Absolutely zero catering, no consideration is given to vacationers, the wheel loader runs continuously all day long

We stayed there for a few days and were guided by the other reviews. Unfortunately a mistake, we were very disappointed with this place.

There is a small restaurant on site, but that's it. Bread roll service is probably only available on Saturdays, otherwise you always have to drive at least 7 km.

The sanitary facilities were clean.

The dishwashing building is not good at all. Ancient and loveless, a miracle that hot water was running.

We found the constantly moving wheel loader, which even drove around at lunchtime, very annoying. No trace of peace and relaxation. When we asked, we were told that he had to finish something, but in the end that wasn't true.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place and will not be back.

Pure nature - located in a nature reserve - great little place
We spent 3 weeks at this campsite - and not the first time - it is now our 3rd vacation here #sippeln.

We have never been to such a quiet campsite before and enjoyed the peace and quiet so much. We come from a big city (Munich) and are glad to have found this retreat.

We'll be coming here more often... in the off-season in future, as you're sometimes completely alone on a vacation site.

It's clean, you have everything your heart desires (including the baker who comes to the site on Saturdays) and the operators are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Incidentally, you can go shopping in the town of Deining - about a 10-minute drive away. There is a supermarket, bakery, butcher and a small farm store with regional products.

Insider tip: A little paradise to relax in
We really enjoyed our stay at this small but lovely campsite. The quiet location ensures absolute relaxation, while the cleanliness and care of the site leave nothing to be desired. Ideal for hiking and cycling in the surrounding countryside. The delicious food in the country inn deserves a special mention... - a real highlight! The baker, who comes by on Saturdays, offers an excellent selection of freshly baked goods. The natural pond was perfect for cooling off on hot days. We would love to come back!

So beautifully situated, you really only want to give 1 star so that no one else comes here. :-)
The climate is absolutely cool, even in midsummer, because this green oasis with a bathing pond lies in a hollow.
If a dinosaur suddenly poked its head through the trees...it wouldn't be surprising.
Getting... there by bike is a challenge (you have to dismount once beforehand without an e-drive, as it feels like a 90 degree incline, but the result definitely makes up for it).

We'll be there more often, see you there!

We spent 5 days at the Sippelmühle campsite for a long weekend and had a pitch right next to an idyllic swimming pond with a small sandy beach. We cooled off in it more than once and braved the warm weather. The site is in the middle of nature and there are countless paths for hiking. The sanitary facilities... are very modern and the pictures on the website don't promise too much. Instead of the noise of cars, we were woken up in the morning by the chirping of birds - simply wonderful. On Saturdays, a baker even sells fresh bread rolls on site. All in all, it was a wonderful time that we look back on fondly and we have made firm plans to visit "die Sippelmühle" again next year at the latest.

Small, clean and very quiet campsite
We are currently on this site and feel really comfortable. The staff are all very, very nice and the sanitary building is cleaned regularly.
You can eat really well in the country inn and if you just want a drink, that's fine too. There's a little stream right next to it, it's really lovely there.

The... swimming pond is great for a swim, but we also had our SUPs with us.
The site is generally very clean and really quiet, especially if you're coming from a big city.
The reception is of course not particularly good due to the location, but who wants to be reachable around the clock on vacation?

Very quiet, small campsite to relax
I can only attribute the previous reviews to the fact that some of them are already very old.

I was at the campsite this year (2023) with my husband and we are thrilled.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. You can eat very well in the Landgasthof, which we did almost... every evening ;) The cheese noodles are highly recommended.
You can shop either in a supermarket in the village or, like us, in a small organic store. The cows look at you directly from the meadow.

There are lots of hiking trails, which are well described on the website. We also went swimming in the small natural swimming pond.

We will definitely be back, because we have rarely seen such a beautiful and peaceful campsite as this one.

De omgeving is mooi.

Er wordt niet schoongemaakt in het toiletgebouw. Je kan niet met pin betalen. Het restaurant is ook gesloten.
Mooi gelegen maar slecht bijgehouden.
We were greeted warmly. Het verblijf viel echter tegen. De sanitairruimtes werden niet schoongehouden. Er is weliswaar een mooi nieuw toiletgebouw maar de afwasgelegenheid en ook de wasmachines zijn nog in het oude gebouw. Het afval light bergenhoog. De receptie is dicht, pas na bellen wordt er open... gedaan.
Het hele gebeuren geeft de indruk van mensen die eraan begonnen zijn maar dat het hen te veel is geworden.
De prijzen zijn voor het gebodene aan de hoge kant.

1. our sanitary building is cleaned several times a day by our cleaning staff. Of course, it can happen that the staff are not on site at peak times. However, you could have reported this to us personally.

2. the garbage at the waste house is collected regularly by the local garbage collection service. Unfortunately, we have no influence on the frequency of collection.

3. the reception is open at certain times, otherwise you are welcome to ring the bell. As they say themselves, it is open. The prices can be viewed at any time on our website.

But not every campsite concept suits every guest, we can live with that, but thank you for your feedback.

Reviews here, reviews there, everyone should form their own opinion of a campsite.
For a campsite with such high ratings, the bar is naturally set high.
What you can't undo is the first impression and that was anything but positive.
The "parking lot" after the barrier has the character of a permanent... construction site and you have to be careful not to hit your motorhome on one of the boulders.
The pitches themselves are large and easy to access.
Electricity and water are close by.
The sanitary building was clean and up to modern standards. It is guarded all day by a "toilet attendant" so that it cannot be stolen.
However, the fact that you still have to use the old sanitary building alone drags the rating down.
What is really disgusting, however, is the stench that constantly wafts over the campsite.
Unfortunately, there is no trace of peace and quiet. We probably had the bad luck that when the permanent campers or the site operator weren't working on their buildings, tractors kept driving through the site.
Yes, the playground is there, but it is very, very simple.
As the bakery car only comes to the site once a week, a small kiosk would be desirable.
I wonder how the campsite got such a high rating.

It is pleasing that the restaurant has been leased out again and is therefore also open during the week.
There is only a small menu, but with regional products at fair prices.

Point 1: Unfortunately, as our campsite is managed very sustainably and always in favor of our nature, we have no influence on this odor that occurs from time to time. We can only apologize to you for this inconvenience.

Point 2: Yes, our campsite is also affected by this - as you yourself have pointed out - it requires a certain amount of site maintenance, precisely because it is located in a nature reserve. We have already largely converted the appliances to electric so that they work relatively quietly. However, you could have told reception on site that a long-term camper was not keeping to the quiet times. Something like that can usually be sorted out very quickly.

Point 3: The municipality of Deining is only 7 km away from the campsite for shopping facilities - a lot of information about where you can shop around the campsite in organic quality can also be found on our website. Unfortunately, our small store was not accepted by the vacation guests, which is why we have given it up again.

But not every campsite suits every guest, we can live with that, but thank you for your feedback.

Smell on the pitch! Little effort for maintenance and cleanliness.

A place that could not fulfill the expectations due to too good ratings.

The campsite is very secluded (from everything), so it's really very quiet. Unfortunately, that was the only positive point of our stay.

The site doesn't look well maintained at all. It is advertised as "close to nature". The... fact is that nature will reclaim the site. It seems as if not a cent of work has been invested in broken or old objects (banisters). The old sanitary building still has to be used in part, although the condition underground is dilapidated. The new sanitary building looks very smart from the outside, but the furnishings are more like the lower average. Which wouldn't be so bad if it was at least clean. Cobwebs under the partition walls, which were not removed during the entire stay. Disinfectant is also lacking.

The worst thing about the stay, however, was the stench near the sanitary building, presumably from the sewage. Depending on the wind direction, you could smell the stench all the way to the pitch.

The country inn on the site seemed very nice, but unfortunately we didn't visit it. Otherwise there is unfortunately a lack of any catering.

This was our last visit to the campsite.

Great campsite in a really beautiful and quiet location ...... surrounded by woods and meadows. A small bathing lake invites you to refresh yourself in the warm temperatures. The toilets and showers are clean in the new clean sanitary building. There is also a large dog meadow and 3 dogs are not charged. The restaurant has a small menu, but the price and service are excellent. And if you're lucky, the tenant will play his guitar in the evening.

The campsite is described as being in a quiet location, which it is if there isn't a wheel loader constantly driving around from morning to night, even during the lunch break. Not only that, at the weekend, the operator uses it in the evening to carry out building work on his house. If you are still down on the tourist site and want to have a barbecue and enjoy the evening, it is so annoying and has nothing to do with peace and quiet. Disinfectant is also nowhere to be found...... and the operator is also uninstructive, as I was told by another camper who has probably already complained there. There are stairs there that you shouldn't actually use when walking through the fixed camper pitches, as they are so run down and therefore dangerous to use....... I'm lost for words. The new medical center also lacks handrails on the stairs....but the authorities have looked the other way....... Unfortunately, the site is not suitable for the disabled and the playground is far too small for children....but 3 dogs are free! If you then have a view in the morning from the WOMO or tent directly onto the garbage bins.... What a pity ....about the actually great place, if one would change some things there

1 star.
The description on the homepage just doesn't fit the place. A lot needs to be done. Especially if you have stress during the week and just want to relax, peace and quiet would be the best thing.

Our sanitary building is accessible to all people with physical disabilities; we have a separate and spacious room specially designed for the disabled.

Point 2: We would also like to point out that a certain amount of grounds maintenance is required. To this end, we have a gardener who maintains the lawn and trims trees and hedges. Without this work, the recreational value would unfortunately be significantly reduced and our pitch would resemble a "jungle" within a few weeks. Nevertheless, we take great care to ensure that the work is carried out as quietly and carefully as possible and are constantly investing in electric, low-noise equipment. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

Point 3: The "railing" you are referring to is only used to border the bed so that the plants can grow unhindered. All our steps are secured by railings.

Point 4: The playground is very spacious and all our guests with children are very happy with it, but we are happy to take note of your criticism.

A paradise for those seeking relaxation and campers with dogs
