Quite nice with some compromises
We used the place for an overnight stay when we were passing through and because we wanted to visit Bad Salzungen. We would not recommend this place for a longer stay.

The operator is friendly, just a nice guy. We wouldn't have been able to manage the distance to the electricity box without his additional... cable drum, for example - he just knows the disadvantages of his pitch and helps wherever he can.

The sanitary facilities are definitely getting on in years. Collective showers are simply no longer up to date. The extension that serves as a workshop or garage has also seen better days, and although the catering facilities on the pitch are somehow leased out, they are still closed and languishing.

The pitch is basically a meadow, and if you're lucky like us and there's not much going on, you're in the first row to the quarry pond - very nice. However, it wasn't for us for more than one night, maybe again in a while when something has been renovated. The potholes on the paths, for example, were freshly filled with gravel, so something is happening...

For those who like noise
The operator refers to the observance of quiet hours, especially after 10 p.m. - but on the other hand, chaotic parties with disco sounds and car howls are very generously permitted on his premises.

The small campsite is located directly on a beautiful bathing lake with a large sunbathing lawn. There is a friendly service and very good catering in a small restaurant.
Negative ting
Unfortunately, the campsite is located on a busy main road.
Small, inexpensive and beautiful campsite
A very beautiful and well-kept campsite with good bathing facilities on a natural lake. Plenty of space on a well-kept large sunbathing lawn and a nice playground are further plus points. The operators are super nice and help you with almost any problem. The fees are very reasonable and a small restaurant provides fresh and delicious food.

Beautiful location, very friendly. Sanitary facilities unfortunately very unclean, which was due to fellow campers. Cleaning several times a day would be nice. Hot shower water for 1 euro only 3 minutes - too short. Otherwise no hot water available.
