- Sven "Knausrich" B.mai 2024Positive tinguncomplicatedNegative tingThis was discussed with the site operatorNice family businessBeautiful family-run campsite that leaves nothing to be desired. Starting with the telephone inquiry to the check-in, the well-kept large pitches, the gastronomy including barbecue trolley, bread roll service, everything is OK and the crew is always friendly and restless with a smile on their lips despite... the increasing stress level in the evening. The pitches are all on grass and are in the first row directly on the Fulda. Although the rail traffic is within sight and earshot, it was never annoying. And remember, camper van drivers greet each other.Automatisk oversatt.
- Andrea K.juli 2023Positive tingSuper friendly email communication and reception! Uncomplicated reservation Nice little place Pitches directly on the Fulda Very clean sanitary facilitiesNegative ting-very loud audible railroad track (freight trains, ICE, etc...) -that there are no water connections on the pitch and no possibility to discharge waste water. But that is, due to the "small size" of the CP, complaining on a high level ;) -bread roll service only on SaturdaysExtended weekend in RotenburgA very nice small CP located directly on the Fulda. The reception, a scullery and the very clean and lovingly decorated sanitary facilities are located in a beautiful wooden house on 2 floors. We received a really warm welcome. Quote: "Arrive first, feel at home, you can pay when you leave..."
Rotenburg... is a beautiful half-timbered town and very easy to reach by (e-)bike or on foot.
It has a beautiful castle park with a small brewery, ice cream parlors and good shopping opportunities - even for bread rolls for breakfast. However, it would take me too long to walk to the bakery... A bike is recommended here. On Friday, a butcher's truck came to the site with excellent products and the CP's own small food truck also gets a clear recommendation. We tried the delicious burgers and were served in a very friendly manner.
Unfortunately, the nearby railroad line should not go unmentioned. Trains of all kinds run here at relatively short intervals and you can't miss them!
All in all, our weekend was short but wonderful thanks to the friendly hosts. A clear recommendation!Automatisk oversatt. - axel k.juni 2022Positive tingA quick call and I was given my pitch number so that we could set up if there was no one at reception. I liked it very much.Negative ting????That's how it has to beEverything was just perfect. Next time a few days and not just an overnight stayAutomatisk oversatt.
- Thomas K.september 2021Positive tingClean sanitary area, Nice operators, Great gastronomyNegative tingNo disadvantagesGreat campsite at fair pricesThis campsite is located directly on the Fulda. You can cool off there on hot days. The catering and the very clean sanitary facilities were great.Automatisk oversatt.
- Nina H.juli 2021Positive tingIt is a very great campsite. The location on the Fulda is super relaxing and very cozy. It's very clean and you just feel at home. The people are super friendly and very helpful. Above all, they respond to you personally and I felt welcome right from the start. I can only recommend the campsite :)Negative tingThere were no disadvantages during my stay!NinaThe campsite has a great location and is easily accessible. The peace and quiet by the water is very relaxing and the people are super friendly. I felt at home right from the start. The sanitary facilities are very clean and the camping kitchen was also very clean and I was able to cook without any problems.... The registration process was very relaxed and I immediately felt at home. I was able to fill out my registration form over a cold drink on the terrace and arrive without any stress. I was immediately made to feel very welcome when I registered.
I would visit this campsite again in a heartbeat and, above all, recommend it to others.Automatisk oversatt. - Georg F.september 2020Positive tingBeautiful tent meadow and good pitches, nice terrace and beer garden. Top location.Negative tingToilets quite cramped. No table/bench on the tent meadow for campers traveling without chairs.Top location on the FuldaGood campsite for an overnight stay with tent and bike. Fair price, beautiful tent meadow. Top location on the Fulda, close to the town.Automatisk oversatt.
- Lutz K.juli 2020Positive tingVery friendly welcome, nice and caring management. Very clean, quiet little place. We felt very comfortable, somehow familiar. Ideal CP for tours into the Hessian mountains, situated on the German half-timbered and fairytale route.Negative tingSomewhat weak WLan. Train within earshot, we didn't mind, the trains left again quickly. These "disadvantages" can't spoil the nice atmosphere in the slightest.Quiet little fine placeWe were there for a week at the end of July 2020. Very warm and friendly welcome. During the whole stay you could feel that the well-being of the guests is the whole endeavor of the campsite operators. The campsite is run with a lot of love and passion. It's nice that something like this still exists....
The site is ideal for cyclists, hikers and canoeists. The campsite is located right on the outskirts of Rotenburg a. d. Fulda. The beautiful old town can be reached by bike in 5 minutes, on foot I would estimate 10 minutes. A very beautiful old town with very well-kept half-timbered houses, castle and other buildings. Melsungen and Fritzlar are just as easy to reach from here by car. All in all, simply great.
We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt. - Michael E.september 2019Positive tingBeautiful location, cleanliness, friendlinessNegative ting-If there was an Oscar for kindness...Beautifully situated pitch directly on the Fulda. The village with its castle is within walking distance. Bread rolls can be ordered on site, snacks and drinks are also available. The clean sanitary facilities and washing-up facilities are only accessible via a flight of stairs - so not suitable for... the disabled or people with walking difficulties. It's a shame, because the warmth and friendliness of the owners is rarely found. They really put their heart and soul into their work. :o) You'll be happy to come back to this place! The railroad line in the background is not as loud as you might think at first.Automatisk oversatt.
- Familie F.juni 2019Positive tingLocation, cleanliness and friendlinessNegative tingnoneOasis in the countrysideBeautifully located on the Fulda cycle path and also close to the city. The building exudes the charm of the 1920s and has been lovingly and invitingly designed by the operator. The sanitary facilities are very clean (!!) and the staff extremely friendly! You can have a drink, eat and enjoy the view of the Fulda on the terrace or the lawn with seats by the water or hire a boat to sail along the river. Conclusion: A great place to feel good!Automatisk oversatt.
- Norbert N.juni 2019Positive tingQuiet location, good starting point for activities, close to town and the all-round cleanliness and friendliness is simply commendableNegative tingSanitary facilities are only accessible for disabled people via stairsDesired placeA special thank you to the extremely friendly site manager and her husband (?), who treats the guest as king even when there is a large crowd. You immediately feel at home (as you come, so you are received).Automatisk oversatt.
- Gerd M.oktober 2018Positive tingFriendliness, value for money, cleanliness, close to townNegative tingTrain trafficBeautiful place with a view of the FuldaVery friendly groundskeeper, sanitary facilities simple but with everything you need, very clean and even in the last week before the winter rest, a bit of a hotel feeling with towels and cosmetics for forgetful campers. Good opportunities for cycling on the Fulda cycle path, boating rather unsuitable,... despite the federal waterway, 1-2h paddling or pedal boat is well possible. Nice town center also within walking distance, mini golf and simple indoor swimming pool nearby. The freight trains are a bit annoying in the evening, but we only noticed very little train traffic at night. Please note: Both our navigation system and Google Maps would have led us to the campsite via the cycle path from Lispenhausen, the only access is through the center of Rotenburg!Automatisk oversatt.
- wilhelm v.juli 2017Positive tingProximity to the city, cleanlinessNegative tingVery loud freight trains at nightIdeal for paddlers and sightseeingLocated directly on the Fulda with good mooring facilities. Level pitches in two rows along the riverbank. Few permanent campers, Rotenburg town center with restaurants and stores just a few minutes' walk away. Sanitary facilities simple and older, but very clean. Hot showers included. Small restaurant... with drinks, bread service in the morning, albeit baked. Small marquee with covered seating offers shelter in the rain. Very reasonable prices. However, the loud freight train traffic from the neighboring railroad line is very annoying, especially at night, and during our stay there was also a youth group making noise late into the night.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jutta W.august 2016Positive tingNot far from the highwayNegative tingnot knownRomantic and directly on the FuldaWe felt very comfortable here. Even though it is only a small place, the owner gives everything for her guests. The site is located directly on the river Fulda and the old town center with its half-timbered houses is not far away.Automatisk oversatt.
- Martina S.august 2016Positive tingLovingly managed campsite, close to the townNegative tingFor sensitive people possibly the trains in the vicinityA place with heart and soulRarely have we visited such a lovingly run place. Despite the not-so-new facilities, the tenant makes us feel at home. The historic campsite building was once a bathing establishment and has been lovingly refurbished by the new tenant. Everything is spotlessly clean. The turquoise color of the camping... building is somewhat unusual, but has a lot of charm. The railroad line runs above the campsite and trains often run along it during the day. However, this is not at all disturbing. You can also hear some trains at night. I am very sensitive to noise and heard trains at night too, but I didn't mind. The likeability of this place made up for everything. We will definitely be going back and can only recommend this gem. Beautiful pitches right on the banks of the Fulda and Rotenburg is a cute little town. Thank you Mrs. Hollenbach-Köberich for your warm hospitalityAutomatisk oversatt.
- Helmut S.juli 2016Positive tingCleanliness, friendlinessNegative tingMen's washroom is still being renovatedFamiliar and extremely friendlyWe would like to thank the campsite team very much. Great atmosphere, great service! We will definitely be back.👍😊Automatisk oversatt.
- Timo B.juli 2015Positive tingVery good location for cycling tours or canoeing. Bread roll service and beer garden. Very nice operator.Negative tingTrains(but hardly heard).Had a nice weekendHello were from July 24-26 on this beautiful CP directly on the Fulda. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly operator Ute. Bread roll service was great and her beer garden and the cake too. Very nice pitches with very good power supply. The sanitary facilities are older, but in great shape and very clean. We hardly heard the couple of trains. Thank you for your kindness and we will be back.Automatisk oversatt.
- Bernd K.juni 2015Rotenburg Corpus Christi 2015Hello, we were in Rotenburg on the Corpus Christi weekend. Although we had not reserved, we got a great water pitch right on the Fulda. The site was very well maintained and clean. The sanitary facilities are relatively simple, but were always spotlessly clean (day and night). The new tenant, Mrs. Ute... Hollenbach-Köberich, deserves special mention. With her natural friendliness she has really fulfilled all our wishes, so that the Rotenburg weekend will remain in good memory. Best regards from Schotten Family Bernd K.Automatisk oversatt.
- Juergen K.juni 2014Positive tingHospitality, beautiful location, sports facilities on the Fulda, barbecue eveningsNegative tingYounger children need to pay more attention, the access road is developed but narrow for oncoming traffic with wide caravansWhitsun 2014Royal weather in Rotenburg an der Fulda. A small but nice site located directly on the banks of the Fulda, the paths are well maintained, the grass is beautiful. The terrain is a little sloping, there should be enough wood to put underneath. The site itself makes a friendly impression, on weekend evenings... there is a barbecue with delicious meat and sausages, the camping building is quaint and historic - and somehow beautiful. Electricity is available directly at the site, water is available at taps - only the waste water disposal could be a bit better - a sink for gray and black water (a bit hidden behind the building). The operators are very helpful and very friendly. Simply great - you feel welcome. The unpaved bank of the Fulda is a bit of a problem for families with small children - you have to keep an eye on the little ones, of course, especially because families of ducks occasionally walk across the site and - of course - you want to run after them! :-) To sum up: not everything is perfect, some things are old (but well looked after), the price is family-friendly, the area is beautiful, Rotenburg is a great place to stroll around and you are welcome. We'll see you back in Rotenburg one day... Oh yes: the trains. You can hear them (freight trains are loud) but they don't disturb you. Attention: There is a fairground right next door. If there is a fair there, it can get really loud - ask beforehand if necessary....Automatisk oversatt.
- Gernot W.august 2013A lovingly maintained site with everything a camper needs. The only downside is the freight trains at night!Automatisk oversatt.Besvart fra Campingplatz Rotenburg an der Fulda 2. desember 2013Sure, it would be nice if the trains didn't run at night either, but it's not constant traffic, there are 2 - 3 trains in the morning!
Unfortunately we can't change thisAutomatisk oversatt.
