and a large selection of bread rolls.Automatisk oversatt. - Peter B.July 2023Positive tingTop price-performance ratio. Beautiful large pitches with very nice trees. Each pitch has water and electricity. Small store with bread roll service.Negative tingThe regulation with the shower coins.Very nice campsiteSo, we've now spent seven nights at the Juliusplate campsite in Berne.
The location is absolutely superb. Right behind the dyke to the Weser. There's a great sandy beach where you can go for a swim, it really has that North Sea feeling.
There is always something different. Car ferry across the B74, shipping... traffic that you wouldn't expect there and the feeling of high and low tide.
The unisex shower house right next to reception takes some getting used to. There are 8 shower cubicles, but they are sufficient. 5 minute showers with a coin, those who want to save money shower with a partner.
There are two more toilets and wash houses. You always have to go two ways, shower and then into the wash house.
After two days you get used to it. The cleanliness is exemplary.
The price-performance ratio is excellent. 24.50 euros a night plus 1 euro for showers plus electricity according to consumption.1 kw 0.75 euros. There is a small store for daily needs at very reasonable prices. What I can confirm, the skin of the bratwurst is too hard!Automatisk oversatt. - Ralf B.July 2022Positive tingLocation, size, proximity to the village and lakeNegative tingnothingCozy place in a good locationthe site has a great location with a short walk to the lake. good sanitary facilities lots of shade and the proximity to Bregenz characterize the place.
We stayed in July 2022 and really enjoyed it.Automatisk oversatt. - Cornelius H.September 2021Positive tingWe spent a long weekend at the campsite at the end of the season. We were allocated a great pitch by the extremely friendly operators. The site offers a successful mix of permanent and tourist pitches. There are plenty of clean sanitary facilities. Drinking water taps distributed all over the site with slightly too little pressure. The location with the adjacent Weser beach and the ferry connection is really great.Negative tingnoneGreat place directly on the WeserSanitary facilities are available in sufficient numbers and are clean. Drinking water taps distributed all over the site with slightly too little pressure. The location with the adjacent Weser beach and the ferry connection is really great.Automatisk oversatt.
- Siegfried N.August 2021Positive tingSuitable for a short stay.Negative tingOnly one shower house behind the reception and this one is unisex. Very long way to the electricity box and fresh water outlet.Cozy place on the Weser beachCozy and small campsite directly on the Weser beach behind the dike with beautiful trees. Reasonably well-kept, but unfortunately only one shower house with 8 cabins and shower coins 5 min. a 1.- € and this also unisex.
Small store with fresh bread rolls.
WLAN only near the reception, but free of charge....
Cleaning of the showers and toilet blocks only once a day and this in Corona times!!!!
Otherwise a nice operator couple who are very careful to observe the rest periods.
Lots of dogs on site, but they must always be kept on a lead.Automatisk oversatt. - Michael M.June 2021Positive ting- The proximity to the Weser beach - Direct connection to the ferry terminal - The great atmosphere among the campers - Last year there were even friesNegative tingWhat I didn't like was the bratwurst, the skin is not nice. The taste is good, but the bite is not nice. The operators should use a different casing. This is not a 30-caliber pork casing.A very nice place! Not such a large site, but very idyllic due to the trees. Wifi is only available at the reception, but where you can buy hotspots in any discount store, wifi is not a problem.
The showers are at the back of the reception without toilets. Then there is a toilet and wash house, on the left side of the... entrance area, where you can do your business and daily personal hygiene separately.
There is also a toilet block in the middle of the square, but you need a key to use it. There, as well as at the front of the entrance area, there are sinks for dishes.
You don't have to starve there either, in Berne there is an Edeka and the Berner delivery service, where it tastes really good.and if you drive towards the Weser, there is an ice cream machine on the left before the dike.
What you can no longer find there is the former boat ramp, which belonged to the municipality of Berne. It is still advertised in some portals.
And what you have to watch out for is that the Weser is dredged there, never leave your children unattended and only go in up to your knees. Sometimes there are currents that even draw adults into the middle of the river.Automatisk oversatt. - Petra S.April 2020Positive tingThe beautiful location directly on the Weser.Negative tingWhat we didn't like was that after four years of permanent camping with a caravan, we weren't allowed to move onto the site with a motorhome.Motorhome not wantedIn 2019, we bought an older caravan and applied for a permanent campsite on the Juliusplate. We enjoyed the beautiful location for four years. As we like camping, we decided to buy a motorhome. Our permanent camping contract states that we are allowed to set up there with a caravan or motorhome.
As we... didn't inform the campsite tenant of our private plans before buying, we were told to cancel the pitch and were not allowed to move in with the motorhome. The strange thing is that the leaseholder himself was an enthusiastic motorhome enthusiast and a regional newspaper article stated that more and more motorhomes were pulling up there.Automatisk oversatt. - Manuel S.August 2019Positive tingIdeal for bike tours, very beautiful routesNegative tingsmall pitches wash house only with key to open, showers on coinssmall cozy placeThe place is not very big and therefore cozy: The nearby main road does not really bother because it ends only a few meters further at the ferry. The place itself could do with a bit more maintenance - pruning trees and bushes, removing nettles and so on. The plot is not really big but you can fit a... caravan and awning on it, but not much more! The operators told us that they have been managing the site for 1.5 years now and have already done a lot and still have a lot planned. We were not the last time there come again!Automatisk oversatt.
- Thorsten F.July 2019Have a nice weekendThe location was great, right on the Weser. There are bathing facilities, pure nature. Friendly staff and the sanitary facilities very well maintained and clean! It is quiet there to relax and vacation with dog to recommend! I liked it and would love to come back!Automatisk oversatt.
- Hartmut G.June 2019Positive tingBeautiful facility right on the Weser. Nice operator!Negative tingSanitary facilities only with key, showers with coins. WLAN not available everywhere. The entire complex is very natural and well-kept!We used the place as a starting point for sightseeing tours in Bremerhaven and Bremen. The concept of the sanitary facilities did not open up to us, in one house only showers for woman, man, child without toilet and without washbasin. In a separate house only toilets. The infrastructure at the pitch is in need of improvement.Automatisk oversatt.
- Dieter S.August 2018Positive tingNoneNegative tingSanitary and too expensive shower 0,90 € 5 minutesIt could be betterShowers separate from WC and washbasin. At the sink pressurized water fittings, no water pressure, after 4 seconds is over, washing an imposition!Automatisk oversatt.
- Jan E.July 2018Positive tingBeautiful cycling area.Negative tingNone.Vacations July 2018.A beautiful campsite with beautiful places in the sun or shade, this year unfortunately everything had dried up due to the hot summer, and no sprinkling was allowed from the Weser, but no one can do anything about that.Automatisk oversatt.
- Andreas E.July 2018Nice little place on the WeserWe had a nice place under big trees, so the 2018 heat didn't bother us that much. Nice tenant couple who go to great lengths to do everything justice. Clean sanitary facilities, that there is a common shower house for everyone was new for us but no problem that the cabins are big enough for undressing and dressing. We spent 2.5 relaxing weeks here and will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt.
- Claudia R.July 2018Positive tingNature Family run Swimming Connection to Bremen city centerLovingly managed campsite surrounded by natureWe had a wonderful stay here with our toddler. Numerous excursions, visiting Bremen's city center, cycling, swimming, ..., offer themselves or simply linger on the beautiful natural campsite.Automatisk oversatt.
- Wolfgang W.June 2018Negative tingThe power station oppositeFamily friendlyWe were very nicely received and will be back, the space was large enough and the pitches were well laid out.Automatisk oversatt.
- Friedrich W.June 2018Positive tingConvenient location Very friendly and helpful good facilities very good service nice placeNegative tingLocation is conveniently located and may not be quietStopover during trekkingWe spent one night at the campsite during a trekking tour. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The small but well-stocked store was very helpful for us and the bread and coffee service was almost a luxury. The facilities on the site are up to date and the location is convenient.Automatisk oversatt.
- Fabian B.June 2018Wonderfully quiet campsite with exceptional charm!Very nicely located campsite. Good connection to Bremen city center. Very beautiful surroundings with many special excursion possibilities. Swimming in the lake in the nature reserve. Highly recommended.Automatisk oversatt.
- Joachim K.May 2018Positive tingLocation in the countrysideBeautiful campsite with a special flairBeautifully situated site in the immediate vicinity of the Weser with a lovely sandy beach. New, very clean, functional sanitary blocks. Mainly tree-lined site with sufficiently large, parceled-out plots. Very helpful, friendly site management. Small store with bread roll service. Supermarket in the next village accessible by bike or car.Automatisk oversatt.
