- L. M.May 2024Positive tingGood starting point for excursions to Amsterdam and the surrounding area, whether by streetcar, regional train or bicycleNegative tingnone worth mentioning. See commentWell-kept square on the edge of Amsterdam.Place is recommendable.
A good starting point to get to know Amsterdam.
The pitch is very well maintained. There is no such thing as quiet maintenance. Therefore, you should not be bothered if the lawns are cut with the mower from time to time. This is done quite quickly, after which peace returns....
Uncomplicated check-in. Very friendly.
Well-kept grounds on the edge of a large park. There are grass pitches and combined pitches. The Womo is on a paved surface. Next to it a sufficiently large grass pitch.
Sanitary facilities well maintained and clean.
You need tokens for showering, which you can buy in the small supermarket that has everything you might have forgotten. One token is enough for 5 minutes of showering pleasure. You also need tokens for washing up.
There is also a bistro next to the small market selling bread rolls.
Small fine menu.
The nearest streetcar is about a 10-minute walk away.
The square is pacified and borders a stream on one side. Next to it is a large park. The gate is closed from about 20:00. Can be opened with a card (issued at check-in).
We stayed on the site for 10 days and were very satisfied all round.Automatisk oversatt. - Sven "Knausrich" B.April 2024Positive tingCheck inNegative tingPriceProximity to the cityA modern campsite where you can check in digitally. You can also do this at the machine in front of the barrier when reception is already closed. In addition to the analog check-in, you can also buy tickets for public transport in various categories at the reception and the metro stop to get to the center... of Amsterdam is only a 10-minute walk from the campsite. There are several clean sanitary buildings, but in the morning you get the feeling that there are not enough of them and this at a time when the campsite was only about 70% full. There is also a small store with the essentials at the entrance as well as a small restaurant. There are 2 disposal areas, which will also involve waiting times when the site is full. We felt that the price of just under 40 euros per night was too high for this pitch. And remember, camper van drivers greet each other.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hermann S.August 2023Positive tingOptimal connection to public transport. In 25 minutes in the city center of AmsterdamNegative tingNothingTopStayed here for nine days to explore the city of Amsterdam. It couldn't have been better!
If you want, you can also get tikets for the metro at reception.
Supermarket and restaurant for basic supplies on site.
Sanitary facilities spotless and clean.
I can only recommend the site.Automatisk oversatt. - Wolfgang u.July 2023Positive ting- Free pitches even in the high season - Pitches appear very well maintained - Metro just a few minutes' walk away - Travel time to the city center (Central Station) approx. 15 min. - Small supermarket on the siteNegative ting- Disproportionately expensive - Place is located in the flight path of the airfield, thus partly considerable noise pollution - Shower tokens must be purchased separately - Tokens for washing dishes at the sink must be purchased separately - Fresh water hose is installed directly at the waste water station (gray water and toilet emptying). The end of the hose was on the floor. I had hygienic concerns and therefore did not fill up with fresh water - No infrastructure within walking distance (no restaurants, pharmacies...) - Showers only provide weak water pressure and were not particularly clean - No washing machines availableSolid but too expensiveWe arrived on 25.07.2023 with our camper, 2 people, dog and small trailer. Despite the peak season, there were still plenty of pitches available. The pitches looked very well-kept. We were allocated a pitch on a large meadow. However, the meadow looked more like a well-kept lawn. We declined the electricity... connection ourselves, as we are self-sufficient (solar system). There are no electricity connections on this large meadow, which was completely ok for us. It was very quiet on the pitch itself. However, this tranquillity is sometimes considerably disturbed by landing aircraft, as the site is probably in the flight path.
We paid €54.50 per night (camper 7m long, small trailer, 2 people and 1 dog), excluding electricity. Compared to other campsites, I find this very expensive. Showers and dishwashing at the sink cost extra (tokens have to be bought separately). The showers only provided very moderate water pressure. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities could be improved.
Unfortunately there are no washing machines.
I was very disappointed by the fact that the fresh water hose is located directly at the disposal station (toilet emptying and gray water) and I found the end of the hose lying on the floor. I therefore decided not to fill it with fresh water for hygiene reasons. I would like to see a separate facility for filling with fresh water.
The center of Amsterdam is relatively easy to reach by metro (travel time approx. 15 min) and a short walk.
There are no wellness facilities.Automatisk oversatt. - Thomas K.June 2023Positive tingWell-managed campsite, friendly staff,Negative tingPayment in the supermarket only with EC card, prepayment of the place, in case of early departure there are discussions. the place is located in the flight path of Schipol also otherwise it is noisy on the place. the highway can be heard.Centrally locatedThe site is well located for exploring Amsterdam and the region. Unfortunately there is no pool. The site is clean and well runAutomatisk oversatt.
- Hendrik J.April 2023Positive tingVery friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, large space and excellent metro connection to the city center.Negative tingExpensive sale of baked rolls and no hanging facilities in showers and wash houseGood place, top for sightseeing AmsterdamA very conveniently located square as a starting point for sightseeing in Amsterdam. About a 5-minute walk from the square, the metro takes you directly to the central station in 20 minutes. A map for all of Amsterdam's public transport is available at reception and makes exploring the city even easier.... The campsite is located in the flight path of Shiphol Airport, so you can see and hear the planes very well. However, we didn't find this a nuisance. In the camper van you no longer pay attention to it and there is no air traffic at night.
Bread rolls are available in the campsite's own supermarket. Unfortunately, these are only bread rolls, which are also quite expensive. However, due to the lack of alternatives, you buy them - but at least they taste good!
Unfortunately, there are no hanging facilities for jackets or towels in the wash house (2 hooks in the shower).
All in all, however, the super convenient location of the campsite for exploring Amsterdam outweighs everything else - we will definitely be back!Automatisk oversatt. - Katrin K.July 2022Positive tingLocation, metro and train almost in front of the door,Negative ting~Week for twoThere were two of us on the campsite for a week. We were allocated a parceled out pitch (caravan) including electricity, water, waste water, paved terrace.
There was also a meadow.
Sanitary always clean.
Supermarket on site, where you can also buy bread rolls.
Bistro was closed during our stay.
Supermarkets... not directly around the corner, but still reachable in a few minutes.
Freeway quasi front door, did not find this and the airplanes as disturbing.
Metro u bus also in front of the door, we used it for our destinations towards the city center.
At the back of the square borders a city park, bathing lake about 10 minutes by bike.
Amsterdam is worth seeingAutomatisk oversatt. - Holger J.May 2022Positive tingEven on days with many arrivals, check-in is easy. Staff very helpful.Negative tingAircraft noise. Not everything is practically thought through to the end.Well organized place in the south of AmsterdamThe place is good for visits to Amsterdam if you want to go to the center by train. It's a bit far by bike. The sanitary facilities, which are good in themselves, lack (as so often) hooks for hanging up your coat, toilet bag, bathrobe and towel. There are two hooks in the showers and none in the toilets....
Electricity is poorly protected; if you have a "gas-free", i.e. fully electric caravan, you will have problems.
In summer, the nearby Gaasperplas is a good option for leisure activities by the water.Automatisk oversatt. - Wolfgang A.April 2022Positive tingSuper place that is very clean. Central to the city via S-BahnNegative tingNoneSuperSuper place that is very clean. Central to the city via S-Bahn. Would love to come back...Automatisk oversatt.
- Petra K.July 2021Positive tingVery clean and well maintainedNegative tingYou need coins for the showers (€0.80). Available in the store. But no real disadvantage.Very well-kept placeWere here with our caravan (2 adults), had pitch 107 (corner pitch by the wash house), 4 nights. Pitch is very clean and very well maintained. WC, showers and the entire wash house are new inside and tip-top clean. After a busy day in Amsterdam, this is a great place to relax. We bought a 3-day ticket... for the metro at reception (€38 for 2 people). It was a great investment. There's a small market on site with fresh bread rolls, milk, drinks... The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Overall recommended for a city trip to Amsterdam.Automatisk oversatt.
- Monika B.July 2021Positive tingTidy, clean and hygienic pitch Nice, friendly and helpful groundsman Perfect for cycling, lake and large park next door Less than 5 minutes to the metro and 11 minutes to the city, perfect Tickets and map can be obtained from the kiosk, very friendly staffNegative tingunfortunately the restaurant was closed, not enough visitorsGreat CPWishes

- Rolf G.August 2019Positive tingCity camping, admission tickets, bike rental and public transport ticketsNegative tingSanitary and toilet area.4 stars not everywhere4 star place a bit on the outskirts of Amsterdam. But that's not a bad thing. The metro is about 7 minutes away on foot. You can buy tickets on the campsite. You can also rent bikes from McBike directly at the campsite. You can also pick up tips for excursions at reception or buy tickets for museums... and other sights. I can highly recommend cycling, e.g. a tour from the campsite to the beach and then along the canals back to Amsterdam. Then back to the CP. A total of approx. 38-40 km. Routes are available via Komoot. The last few meters of the approach is a bit narrow, but it works. Friendly and professional reception. You are guided to the pitch. These are quite small, but ok. The pitch itself makes a well-kept impression. Reservations were not taken, but as there is a lot of movement on the site, it was no problem to get a pitch at 9:30 in the morning. Payment is possible by credit card. However, not for deposits, such as 50 euros per bike or 30 euros for the barrier chip. Processing of all procedures is routine, but takes some getting used to. Passports or ID cards are retained and exchanged for a green card with a number on it. Whether this is valid as ID in the Netherlands is questionable. You only get your ID back when you check out and pay. And when you leave, the barrier is only opened if you have the exit chip ready (I didn't get one) or, in my case, the bill. This gave me the impression that the CP was very afraid of having to pay. However, I found the sanitary facilities questionable for 4 stars. Already at 9 in the morning the toilets were no longer impeccable in terms of cleanliness, there were few toilets and no mirrors or anything to dry your hands, neither paper towels nor hand dryers. However, each toilet is equipped with hooks and eyelets on the inside to keep them all open when cleaning. The condition is unworthy of 4 stars. A shower trolley was also set up at the weekend due to high occupancy from the festival in Amsterdam. This is also questionable for 4 stars and not appropriate. Summasumarum good place for short city camping, but with clear deficits in the sanitary area.Automatisk oversatt.
- Kim C.July 2019Positive tingThe campsite is well located for AmsterdamNegative tingAccess is poor. There is no kitchen.Campsite for city breaksDefinitely a sleeping campsite for Amsterdam. Only 5 minutes walk to the Metro, which in 15-20 minutes lands at Central Station in Amsterdam. We don't get the feeling that it is difficult to get a pitch at the campsite without a reservation. There is a lot of distinction between what type of camper you... are, for example, whether you have an awning on the caravan or a sun canopy. The campsite's grocery store has breakfast, but not a large selection of other culinary necessities. It's a good idea to shop before you arrive at the campsite. Tokens are used for hot water. There is no kitchen at the campsite - so you are on your own at your pitch or you can eat in the on-site restaurant. Getting on and off the site can be a challenge. Especially when there is a "changeover" at 10 to 12Automatisk oversatt.
- Sven W.July 2019Positive tingPerfect for sightseeingNegative tingSmall pitches; road quite noisy in places; the water pressure in the sanitary building is lousyReally good for sightseeing in AmsterdamWe stayed at the campsite for two nights. The briefing was routine and there are quite small pitches for guests like us (but perfectly adequate). It's a 5-10 minute walk to the metro and then you're ready to head into the lively city. The sanitary building takes some getting used to: toilets outside the building; the men's washroom is completely visible from the outside; hot water for washing up costs as much as a shower (€0.80).Automatisk oversatt.
- René H.June 2019Positive tingFriendliness, cleanliness, close to the cityNegative tingLots of mosquitoes in the evening due to the canals at the campsite.Great campsite close to the city centerGood starting point for sightseeing tours in Amsterdam. Good and clean sanitary facilities, very well-kept grounds in general.Automatisk oversatt.
- Juergen R.May 2019Positive tingClose to the city, metro station nearby, friendly staff, small store, restaurant, cleanlinessNegative tingToilets are not heated No hooks in the sanitary area and mirrors hang too high Showers cost 0,80 € (too expensive)Nice place near the centerA well-kept place with friendly staff. The proximity to the metro, which is just a few minutes' walk away, is brilliant. This takes you to Central Station in 20 minutes. Another positive aspect is that there is a small store and a restaurant on site. Unfortunately, the toilet facilities are not heated... and are also a bit outdated. The sanitary facilities are fine in themselves. Unfortunately, there are no hooks and/or storage facilities. This could be remedied with little effort. The plentiful mirrors were probably installed by people over 2 meters tall. Small women, for example, are hardly able to see themselves in them. The fact that you have to pay for hot water is basically not objectionable. However, I think the € -.80 charged is too expensive, especially as the € 34 per day (caravan/car/2 people) paid for a pitch without a water/waste water connection is not bad either. However, the points of criticism expressed should not detract from our positive overall impression. We felt comfortable here and would always check in here again on another visit to Amsterdam.Automatisk oversatt.
- Stephan L.April 2019Positive tingVery friendly staff, close to the city center.Negative tingSomewhat few hooks and storage facilities in the always clean! Sanitary blocks.Great place close to the city centerWe (3 people/2 dogs) stayed at the campsite over Easter. The place is very well organized and the staff very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were partly very new and always clean. The only thing missing were a few hooks or shelves. Hot water (rinsing / showers) is available for coins, but... that's OK; everyone should pay for what they use. The place is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest METRO station and with the METRO you are in the city center in about 15 minutes. All in all, a very nice place, but it should be reserved.Automatisk oversatt.
- Andreas M.April 2019Positive tingMetro station nearbyNegative tingPartly small pitches, high priceGood & expensiveFriendly welcome and detailed explanation of the conditions. Well-kept, largely flat pitches, clean sanitary facilities, motorhome pitches approx. 50 m² in size. In view of this size, I think the pre-season price of 26 euros per night incl. 2 persons and electricity plus shower tokens plus flush tokens... for hot water is expensive. Metro station was exactly 650 meters away from our pitch, direct connection to Amsterdam Central Station every 10 minutes. Small market for essentials available, snack bar only open Friday/Saturday in low season. Road audible, air traffic sometimes more sometimes less from approx. 6.00 to 23.00, takes some getting used to.Automatisk oversatt.
- Michael Z.October 2018well-kept CP in a great location near AmsterdamThe S-Bahn is about 500 meters away and goes directly to Centralstation without changing trains. Very well-kept CP, only the sanitary facilities could do with renovation. However, they were always clean. A small store has the essentials and fresh bread rolls every morning.Automatisk oversatt.
