- Melanie M.July 2017Positive tingbeautiful beach, great view, good locationNegative tingunfriendly, all-consuming, noisy permanent campers,Not much peace and quiet, but very niceWe had decided to spend another night on the island. Unfortunately, bad reviews in various portals had made us shy away from this place. We took the plunge anyway. And for the most part, we couldn't understand the reviews. When we arrived, there were only a few free pitches and it was not easy to get... through, as the permanent campers occupy everything, including the roads, and all kinds of cables and ropes are stretched across the roads. We were then in the 2nd row. The pitch was big enough for our camper, but for a large motorhome or caravan it was probably a bit cramped. The sanitary facilities were simple, functional and moderately clean. There is certainly room for improvement. The outlet for the chemical toilet is located in a cubicle in the men's toilet, so emptying the toilet as a woman is a bit difficult. This could also be improved. There is a small supermarket on the pitch itself, which has everything you need at fair prices. Outside the campsite there are plenty of opportunities to eat out or go shopping. The beach is clean and beautiful, pleasant fine sand. So is the entrance to the sea. The water was a dream!!!! With the view and the sand on your feet. Wonderful. At the exit from the beach there is a tap to rinse your feet. Unfortunately, we didn't like the overcrowding with the permanent campers either. You had the feeling of being unwanted as a vacationer. The permanent campers seem to take all their rights and regard the pitches as theirs. The noise level is also quite high at times, with no consideration for others. The site management should take action here. We received a very friendly welcome at reception, were looked after and also said goodbye again. Likewise in the supermarket. The friendliness of the cleaning staff left a lot to be desired. We would have liked to stay longer and we will return to this campsite if we come here again.Automatisk oversatt.
- Herbert G.July 2017Positive tingDirect access to the sandy beach. The campsite is located directly on the beach.Negative tingThe "normal" camper only gets a pitch in the last rows away from the beach. The front rows belong to the permanent campers.Campsite in a fantastic location !!!The site is beautifully situated directly on the sandy beach. The normal camper has no chance of getting a pitch in the first rows as these are reserved for permanent campers. The site is 90% occupied by Bulgarian, Romanian and Greek permanent campers. You have to be very lucky to get a pitch unannounced.... Due to the many permanent campers and their mentality, there is already a high noise level. The fixed night-time rest from 1 a.m. is also rarely observed. On the other hand, you have the opportunity to sleep in in the morning. The sanitary facilities are in urgent need of renovation and not necessarily in a hygienically acceptable condition. There is a small supermarket on site where you can buy everything you need as a vacationer/camper on a daily basis. There are some very good restaurants outside the campsite and something for every budget. The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. The sun loungers are subject to a charge and cost 2.50 euros including a soft drink (water). The sea is fantastic and has a South Seas flair. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt.
- Carsten S.September 2016Positive tingSea locationNegative tingSanitary, general kitchenAll a matter of opinionThe place itself is beautifully situated in a sandy bay. I can't say what it's like in the HS. There are no more free sunbeds on the campsite beach as they are completely occupied by hotel guests who are too lazy to walk to the beach. Free Wifi is available next to the reception. NEGATIVE: As always... in the south, the toilets are only flooded by the cleaning ladies and not cleaned. Old urine behind the basins. Everything dirty, broken and no toilet paper. The general kitchen no longer exists as it is used privately by a Slovakian tent camp. A bottomless impertinence. The fridges are pointlessly overfilled, icy and dirty. No shade for the tents and there is a barbed wire fence around the site (like in prison) NEVER AGAIN CAMPING GOLDEN BEACHAutomatisk oversatt.
- martin w.August 2014Between dream beach and permanent campersQuiet times are not observed either in the afternoon or at night. Greek music is played by local pensioners or party sounds from a laptop. The toilets are always clean and the shower water is always warm. The beach is fabulous. The beach bar and the market are cheap. Frape for 1.50. Beer 0.5 for 2.50. If you come with a tent, you should put up a shade tarpaulin/sun sail. The girls at reception are not linguistic geniuses. Price performance fits!Automatisk oversatt.
- Alexandru V.July 2013Positive tingBeach and sea waterNegative tingThe narrow alleys don't give you parking space for your car.A campsite for families with childrenAccess to the sea, as well as the beach and the gently rising water level, make this campsite an ideal destination for families with young children. The pitches are well maintained and shaded.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jozef J.July 2013Nice place, we have been there six times till now, with tents and later with camper as well. Excellent on-site services, very good fresh drinking water, nice and very pleasant beach and sea side directly in the camping. Also prices are friendly enough. Beer on the camping bar on the beach 2,50 Euro... Only chasing of groups of local children are sometimes disturbing your pitch at the evenings... but no later than 23:00
- Lukasz C.August 2012DREAMY!!! This place is absolutely undervalued. Of course, in terms of infrastructure, the campsite may be in the lower category. But as for the DREAMY LOCATION: right on the beach, turquoise water, white sandy beach, shady spots, stunning surroundings and excellent excursion possibilities. WLAN was... slow but included. We had more fun than ever. The only thing is the sanitary facilities, which are not the best and could be invested in. The playground is also poor, but everything else is TOP. With a football pitch, basketball court, WLAN, market, gyros and restaurants next door, right on the beach. TOP BEACH so the best Europe has to offer. Volleyball and and and.... Sometimes very loud in the evening, typically Greek, until about 11 pm, but then it's quiet. So ideal for everyone. I will go again. The ferry with WW costs about 60 euros each way. - Sabine G.August 2012The place is great value for money. Always helpful people at the reception. You can get almost everything in the mini-market at surprisingly low prices. There are several tavernas around the campsite. The sanitary facilities were O.K. for the main season. They were cleaned regularly from early to late.... Huge sinks with always hot water. There is a separate tent meadow at the front left. The site is characterized by permanent campers, but everything looks very well maintained. I've seen completely different Greek permanent campsites. The beach is first class. Relatively shallow and fortunately not so many dogs. They are not welcome here in high season. The campsite also has its own first aid room and nurse. A doctor visits regularly. I mention this because we gratefully took advantage of this service. There is free Wi-Fi in the reception area, although it is quite slow. The pitches vary in size, with more or less shade. We were in the penultimate row with huge pitches, but it was still not far to the beach. Anyone who knows Greek campsites knows that it is never quiet in August. However, it was still within reasonable limits. We would definitely visit this place again.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ferdinand G.July 2012Hello, we were July / August 2012 on the CP, it was wonderful to vacation among Greeks. You know from the beginning that it is not quiet, but it was OK. The toilets/showers were cleaned during the day and into the night. The supermarket on site was very reasonably priced. A few steps to the beach, just... as much to the village with countless tavernas. We rented scooters for 10,00 € per day or 24h. It was a successful vacation for us (3 people) on this site, we will definitely be back. KalinichtaAutomatisk oversatt.
- Grzegorz Z.August 2011Beautiful beach, sand like the Baltic Sea!Beautiful mountains all around.Automatisk oversatt.
- Thomas N.August 2010No room for tourists. The site is full of permanent Greek campers. Tourists get pitches in the blazing sun or next to the sanitary buildings. Party late into the night.Automatisk oversatt.
