"Kato Alissos is more of a transit point for waiting for the ferry. - This is not a place for campers who want to stay for several weeks but really only a transit site. We drove on the next day because of the condition.

"Suitable for overnight stays to and from the ferry - The site is conveniently located for arrival and departure near Patras. The restaurant in front of the campsite is highly recommended.

"For 1-2 days - July 2009: Ideal CP to wait for the ferry. You can stay until the ferry departs at no extra cost on the day of departure. We have been visiting this site with our WOMO for many years. The food in the taverna is good and reasonably priced. There is also a beach bar on the beach. All in all, very pleasant. July 2014: Unfortunately, the beach bar was washed out by the sea and is no longer in operation. Also the showers are no longer active, showers are now about 50m from the beach at the restaurant.

" - Small, unpretentious campsite with a friendly welcome. Very shady. Dogs (of which there were many during our stay) unfortunately cause noise pollution. Good sanitary facilities, shared fridge and kitchen. Unfortunately, the poorly maintained beach was not very attractive. Very pleasant restaurant with typical cuisine.

" - CP near Patras with lemon trees. However, these are probably the only positive points. The beach is dirty, narrow and the water is full of algae; not really usable. There is a restaurant and a small store, but it doesn't offer much. The sanitary facilities are barely okay. We originally wanted to stay 2 nights, but then changed to the Akrata Beach campsite (60km east of Patras) for the second night. We would also recommend CP Akrata Beach, which is a little further away, for transit to/from the ferry.

" - Small place that is not directly on the beach. The beach itself is very narrow and not very clean. The sanitary facilities on the site are old but still in good condition and reasonably clean. The taverna in front of the campsite is highly recommended with delicious food and a great view. The prices were reasonable. The site is best suited for an overnight stay before the ferry departs or after arriving by ferry, as it is only a few kilometers from Patras.

Our Camping's position is in Peloponnese, 21 km west of Patras, at KATO ALISSOS beach. It is in a nature and green environment. Olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees and many other kinds of trees and plant decorate all of …the place. Taste our traditional recipes under the shadow of the 1000 years old and huge wild olive tree, with the view of Patraikos bay and the city of Patras. Visit the see-sights of our area and learn about the ancient and present Greek culture. Enjoy the Greek hospitality. Have a loosening and happy holiday at camping "KATO ALISSOS".

Veibeskrivelse

If you are coming from Patras: Follow the coastal road, which will drive you to the National Road from Patras to Pyrgos. If you are coming from Patras port, you will find easily the coastal road by turning right from …any exit of the port and then continue straight ahead. You can choose whether you will follow the New or the Old National Road. During the whole trip, the position of the sea must be always at your right side. For your help there are signs during the whole trip, at both National Roads. When you arrive at the 21st km. of the National Road from Patras to Pyrgos, you must turn right, following the corresponding signs. You will find the camping after about 500 metres. If you are coming from Pyrgos-Olympia: If you are coming from Pyrgos or Olympia you will pass the first crossing to KATO ACHAIA. After about 1000 metres you will find the second crossing of KATO ACHAIA. You have to turn left and after about 500 metres you will find the Old National Road. In this crossing you have to turn right, following the signs of the camping. After about 1 km. you will find the crossing which is driving to the camping. You must turn left following the signs and you will find the camping after about 500 metres.
