Super satisfied
We were there for 3 nights and everything was fine... The staff are super friendly and very helpful... The long-term campers were also very friendly.

Positive ting
Price / performance fits. It is very affordable. The location directly on the lake is very nice.
Negative ting
Very sloping pitches. Poor sanitary facilities. No service at all.
Only conditionally recommended
Even when making a reservation by phone, you had to call umpteen times until someone answered. Then I probably had the cleaning lady on the line, who made a note of something that no one on the pitch ever got. Because they didn't know anything about it when I arrived. The pitch, if you can find one between... the permanent campers, is very sloping, so you can't manage without wedges or you have to be afraid of rolling out of bed. Sanitary facilities are currently being renovated. But I don't understand why the old ceilings and doors from the Honnecker era are being left in. The reception is hardly ever manned and there is no information about anything in the area. All in all, you can stay here for a night as a temporary camp, but nothing more. The permanent campers were all very friendly. The only thing is that you can hardly get to the lake as the shore is firmly in their hands. A nice permanent camper said to me: "I've been here on the site since 1970 and almost nothing has changed since then. Isn't that nice!!!!!!!!! Everyone locks the gates here when they want. I suddenly couldn't get out when I wanted to go for a walk. Reception was not manned and no one was available on the EMERGENCY PHONE. At some point, someone came and unlocked the door again. If I had been on the other side of the bridleway, I would have been out of luck.

Negative ting
the price-performance ratio does not fit and then every time to walk to the car because of the parking lot
for short-term vacationers, no water storage only for permanent campers.
Fishing is not desired by the permanent campers because there is no real place available. the access is very problematic with caravans Cars are not allowed to stay on the site and cost an extra 2 euros.

By bike to the Koberbach dam
Instead of driving the VW California, we wanted to cycle to the nearby Koberbach dam to spend the night in a tent. A call to the campsite (only possible from 2 pm to 6 pm) confirmed that there were enough pitches available and that we could come at any time. The Koberbachtalsperre campsite is located... directly on the banks of the dam and consists of two parts that are not directly connected to each other. The site is mainly dominated by permanent campers, but they were very friendly to us. The reception, the recreation room and the sanitary facilities are in a condition that dates back to the early 1990s. There is a need to catch up here. However, the sanitary facilities were always in a clean condition. In contrast to the pitch. There was a lot of garbage lying around, which I picked up myself so as not to be seen as the culprit. The price is correspondingly low. We paid just under 18 euros for a small tent and three people. It's worth mentioning that you have to pay a flat rate for electricity, even if you don't need it, and there's a large summer pool with a sandy beach and slides right next to the campsite. However, the price for this is not included in the price of the campsite. If you don't want to spend any extra money, you can go into the water directly at the campsite, somewhat hidden between the permanent campers, from your own jetty. There is a large boat rental right next to the summer pool. The campsite doesn't have a snack bar or its own store, but there is a restaurant and a larger snack bar with a beer garden with a direct view of the dam. The food here was very good. There is also a very reasonably priced but somewhat questionable snack bar at the far end of the dam. In the mornings, a bakery van comes and stands directly in front of the campsite for an hour (from 8 - 9 am). Here you can buy delicious pastries as well as breakfast side dishes and drinks. The biggest disadvantage of the campsite is its direct location on a busy road. If you are really looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. Due to the high noise level and the outdated sanitary facilities, I only give the campsite three stars. According to the site warden, the reception and sanitary facilities are to be renovated soon. We will then test the site again. The site is okay for an overnight stay or a weekend, but I wouldn't consider it for a whole vacation.
