"Camping in the center of Søhøjlandet. - The location of Hesselhus camping is perfect in relation to Aarhus, Herning and Silkeborg. Everything can be reached within a manageable drive. The nature in the area is inviting for walks and relaxation.

"Good campsite with the well-known DCU standard. - The site is well located in a large wooded area. A medium-sized and well-organized site with good sanitary facilities. There are several playgrounds for children and a mini-market where you can buy groceries. The site is highly recommended for both families with and without children.

"Accommodation for Helene Fischer concert in Herning - When we were going to a concert in Herning we chose this site because of the distance. It was in beautiful surroundings for lovely walks with the dog, the sanitary conditions were nice and in order but unfortunately it rained for several days and then the water came up from the wells so we had to wear boots to go to the sanitary building, but otherwise a nice place

Climb Himmelbjerget Enjoy the beautiful forests that surround the 147 meter high peak. Maybe with a greased lunch box in the forest floor. Or take the trip further into the cozy market town, Silkeborg, and go exploring. Here there are plenty of opportunities for shopping and good places to eat. Take a trip to Silkeborg The Tollund man, who was found by Bølling Lake, and who is the world's best preserved bog, can now be visited at Museum Silkeborg, which is a ten minute drive from DCU-Camping Hesselhus. In Silkeborg you can also visit the exciting Museum Jorn, AQUA Aquarium & Animal Park and explore the cozy market town. Here you can also enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river Gudenå, while life parades past. Take a trip to Legoland and Givskud Zoo If the family is going on a day trip, Legoland and Givskud Zoo are close by with just a half hour drive.
