Camping lives from its proximity to Delphi
On the plus side, we were told that there was a free daily car shuttle to Delphi! We were happy to take advantage of this and it worked. We walked back to the campsite on foot, which was fine. We stayed at the campsite for 2 nights, which is an unusually long time: the motorhomes usually arrive, visit... Delphi from 8:00 am the next day and leave again before 12:00 pm - according to our observations. The pitch was not very busy; the ID card is retained at check-in; there are no cooling facilities, the fridges are switched off and full of ants, you should probably use the restaurant. The restaurant makes a "special" impression with white tablecloths and white chair covers ... that put us off, we didn't feel comfortable there (in this wedding atmosphere), so we cooked for ourselves. The view from the resto and from our tent pitch down towards Itea was fantastic - but that was about it in terms of beauty. The sanitary facilities are ancient, the door frames rotten, behind the sanitary building a collection of bulky waste; the sanitary facilities were clean - but there were only a few campers who used them. The worst thing was that there was no cold water: apparently the water pipe there is above ground and when it is "cold" it comes out of the tap very warm - unpleasant when brushing your teeth and unpleasant because cooling showers (sticky plastic shower curtains) are impossible - because we had 37 °C there during the day. The pool is newer, there and in the access area a lot of surveillance cameras, as a woman in a bikini I wouldn't feel comfortable at the pool - besides: what for? Hardly any food in the mini supermarket, we shopped in Chrisso (good supermarket in the center of town). This campsite lives from its proximity to Delphi: a good 2.5 km to walk in 40 minutes, then you're at the Archaeological Museum. Or use the free car shuttle from the campsite on the way there. We won't be back - at least not to this campsite, there are alternatives nearby.

Positive ting
Exceptional location, great view of the sea and the mountains. Pitches under trees and shady. Restaurant and pool on site. Sanitary facilities are good. Dogs are welcome. Access by camper very good. Partly winding, very wide and well-developed road.
Negative ting
You can hear the vehicles driving to Delphi a little, which is not disturbing.

Approx. 1 km from the town of Delphi and the historical site of Delphi. Therefore a wonderful location if you want to visit Delphi, as you can get there on foot or by bike.
Stayed here for 2 nights.

Positive ting
Perfect location, amazing view through the valley to the sea. Very close to the places of worship.
Negative ting
Poorly located disposal chute in the middle of the access road to the pitches and narrow. But that was already the disadvantage.
A view like a painting!
The site is located directly on the access road to Delphi, but due to its layout you can't hear anything in the evening.
Friendly reception, nice place. Pool, very clean, toilets showers very clean.

Then we went to the site's own taverna. The tables are arranged like a painted picture around an open... fireplace and in front of a large window front (no windows at the moment due to the heat), allowing a view of the valley all the way to the sea. Perfect!

It couldn't be better. We immediately reserved the middle table, the best table of all by the window, and then had a delicious meal in the evening.

I have to say it again. You can't sit any better. What a view.

If we come to the area again, we will definitely go back to Apollon.

Good location and views
Close to Delphi
Quiet, well-maintained, with a swimming pool. Beautiful view of the Gulf of Corinth, close to Delphi. Bells of sheep grazing on the nearby slopes. Bus tour of Russian youth very disciplined and cultured. Many older French motorcyclists, also on the level. The restaurant is a strong point of the place.

Camping Apollon
Easy to get to, not very far from the archaeological area. The restaurant is somewhat pretentious and inexpensive. Crowded restrooms. Nice and airy pitches, somewhat inconvenient pits.

Perfect place to visit the excavations of Delphi. We only stayed there for one night, the location was very nice. The pool made a good impression. The sanitary facilities were not great and not particularly clean. It was also a long way from the lower pitches to the sanitary facilities. We only managed to get the caravan back up by the skin of our teeth :-() Very steep and narrow driveway.

The site is beautifully laid out and the sanitary facilities are very clean. There is a nice pool with a bar, the pitches are nicely laid out, shady and have water and electricity connections. A good starting point for visiting Delfi.
