De campingeigenaar Georg is altijd opgewekt en staat voor iedereen klaar. We hebben er een geweldige tijd gehad. The location is fantastic, right on the banks of the Weser and the cycle path. The campsite is also right next to Stolzenau, so everything is within walking distance. A bakery, ice cream parlor, restaurant, supermarket, ... the campsite... doesn't offer any of these, but you can find everything in the town. The site also has its own slipway, which may be of interest to kayakers or canoeists.
The reception was great and uncomplicated. The operator wasn't there at the time, but a permanent camper showed us the meadow where we could choose a pitch - everything was very relaxed and friendly. Electricity and water are always nearby, in the evening a few bicycle tourists always join us and the atmosphere is extremely pleasant.
But something urgently needs to be done to the pitch. All the concrete slabs and paving stones are crooked or broken, the slatted fences in the right wash house are almost falling apart and the lamps along the path are almost cool again but unfortunately all broken. The wash house was better than expected, even if the location right next to a run-down inn is not nice at all and somehow underpins the strange overall visual impression.

You can recognize several owners and their construction phases on the sanitary building, basically with good ideas but always half-heartedly executed. I have never seen so... much unprofessional work in one place, extreme tile joints, cables nailed to the edge of the tiles, half-heartedly smeared pipes under plaster, etc.. The cleanliness was okay. The campsite itself is quiet (we had many holidays), from the opposite side of the Weser comes extremely annoying noise from a gravel sorting plant on weekdays (6-21 o'clock), unfortunately we had east wind during our stay, which carries the noise particularly well to the CP. Our conclusion: fine on public holidays and as a base camp for excursions in this area, not recommended for a vacation on the site on weekdays.Automatisk oversatt.
